Ashley Roberts attended a photocall to launch her new fragrance ‘Ashley by Ashley Roberts’ at The Folly on Wednesday (March 12) in London.
For the launch of her imaginatively titled fragrance, the former Pussycat Doll brought out the sun in the capital wearing a yellow bodycon sleeveless sequin dress from Key Fashion.
I love the asymmetrical neckline for a fun twist, along with her punchy printed Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps.
The thing that I find questionable about the look – apart from that bird cage – is the eye makeup. I would’ve preferred a fresher approach for this dress.
You can buy Ashley’s Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ Pumps from Net-A-Porter.com.
Former Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts took to the red carpet last night for the National Television Awards 2014 (January 22), held at the O2 Arena in London
Wearing an on-trend metallic dress by Manning Cartell for the occasion, the TV presenter made a striking turn at the event.
Having seen Ashley in a mix of long flowing gowns and sexy mini dresses in the past, it was great to see her experiment with a new look.
Ashley is also one of the first stars we’ve spotted trailing the new season’s key metallic trend so cedit where credits due, but I can’t help but feel Ashley suits more feminine dresses rather than this directional turn.
Ashley’s mix of a dark purple lip and slicked back hair feels too severe. To be fair, it suits the modernity of the dress but a softer lip shade would have been much more flattering.
I do however love the combination of the midi length and split – it’s so much more sexy showing a subtle flash of flesh don’t you think?
Ashley Roberts attended the London premiere of ‘Powder Room’ held at Cineworld Haymarket yesterday evening.
The former ‘Pussycat Dolls’ star, who is known for her love of micro-mini dresses, selected a 1960s leather playsuit from vintage boutique The Gathering Goddess.
Her sexy biker-jacket-esque romper with zipper accents, pockets and a belted waist was styled with leopard-print heels and a bright-red lip colour.
While a part of me likes the romper and believes better styling would’ve perfected this look, another part believes that Ashley wasn’t the right person to wear this look. She’s a tad too vanilla to make this work for me. Dare I say that I would’ve liked to have seen this on Miley Cyrus.
It was a very busy day yesterday, so here is a quick roundup of the other celebs who took to the red carpet for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ London premiere joining the main stars, Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Jena Malone and Willow Shields.
Edith Bowman: The radio presenter was the host on the night, interviewing all the stars on the night. She didn’t fade into the background wearing this Vilshenko Fall 2013 gown with a ruffled neckline which featured a poppy print, which couldn’t have been more appropriate on Remembrance Day. Despite how incredibly busy this is, I kinda like it… a lot.
Natalie Dormer: The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress smouldered wearing an Emilio Pucci black gown with point d’esprit and sequin detail and a sexy open back, which she styled with black Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps.
Laura Haddock: I was surprised to find a solo picture of Laura, as she and hubby Sam Clafin were pretty inseparable all night. She looked divine wearing a Sophia Kah white dress with black-lace detailing and an open back.
Meghan Markle: The ‘Suits’ actress kept it simple and sexy in a black Alexander McQueen dress. The classic LBD is given an elegant twist with gold crystal and glass embellishments and a flirty ruffled hem styled with black strappy sandals.
Here is a roundup of the good, the bad and the ugly at the 2013 Pride of Britain Awards held at Grosvenor House in London yesterday evening. I will let you decide who belongs in which category.
Tess Daly: The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host wore an Emilio Pucci Fall 2013 LBD featuring a sexy side slit, sheer sleeves and slash inserts. Possibly the first to get her footwear right on this red carpet, she added gold-metallic pumps to her look. I love her golden waves, but frown upon the suitcase-sized clutch she opted for. You may remember that Kelly Rowland wore this same dress back in January.
Katherine Jenkins: I was shocked to see Katherine not wearing a gown. Instead, she selected an eggplant Lanvin one-shoulder dress styled with conservative black pumps.
Sarah Harding: The former Girls Aloud singer sparkled in a gold short-sleeved gown featuring sheer embellished panels styled with a gold clutch and chic updo. I really liked the gown until the back revealed her ‘Don’t be Bitter. Glitter’ tattoo.
