2015 Malaga Film Festival Closing Ceremony

2015 Malaga Spanish Film Festival Closing Ceremony

The 2015 Malaga Spanish Film Festival closing ceremony took place at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (April 25) in Malaga, Spain.

Juana Acosta: The Columbian beauty looked sensational wearing one of her favourite designers, Oscar de la Renta, selecting a decadent dress which hits all the high points of Oscar de la Renta’s signature feminine polish. The high/low hemline adds to the charming summery effect, with green Aquazzura sandals perfecting the look.

Goya Toledo: The Spanish beauty serves up no surprises here, wearing an Elie Saab gown. I am, however, surprised that the look feels so fall-like, but the actress is not lacking in the sophistication and elegance department, so the look is more than worthy of the occasion.

Aura Garrido In Louis Vuitton & Chrisitan Dior – 2015 Malaga Film Festival

Aura Garrido In Louis Vuitton & Chrisitan Dior - 2015 Malaga Film Festival

Aura Garrido attended both the ‘Asesinos Inocentes’ photocall and ‘Sexo Facil, Peliculas Tristes’ premiere, during the 2015 Malaga Film Festival on Wednesday (April 22) in Malaga, Spain, where the Spanish actress favoured French brands.

‘Asesinos Inocentes’ Photocall: While the Louis Vuitton Resort 2015 collection has been done to death, I do on occasion find myself still enjoying the absolutely youthful and jovial pieces on the red carpet. Sadly, I don’t sense that here. The look doesn’t seem to fit Aura’s considered, elegant style.

‘Sexo Facil, Peliculas Tristes’ Premiere: Aura’s second look was much more like it. Hailing from the Christian Dior Resort 2015 collection, I love how this gown demonstrates that simple is beautiful, without being boring. The sophisticated look was styled with a Louis Vuitton Petite Malle clutch.

Aura Garrido In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture – 2015 Goya Awards

Aura Garrido In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture - 2015 Goya Awards

Aura Garrido attended the 2015 Goya Awards held at Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe on Saturday (February 7) in Madrid, Spain.

Known for her love of a pretty gown, this time she served up a Jean Paul Gaultier Couture dual-colour black and white gown with a lot more bite.

Laced with gold spikes and featuring a unique one-shoulder cape, if you were suffering from a toothache from the previous looks, this look would come as a welcome reprieve.

Styled with a directional Gemmasu ear cuff, Jimmy Choo metallic clutch, and bold red lip, for me this was a risk which paid off.

This would rank in my top 5 of the night.

The Feroz Cinema Awards 2015

Premios Feroz 2015

The Feroz Cinema Awards 2015 took place at the Gran Teatro Ruedo Las Ventas on Sunday (January 25) in Madrid, Spain.

Aura Garrido: The Spanish actress wore a fiery-hued floral-print Naeem Khan gown to go with her new cropped auburn ‘do, adding a bold red lip and smouldering eye makeup to the look.

Inma Cuesta: Perhaps my favourite here is Inma wearing a beautiful Dolores Promesas strapless gown featuring a sequinned fitted bodice and flowing floral-print skirt. The look is effortless and elegant with plenty of modern flare.

Who Wore Oscar de la Renta Better…Aura Garrido or Lea Michele?

Who Wore Oscar de la Renta Better Aura Garrido or Lea Michele

Aura Garrido wore an Oscar de la Renta Resort 2014 strapless indigo and white floral fil-coupé silk-gazar bubble-peplum dress for the ‘Carmina y Amen’ premiere during the 17th Malaga Film Festival back in March.

The gorgeous actress styled her look with a gold-trimmed Mascaró clutch, gold sandals and Anton Heunis jewels, with flowing glossy waves and a pink lip.

Lea Michele wore the same dress while attending the Hollywood Reporter’s Women In Entertainment Breakfast back in December, styling her look with a silver box clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Tiga’ sandals.

Seeing the looks side by side, I much prefer Aura’s shorter length, which creates a beautiful shape and silhouette, plus the overall styling, so she wins for me.
