Who Wore Juan Carlos Obando Better? Blake Lively or Tinashe?

Blake Lively was the first to wear this stunning bold red Juan Carlos Obando Fall 2016 long asymmetrical tank dress with the matching trousers and scarf while promoting ‘Cafe Society’ during Cannes Film Festival.

The pregnant star look radiant, as ever, styling her look with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

While I understand why Blake opted for the waist-tie, I love how Tinashe styled her two-piece look to the 2016 VMAs.

Tinashe wins for me.

Blake Lively In Oscar de la Renta – American Ballet Theatre Spring 2017 Gala

While we’re disappointed that Blake Lively doesn’t appear to be heading to Cannes this year, she did make an appearance at the American Ballet Theatre Spring 2017 Gala on Monday (May 22) in New York City.

Displaying the feminine delicacy we love, Blake’s beautifully draped Oscar de la Renta Fall 2017 gown is cut from an eye-catching neon citrine silk chiffon which is as sunny as the actress’ personality.

I love the turquoise Lorraine Schwartz earrings for and additional pop of colour, but I was kinda underwhelmed in the hair department as it feels a tad too casual for this look.

Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals provided the finishing touch.

‘Paint it Black’ New York Premiere

A trio of starlets were in attendance at the premiere of ‘Paint It Black’ in New York City on Monday (May 15).

Blake Lively: I always look forward to seeing Blake on the red carpet, as I’m generally in adoration of her chic style. With this Michael Kors Fall 2017 ensemble, however, I was only half-sold. The white tank underneath the embellished sheer top threw me for a loop, as it took away some of the shimmery radiance.

Alexis Bledel: Alexis delighted us the last time out in her medley of vibrant hues, and she stayed true to that spirit in this Saloni Spring 2017 vivid-print frock. The colours are so striking, but I do think she could have had more fun with her shoe choice with a sandal in the same palette.

Amber Tamblyn: Like Blake, Amber also opted to paint it black in her suited-up ensemble. The creamy, lace blouse brought a flourish of femininity to the look. But her lace-up brogues certainly played more into the menswear-inspired influences. With her tapered-leg trousers, I would have preferred a more delicate sandal or stiletto, though. What about you?

Blake Lively In Atelier Versace – 2017 Met Gala

Blake Lively was another of the evening’s guests at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

King Midas would find nothing to fault about her gilded Atelier Versace gown, which erupted at the bottom in a sea of feathery blue plumes.

It’s not the first time she’s worn feathers at the Met Gala, as in 2013, she also brought in some serious plumage.

But, aside from that, I feel like we’ve seen incarnations of this look before. Beyonce and Kim Kardashian are just two who come to mind who’ve worn bird-inspired gowns in the past.

Perhaps I’m having some feather fatigue, even though I wanted to love this body-contouring, liquid gold moment on Blake. Did it maintain its lustrous shine for you?
