2017 Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party

In advance of the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Entertainment Weekly hosted its Pre-Emmy Party on Friday (September 15) in West Hollywood, California.

Sophia Bush: This red Stella McCartney body-skimming dress with car wash slits held potential, but I wish the styling had been more complementary. A tonal red sandal like the Edie Parker clutch would have provided a more streamlined effect but I would have stopped the red at the makeup—red eye shadow is always a tough look to pull off.

Padma Lakshmi: The ‘Top Chef’ host also went bold with the eye shadow, hers an intense shade of violet. However, her sultry Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2018 floral-embroidered dress commanded enough attention on its own. I love that she didn’t resort to black pumps, but I’m wishing for a sandal here.

Mandy Moore
: With a shiny new play on an LBD, the ‘This Is Us’ actress donned a Sally LaPointe Pre-Fall 2017 sequin dress styled with Sophia Webster shoes and a red Jimmy Choo clutch. The style-forward edge of the turtleneck sweater piece grew on me, although at first, I did want to remove it.

Ashley Madekwe In Jeffrey Dodd – bareMinerals Dinner Party

With her flawless skin, it’s no wonder that bareMinerals partnered with Ashley Madekwe for the launch of their bareMinerals BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation.

Yesterday (August 17), the ‘Revenge’ actress attended a dinner party in LA to celebrate the launch wearing an eye catching two piece look from Jeffery Dodd’s Resort 2018 collection.

Ashley always steps up to the sartorial mark, but this is remarkable, even by her high standards.

I love how the on-trend pink stripe bolsters the slim silhouette, and how the matchy accessories consisting of ‘Nudists’ sandals and Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch enhances the look further.

When asked why she loves bareMinerals BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation Ashley said, “I like my skin to look flawless, but I don’t like it to feel caked and the BAREPRO is the perfect mix of that. Even though it is full coverage, you use so little of it— literally half a pump will do your entire face. Even though it’s full coverage, you still see your skin. I used to use a beauty sponge and I don’t anymore. Now that I’ve got this brush, I’m obsessed with it because the bristles are so thick, so it kind of buffs it out in seconds. This (foundation) almost melts into the skin.”

The range comes in 30 shades, Ashley wears BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation in Sable 21.

Ashley Madekwe In Emilio Pucci – ‘The Last Tycoon’ LA Premiere

One thing you can always rely on, is a breath-taking moment from Ashley Madekwe.

The British actress made her mark on red carpet for last night’s LA premiere of ‘The Last Tycoon’ alongside Lily Collins, Lea Michele and Matt Bomer wearing an Emilio Pucci Fall 2017 on-trend suit.

When I was remarking on how I wished Gwendoline Christie’s Bella Freud suit had tonal buttons, this is what I had in mind, as the overall look is so much chicer without the contrasting details.

Speaking of details the cut is so sharp you could cut your finger on it. And I adore this boxy silhouette, it gives this trend a whole new lease of life.

Mixing metals with her accessories, the look was finished with super curly locks instead of her usual poker straight tresses.

J’Adore from head-to-toe. Methinks this is the best presentation of this trend yet.

Panthere De Cartier Party

There were many stars to watch at the Panthere De Cartier Party in LA on Friday (May 5), which celebrated the relaunch of the Panthere timepiece.

Ashley Madekwe: There was something breathtaking about the fluidity of form in this Halston Heritage ensemble, which was chic minimalism at its finest.

Dakota Johnson: It doesn’t get more timeless than an LBD, especially this ladylike version from the Shaina Mote Spring 2017 collection, sophisticatedly styled with a J.W. Anderson ‘Pierce’ bag, Cartier watch, and Gucci sandals.

Sienna Miller: Also in a minimalist and monochromatic mood, Sienna wore a flowing silk champagne ensemble from The Row styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Marchavekel’ sandals and a Tod’s clutch. With the slip-inspired top and loose pants, some might see elegant PJs, but it was still an effortlessly beautiful look.

Victoria Beckham For Target Launch Event

Victoria Beckham was surrounded by VB-loving beauties at her Victoria Beckham For Target launch event on Saturday (April 1) in LA, where guests showed off the accessibly minded capsule collection in top form.

Victoria Beckham: Slouchy silhouettes have become something of a currently expected staple with VB—as she wears them so well. The calla lily motif in this ensemble added a whimsical, feminine finish yet it couldn’t take away the fact that those trousers were scraping the floor a bit too much.

Kate Mara: Kate’s seafoam-green track jacket and shorts combined sporty appeal with a more precious lacy allure. While the Emm Kuo clutch complemented the look well, I wish her patent camel platforms had been exchanged for a lighter nude sandal.

Ashley Madekwe: Pretty in pink, Ashley couldn’t have been more charming in this sweetly simple dress with a floral-printed collar. I love the way she echoed the light ballet-pink hues in her makeup with a softly pearlescent Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch rounded out the look perfectly.

Ashley Madekwe In Galvan – ‘The Zookeeper’s Wife’ LA Premiere

Ashley Madekwe attended the premiere of ‘The Zookeeper’s Wife’ on Monday (March 27) in Hollywood, California.

We love Ashley for her simple elegance, and that is what she was serving up again here wearing a silver-tone chainmail knit dress from Galvan’s Fall 2015 collection.

The pom pom drop earrings added a fun touch, but I wasn’t as excited about the black pumps.

However, I understand her selection as she wanted to keep the look simple and not turn this into a disco outfit.

A signature Bottega Veneta knot clutch rounded out the look.
