Beyonce Knowles had a lot of covers during 2008 and it looks like it will not stop in 2009, as she graces the cover of Elle US January 2009.

The singer/actress looks slightly over-airbrushed on the cover, wearing a purple Emporio Armani one-shoulder dress with a Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 metallic sash tied to the waist.

On her relationship with Jay-Z: “It’s a power struggle. But if I didn’t respect someone and they didn’t have that strength, then I would be bored. I wouldn’t be attracted to them.”

On her life: “There are a lot of things I never did, because I believe in watching those true Hollywood stories and I see how easy it is to lose track of your life. Think about Marilyn Monroe.”

On having a baby: “No way! I’m terrified of delivering a child because I saw my nephew being born. That traumatized me. I’m only 27. I’ve got time.”

On being affected by playing Etta James: “My mom had to leave the set. I don’t normally curse. Maybe twice a year. I have to be really livid. Somebody saying things or scheduling something where I’m not in control. It was freeing, but it was also the most emotionally draining time of my life. Every day I would come home; my eyes would be completely swollen.”

Tina on Sasha Fierce: “Her cousin Angie gave her that name. We’d tease Beyoncé about having a split personality. Me and Angie and Ty, her stylist, would work with her doing a quick change when she’d come off the stage between sets. Beyoncé would start screaming, ‘What’s wrong with you? Where’s my shoe?’ ‘Uh oh,’ we’d say, ‘Sasha is here.’ I’m like, This is some crazy person who’s doing this quick change. She’s another person up there. We don’t take it personally. Sasha is her bragging side…I don’t know whether to say it, but her hip-hop side.”

Over the holiday period you may have seen that Beyonce’s new video Diva was premiered.

What you may have also noticed is that most of her wardrobe in the video was created by the futuristic designer Gareth Pugh.

Beyonce first surprised us all wearing Gareth Pugh when she performed at MTV’s EMAs last month. She gained a lot of kudos for her 2 looks that night, so it is not surprise that Beyonce and her dancers performed in a wide selection of Gareth Pugh pieces from his Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 collection for her new video.

Her looks include towering black and white platforms, a plastic appliqué waterfall jacket, a leather fencing jacket with contrasting armour plates on each arm.

What I want to know is how does she dance in such structured ensembles?

Beyonce Knowles was in Europe recently, were she appeared on various TV shows including UK’s X Factor and the French Star Academy.

For her performance on the Star Academy she sung If I Were A Boy and Irreplaceable with one of the contestant named Alice. For her performances B looked very sexy wearing Herve Leger Sequin bandage dress.

Now I know we had Herve overload this year, but this is one of the more interesting ones as the dress had multicoloured ombré sequins all over the dress.

This dress is currently sold-out on the international Net-A-Porter site, but is still available on the US site for $2,800.

I think the majority of us were surprised by the improvement of Beyonce Knowles this year style-wise. This I would like to attribute this to her getting married, and feeling more in control of her style.

Not only did she improve on the red carpet, but in her stage costumes and her day to day style.

She does take two steps forward with the occasional one step back, but will she continue to improve, or will she return to the bling?

Blake Lively was the one to watch in 2008, and we all know what a disaster that turned out to be.

Fingers crossed.

“Shrek The Musical” Broadway Opening Night, New York

After lending her voice for the Shrek animation, Cameron Diaz attended the opening night of Broadway musical version at the Broadway Theatre in New York last night.

The actress was wearing an ivory Bill Blass dress with an embellished yoke, under a black Dior coat and bright red lips.

I always love seeing Diaz on the red carpet, even with a coat.

America Ferrera also kept herself warm with a black coat, but we still got to see her zebra print Oscar de la Renta Fall 2008 dress underneath.

“Damages” Season 2 Premiere, New York

Debra Messing wowed us all on the cover of Shape Magazine, and the wow factor continues on the red carpet, as the actress looks amazing wearing a black and brown Black Halo pleated bodice cami dress.

