L’Oréal Paris ambassador, Blake Lively made her debut on the Cannes red carpet wearing a gorgeous burgundy Gucci Première gown, followed by two more stunning looks by Chanel Couture and Gucci Première again.

Here’s how to get her look. The actress wore a shimmering gunmetal rendition of the smokey eye look with a smouldering finish. I just loved her flawless base, lush lashes and sultry eyeliner. So take your beauty cues from Blake and master her bold smokey eye by applying the below.

Start by applying an eye makeup primer to your eyelids for long-lasting coverage. Follow by covering your eyelids and inner corners of your eyes with a base coat that matches your skin tone which will make blending your colours easier.

Using a small eyeshadow blending brush apply a deep gunmetal shade at the corners and along the lower lashline, blending along the way. It’s important to apply it as close to the lash line as possible – applying it to the edges is key to getting the perfect result.

Using a kohl pencil, line your upper and lower lashline while using a smudge brush to smudge the corners accentuating the shape of your eyes.

Apply two or three generous coats of mascara for an extra dramatic look.

With so much going on this weekend I almost forgot to announce who was best dressed of the week.

Well, it was a two-way tie between Blake Lively in Gucci Première and Blake Lively in Gucci Première. While I believed her opening ceremony gown was the better of the two, it would appear you guys loved them both equally.

My choice was the great Cate Blanchett in Armani Privé. What can I say; it’s a match made in fashion heaven.

When it came to the fellas, you gave Ryan Reynolds in Gucci the top honour this week. I, on the other hand, was swept away by Benedict Cumberbatch in his impeccable Ralph Lauren Black Label suit.

"The Captive" Premiere - The 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival

Just as we hoped, Blake Lively joined husband Ryan Reynolds on the red carpet for the premiere of his latest movie ‘Captives’ during Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 16) in Cannes, France.

Working black and white in unison, the couple blew me away.

She wore a Gucci Première black and white silk crepe fifties-inspired strapless gown featuring a full skirt and a dramatic train, while he wore Gucci black satin peak lapel one-button Signoria tuxedo with a white evening shirt, white satin bowtie, black silk cummerbund and white leather laceups.

While I prefer Blake’s first Gucci Première gown, I don’t think she has ever looked more beautiful than she did tonight. I have goosebumps on my goosebumps.

It’s like looking at a couple from Hollywood’s golden age, they complemented each other so well.

Blake wore over 180 cts in Lorraine Schwartz diamonds including 20 ct diamond studs, two diamond necklaces, a natural pearl and unheated ruby and diamond bracelet and her own Lorraine Schwartz pink diamond engagement ring.

Ryan wore a pink gold ‘Octo’ Bulgari watch with black alligator strap.

Blake-Lively-In-Giambattista-Valli-Couture-Grand-Journal-TV2

Blake Lively made a guest appearance on the ‘Grand Journal’ TV show earlier today (May 15) before taking to the red carpet for the ‘Mr Turner’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

Showing off her legs on this occasion, Blake wore a Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 Couture white textured mini dress with pink embroidery and crystal detailing, which she styled with nude Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

If you’re thinking, ‘Couture, for a mid-afternoon TV show?’ remember this is Cannes where even Couture at breakfast wouldn’t be frowned upon.

Blake Lively In Chanel Couture - 'Mr Turner' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Blake Lively was back on the red carpet this evening (May 15) for the ‘Mr Turner’ Premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

The actress wore a Chanel Spring 2014 Couture iridescent ankle-length dress enriched with sequins, tulle and organza embroideries with a silk kimono draped around her arms.

I can already feel that some will take exception to the plunging neckline, but my issue the placement of her hands in her pockets, mimicking the runway.

This is not the first time she has mimicked the runway. You may remember her Lanvin Spring 2011 look worn to the Spike TV Awards, where she parted her skirt to give it movement like the runway image.

Nonetheless, this was another amazing look for Blake, who dazzled as brightly as the frock, accessorising with Sophia Webster ‘Etta’ pink pumps with a diamante heel, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
