Whilst I’m impatiently eagerly awaiting Beyonce Knowles’ US Vogue April 2009 editorial, I came across her Vogue Italia March 2009 editorial.

The editorial is a mix of classic Beyonce, with an old school vibe.

B is very much channeling Marilyn Monroe here, who, like Beyonce was curvaceous. I think this is a very encouraging message, which is that you don’t have to be a size 0 actress to grace a high fashion magazine editorial.

I do love the graceful elegant pieces she is wearing, by her favourite designer Giorgio Armani, but I preferred the more edgier editorials from last year, in which Beyonce was taken out of her comfort zone.

It’s been a while since we had a cover wars Who Wore It Better?

Beyonce Knowles shows off her famous curves, whilst all oiled up on the March 2009 cover of Los Angeles Confidential wearing a white hot Herve Leger by Max Azria swimsuit.

Anna Faris takes B on, wearing the same swimsuit on the cover of Arena UK magazine’s final April 2009 issue.

The magazine has suspended publication after 22 years, with the final edition going on sale next week.

For me there’s no contest. B wins by a very long mile. Her body is OUTSTANDING in this bikini, even though a bandage swimsuit doesn’t appeal to me.

Video Promo Shoot, New York

With hips like Beyonce Knowles you wouldn’t think she would feel the need to exaggerate them, but that’s what happened, when she stepped into this gorgeous nude Thierry Mugler gown.

I love the gown itself, mostly because of the embellishments, but I don’t think it’s not particularly flattering on her. Maybe it’ll look better on film.

The video shoot is reportedly going to be used during her upcoming tour, which starts on March 26 in Canada.

I can’t wait to see what she wears for her tour, as Thierry Mugler designed the 58-piece wardrobe for B and her dancers.

“I Love You, Man”, New York Screening

Becki Newton always brings plenty of sunshine to any red carpet event. On this occasion she wore a geometric print Matthew Williamson Resort 2009 strapless dress, with silver strappy heels.

The heels work so well with this dress. I am happy no tights, nor black heels were involved in this look.

Rashida Jones does herself a disservice wearing this unflattering Phi Pre-Fall 2009
tunic dress.

The pink is nice, but the shape does nothing for her, an engulfs her small frame.

Her look is complete with Jimmy Choo open-toe booties.

Liverpool Fashion Fest Spring/Summer 2009, Mexico

Julianne Moore is also ready for the summer wearing a green and white print sheath dress, with black strappy sandals.

Jennifer Hudson pick up her outstanding new artist Award wearing a black Peter Sorenon dress, which had a feathered detail on the hip.

She completed her look with Givenchy lace ankle sandals.

Beyonce perform her song Halo wearing a gorgeous white gown, with a black band, and delicate embellishments on the bodice, which also cascaded down her skirt.

Jada Pinkett Smith wore a maroon strapless Monique Lhuillier gown, with a a vintage Judith Lieber belt.

I must say I am a bit disappointed the bigger stars did not take to the red carpet.

Taraji P. Henson added her increasing star quality to the red carpet wearing a gorgeous lemon halter neck mermaid Zac Posen gown.

I love the ruffled detail down the middle, and the layering of the hem.

A very chic Rosario Dawson walked the red carpet wearing a black silk taffeta Rafael Cennamo full-skirted dress.

Sanaa Lathan looked ravishing in this daring plunge neck jersey Donna Karan gown with black straps.

I am not a fan of Dakota Fanning’s nude strapless down. It feels too naked.

Alfre Woodard wore a Tadashi fuschia iridescent crinkled silk chiffon fly away cocktail dress. Her look was accessorized with a Mary Norton gold clutch.

Chandra Wilson impressed me on this red carpet.

Usually I find a fault, but the hair, the make-up, the jewels, the Daniel Swarovski clutch and her orange Pamella Roland Spring 2008 gown are all faultless.

Can you believe that this is Rudy Huxtable aka Keshia Knight Pulliam?

She stands out on the red carpet wearing an electric blue gown.

After Taraji, Vanessa Williams wore my second favourite gown on this red carpet. I love the colour, and jeweled detail on this one-shouldered gown.

Like Chandra, Tichina Arnold looks flawless. This baby blue gown really stands out and makes her glow.

Holly Robinson Peete wore a coral and silver Naeem Khan Spring 2008 patterned cocktail dress, with pewter strappy heels.

Gwyneth Paltrow was dressed in all white, barring her pink and yellow Roger Vivier heels.

The actress wore a Balmain Spring 2009 jacket with satin lapels, over a white plunging Calvin Klein Pre-Fall 2009 dress, which had contrasting fabrics of velvet, satin and jersey.

Even though her clothes are all current, she is oozing a retro vibe.

I love the invisible make-up.

Gwynie’s BFF Beyonce Knowles arrived wearing a black fitted Jean-Paul Gaultier Fall 2007 Couture dress, with a black beaded multiple layered necklace.

The only thing sparkling here, are the jewel details on her heels.

I don’t like this at all.

I almost fell off my chair when I saw that Jennifer Aniston’s BFF was NOT wearing black.

Courteney Cox took a break for the norm, to wear this L’Wren Scott metallic spaghetti strapped dress, with matching heels.

I think Dakota Fanning or Miley Cyrus would better suit this haltered black mini dress, with a white bow tie, than Sheryl Crow.

Rita Wilson brought a water brust of colour to the red carpet, in her aqua strapless dress.

She wore the dress with a stunning Lanvin statement necklace, but sadly her pointy pumps let her down.

Angie Harmon’s grey Kaufman Franco jersey dress hugs her in all the right places.

Lorraine Schwartz hosts H.E. Yousef Al Otaiba, New York

Beyonce Knowles sure does love big earrings, and they are usually provided by Lorraine Schwartz for B’s red carpet moments. So it was no wonder the gorgeous singer was guest of honour at Lorraine’s event.

Wearing a clinging Hervé Léger gown, B literally takes my breath away. The grey is so understated, and of works well with her Lorraine Schwartz chandler earrings.

“Late Show with David Letterman”, New York

Dakota Fanning wears a very cute navy playsuit with a Chanel necklace. My problem is the heels. They are a bit too sex up for my liking. I would have put her in gladiator flats.

“The Pink Panther 2″ New York Premiere

Aishwarya Rai wore a Alberta Ferretti Fall 2008 black chiffon draped gown with a plunging neckline.

The stunning beauty never fails to impress on the red carpet. She wore her gown with a silver clutch, and a bedazzling diamond necklace.

From the scalloped edges of her white coat, it was easy to tell that Emily Mortimer was wearing Chloé.

The white cotton coat and embroidered white dress, are both from the Spring 2009 collection.

She complimented her dress with gold heels, and a gold clutch, but she mixed her metals opting for a diamond choker and a silver bracelet.

BAFTA Red Carpet Programme, London

Like a trooper Fearne Cotton pose for photos in the snow whilst presenting the BAFTA Red Carpet Programme at the Bafta building in London.

Her multi-coloured sequined dress is very reminiscent of Jennifer Connelly’s Balmain dress, don’t you think?