‘Los 40 Principales’ 2008, Madrid

I am officially in love with Beyonce again.

The singer arrived at this event looking stunning wearing a Reem Acra strapless gown, which had a jeweled detail at the waist and a ruffled skirt.

Spike TV’s 2008 “Video Game Awards”, LA

Kim Kardashian is at a Spike TV event, so we should not attack her for wearing this metallic gold dress with a black trim.

OK it’s tacky, but kind of perfect for the event.

Eliza Dushku wore that beaded Nicole Miller dress, which became very popular this weekend.

The actress wore her dress with calf-high boots.

The 2nd Annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Dubai Gala, Dubai

Salma Hayek looks fabulous in her black and white cowl-neck Balenciaga dress.

Is it me or is she slimmer than she was pre-pregnancy?

Goldie Hawn is like Iman, as they never seems to age.

The actress looked breath-taking wearing a white chiffon strapless Gianfranco Ferre gown, with a stunning diamond necklace.

Actress Laura Linney wore a gold jacquard Michael Kors Fall 2008 gown, with a bow detail on the empire waist.

“Yes Man” – Rome Photocall

Even for a photocall Zooey Deschanel could have done a lot better.

Jessica Simpson was the first to wear this stunning embellished navy and gold tunic dress by Nicole Miller.

The singer wore it with tights and black knee high boots when she was in Macy’s Chicago to promote her new fragrance Fancy.

Beyonce Knowles tore the house down with a stunning performance of If I Was A Boy, on the X Factor Saturday night, wearing the same tunic with latex leggings and spikey gold heels.

This dress secured it popularity with Eliza Dushku also wearing it last night at the Spike TV’s 2008 “Video Game Awards”.

The actress wore her dress with tights and boots.

Th dress was a little snug on Beyonce, but I love how she paired it with leggings and complimented it with gold heels, so she wins this for me.

“The Tale Of Despereaux” Los Angeles Premiere

Emma Watson’s style star just keeps on rising.

After sitting front row at many shows during Paris and London Fashion Week, Emma learnt a lot, making a strong fashion statement, wearing a midnight blue cocktail dress, with bustier detailing, folds on one side of the skirt and a plunging scoop back. She looked chic, modern and edgy. This really shows that she is not scared of fashion and is willing to take risks.

She kept accessories to a minimum, by adding a pair of glittering drop earrings and some strappy black sandals to complete her look.

31st Annual Kennedy Center Honors, Washington

WOW. When Beyonce Knowles rocks, she rocks.

The Zuhair Murad Spring 2008 mermaid gown, accentuates her stunning figure. It was like this gown was made for her. The super-tight strapless dress was complete with corsage detail.

Her hair was swept up in a ’60s-inspired do.

STUNNING.

Queen Latifah is another woman who knows how to dress her curves.

She arrived in a stunning black gown, and a fur trimmed shrug.

A beaded necklace, black clutch and smoky eyes complete this dramatic look, and I love it.

A Not So Silent Night Benefiting The Trevor Project, LA

Can someone save Rachel Zoe from herself.

Rumer Willis’ ensemble not too bad, but her hair lets her down.

I wish she would stick to a short black style, as I think this suits her best.

I like the idea of Selma Blair’s Behnaz Sarafpour Resort 2009 dress, but she does not wear it that well.

The bodice looks limp from not being pressed properly.

Sarah Chalke wears a Zac Posen LBD with a very big white bow.

Her jewels are by Neil Lane and her shoes by Louboutin.

The Spirit Berlin Photocall

Eva Mendes again outshines Scarlett Johansson on the red carpet wearing a Bill Blass Spring 2009 multi-coloured sheath dress accented with a fuchsia pink belt, with red suede Louboutin’s.

Is that a all-in-one Scarlett is wearing?

I can’t wait to see what they both wear on the red carpet this evening.
