Emporio Armani Spring 2015 Front Row

Emporio Armani Spring 2015 Front Row

Ashley Madekwe and Bella Thorne were perched in the front row of the Emporio Armani Spring 2015 show during Milan Fashion Week yesterday afternoon (September 18).

Ashley Madekwe: Embodying the elegance of the brand to a tee, the actress wore a white Emporio Armani sleeveless blazer with slim-fit trousers. Styled in a timeless, chic manner with black and white accessories, I can’t help but be captivated by the enigmatic and androgynous cool appeal of this look.

Bella Thorne: The actress also went the black and white route while opting for separates with an all-round looser fit. This I found surprising, and refreshing, considering that her style often consists of tight-fitted mini dresses. However, the only thing I would change about this look is the shoes. There is something quite clownish about them.

Ashley Madekwe In Christian Dior & Wes Gordon – BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea Party & Variety And Women In Film Emmy Nominee Celebration

Ashley Madekwe In Christian Dior & Wes Gordon - BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea Party & Variety And Women In Film Emmy Nominee Celebration

Ashley Madekwe took the red carpet by storm on Saturday (August 23) evening starting at the BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea Party before moving onto the Variety And Women In Film Emmy Nominee Celebration.

BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea Party: Ashley made me swoon upon seeing her wearing a blue Christian Dior jumpsuit featuring one leg wider than the other. Never one to over style, the chic tailored look was teamed with two-tone blue and black sandals and a white Alexander McQueen clutch for a touch of cool-Britannia.

Variety And Women In Film Emmy Nominee Celebration: You may remember that Lindsay Ellingson wore this same Wes Gordon Spring 2014 nude silk crepe dress with yellow vine lace inserts two-weeks ago. I’m pleasantly surprised, and shocked, that dress couldn’t look more different on Ashley. This is the dress I loved on the runway. Perhaps it’s the styling, her skin-tone, pose or just the better fit that makes this work in a way Lindsay couldn’t make happen.

Ashley Madekwe In McQ by Alexander McQueen & Christian Dior – Comic-Con 2014 & Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration

Ashley Madekwe In McQ by Alexander McQueen & Christian Dior - Comic-Con 2014 & Entertainment Weekly's Annual Comic-Con CelebrationAshley Madekwe also made an appearance at Comic-Con International 2014 in San Diego, California, where she was spotted at two events on Saturday (July 26) in two simply chic looks.

Comic-Con Nintendo Lounge: The actress boarded the TV Guide Nintendo Yacht where she kept her look decidedly non-nautical in a McQ by Alexander McQueen Fall 2014 dress with Saint Laurent nude sandals. With the rich royal-purple hue of the frock and its asymmetrical peplum-inspired structure, little else was needed to complete the look, which she made summer appropriate. Long waves and barely-there makeup did the trick.

Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration: For EW’s party at Hard Rock Hotel’s Float, Ashley upped the style ante and gave us another look at Christian Dior’s Spring 2014 collection in this strapless dress worn with Dior shoes. Rather well-suited to the spirit of Comic-Con, the frock’s futuristic shiny metallic silver printed skirt was the main attraction, which Ashley carried off beautifully with a minimal black clutch and a slicked-back ’do.

Dior and Maxfield Celebrate The Winter 2014 Dior Fusion Sneaker Collection

Dior and Maxfield Celebrate The Winter 2014 Dior Fusion Sneaker Collection

Dior and Maxfield celebrated the launch of the Winter 2014 Dior Fusion Sneaker Collection with a cocktail party at Maxfield on Tuesday (July 15) in Los Angeles, California.

Cat Deeley: The British TV host chose a vibrant-coloured ensemble, donning a Dior green sleeveless top styled with a navy mini skirt, with silver accessories completing her look. She takes the runway pieces and makes the look her own.

Ashley Madekwe: The actress, on the other hand, looked like she had just stepped off the runway, looking stunning wearing a Dior Resort 2014 grey lace dress with pops of pink and yellow peeking out from the under-layer. Considering the colours from her dress, she styled her look with grey accessories – including the Saint Laurent ‘Jane’ sandals – and a hot-pink lip.

FORWARD and Cushnie Et Ochs Dinner Party

FORWARD and Cushnie Et Ochs Dinner Party

FORWARD and Cushnie Et Ochs hosted an intimate dinner party last night (June 26) at Gjelina restaurant in Venice, California.

Ashley Madekwe: The actress and fashion blogger wore a long-sleeved Cushnie Et Ochs bordeaux silk crepe dress from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection with nude Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals. The color of the sophisticated dress looked beautiful against Ashley’s skintone, and long, loose waves, practically non-existent makeup and a white mani/pedi rounded out her perfectly effortless approach to style.

Jamie Chung: The actress opted for a teal Cushnie Et Ochs halter dress from the Fall 2014 collection. Like Ashley, Jamie paired her look with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals, and she also rocked the on-trend white mani/pedi. The geometric bodice of the dress is dramatic and editorial, but looks slightly big on the petite star–a bit of tailoring might have served her well. An undone pony and barely there makeup completed the look.

Cody Horn: The actress went with a look from the Spring 2014 Cushnie Et Ochs collection, and the black embossed python lambskin sliced dress made quite an impact. The dress looked beautiful against her toned figure, but by only revealing small slices of skin, was classy, not overt. Simple black sandals and a black clutch were perfect accessories, so as not to take attention away from the dress, and her effortless hair style and ‘does she or doesn’t she’ makeup continued the trend of ‘easy does it’ styling.
