Audrey Tautou In Prada – Palme D’Or Winners Photocall

Audrey Tautou - Palme D'Or Winners Photocall

Mistress of ceremonies Audrey Tautou was spotted inside the Palais des Festivals for the Closing Ceremony of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival this evening plus she attended the Palme D’Or Winners Photocall.

The French actress wore a red ball Prada gown accented with a pink sash and pink straps, which has to be her most elaborate look to date.

Usually Audrey sticks to a fairly safe colour palette and from this festival alone, she has worn mostly midi dresses of a strapless nature — so this look is a welcome surprise and a great way to close the ceremony.

‘La Venus a la Fourrure’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Round Up

'La Venus a la Fourrure' Cannes Film Festival Premiere Round Up

Here is a quick round up of the some of the other attendees at the ‘La Venus a la Fourrure’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening.

Audrey Tautou: The mistress of ceremonies wears her third strapless Lanvin dress of this festival, this time selecting a black pleated and tiered frock styled with Chaumet earrings and black ankle strap sandals. It’s my least favourite of the three, as it somewhat overwhelms her petite frame.

Bianca Balti: Providing some glamour to the occasion, Bianca wore a Dolce & Gabbana red fully beaded gown with a black lace underlay, styling her look with statement earrings, a hot red lip colour and a slick back bun.

Saadet Aksoy: The Turkish actress gave us another princess moment wearing a dove-grey embellished gown.

Audrey Tautou In Lanvin – amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Audrey Tautou In Lanvin - amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

We haven’t seen Audrey Tautou, mistress of ceremonies for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, since the opening ceremony, so I’m delighted to see her once again on the red carpet for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France on Thursday evening.

The French actress had the honour of Alber Elbaz creating this silver frosted lace Lanvin dress with a tiered horse-hair hem especially for this occasion.

A butterfly accented silver crystal belt accented her waist, with a Lanvin stone-and-wood shell box clutch complementing her look.

The only thing I would change here are her nude Lanvin pumps. They feel so ordinary for such an exquisite custom piece.

Audrey Tautou In Yiqing Yin – 2013 Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Audrey Tautou In Yiqing Yin - 2013 Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Audrey Tautou didn’t take to the red carpet for the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony last night, as she was holding court as the mistress of ceremonies at the Palais des Festivals in France.

The French actress used the occasion to showcase an up-and-coming young French designer of Chinese descent, Yiqing Yin, who spent 400 hours creating her unusual, yet brilliant frosted mint organza and silk chiffon gown with some micro pleating, a fitted bodice and a floaty sheer skirt with a side slit.

This piece really is a work of art. As always, I love her effortless styling.

Many of you disliked her photocall look, so I’m sure this amazing piece makes up for it.

Audrey Tautou In RED Valentino – Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Audrey Tautou In REDValentino - Cannes Film Festival Photocall 2013

Audrey Tautou took part in a photocall on Tuesday afternoon at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France which unveiled her as the Mistress of Ceremonies, taking over from Berenice Bejo, who handled last year’s event.

The French actress, who looked very much at home, wore a summery frock from the RED Valentino Spring 2013 collection.

Looking at the cream-and-yellow printed dress with a bow accent on the model, you would think this dress was made for someone like Megan Gale or Ariel Winter, but she carries this look off without a hint of twee.

Nude pumps, her signature crop and a raspberry lip colour completed her look.

You may remember that Alexa Chung wore this same dress to the Grammys earlier this year.
