2015 ELLE Women In Hollywood Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 ELLE Women In Hollywood Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 22nd annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards were hosted last night (Oct. 19) at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, California, where ELLE’s eight November cover stars, including Dakota Johnson, Kate Winslet, Ava DuVernay, Amy Schumer, Salma Hayek, Carey Mulligan, Gena Rowlands and Alicia Vikander, were honoured. There many other influential lovelies in attendance joining the cover girls, as well.

Dakota Johnson: As one of the honorees, Dakota maintained her minimalistic-chic approach in a black Calvin Klein Collection gown. Shame about the creases, but it was still a sensually glam, dressing gown moment for the young star. However, it did leave me feeling as if something was missing.

Miranda Kerr: Like Carey Mulligan, Miranda was a beauty in baby blue. The model wore Calvin Klein Collection that fused the soft hue with masculine tailoring and sexy, skin-baring lines. The belly-button-hiding belt across her enviable abs was perhaps used in an effort for a bit more event-appropriate coverage, even if it was a bit bizarre. Matching Christian Louboutin ‘Dorissima’ shoes, a Louboutin ‘Fiocco Box’ clutch, Swarovski by Miranda Kerr collection jewels, and a vivid red lip pulled the look together.

Zoe Saldana
: Dressed in tailored sophistication, the actress wore a fall-inspired Calvin Klein Collection outfit with Christian Louboutin Toeless Muse pumps. I only wish her hair had mirrored the sleek factor with a simple bun.

6th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

6th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

The 6th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took place in sunny Pacific Palisades, California on Saturday (October 17). Let’s see if these bevy of beauties can banish your winter blues.

Nina Dobrev: The actress wore a gorgeous marine-blue Badgley Mischka pleated chiffon dress styled with dainty Stuart Weitzman sandals.

Camilla Belle: Perhaps my favourite from the event, the actress stunned wearing an Andrew Gn Spring 2016 playful skater dress with nautical inspired stripes. The look was styled with Tamara Mellon ‘Frontline’ sandals and an Edie Parker clutch.

January Jones: I don’t think I have seen a more disastrous look for the ‘Mad Men’ actress. The Zimmermann dress ain’t so bad, but the styling is criminal.

Who Wore Topshop Better…Ashley Madekwe or Hailey Baldwin?

Who Wore Topshop Better Ashley Madekwe or Hailey Baldwin

I first spied Ashley Madekwe wearing a Topshop saffron yellow crop top – on her popular style blog Ring My Bell – styled with Topshop denim shorts, a Celine bag and Gianvito Rossi sandals, and swiftly went out to buy the top for myself.

Perhaps Hailey Baldwin had the same game plan, however, she was working a throw-together vibe layering the top and opting for shorter shorts.

I want to give this to Ashley, but I find myself more intrigued by the many elements of Hailey’s look.

Who Wore Self-Portrait Better…Willow Shields or Ashley Madekwe?

Who Wore Self-Portrait Better Willow Shields or Ashley Madekwe

Willow Shields was the first to wear this Self-Portrait Resort 2015 asymmetrical crop top with matching culottes in a striking, graphic square print while attending the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards back in March, before Ashley Madekwe wore the same look during Comic-Con last month.

I loved how both sharpened up the look by making it appear like a cut-out jumpsuit.

Despite stepping out of the box with contrasting accessories in a purple hue, Ashley wins for me for the overall chic styling and polish she gives to this two-piece look.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Ciara In Elie Saab, Ashley Madekwe In Self-Portrait, Jake Gyllenhaal In Tom Ford & Matt Bomer In Ermenegildo Zegna Couture

BDOTW 20 july

It would appear that the ESPYs were your best dressed event last week, as you selected supreme elegance of Ciara in Elie Saab and the suave sophistication of Jake Gyllenhaal in Tom Ford.

I was more enamoured by Ashley Madekwe in Self-Portrait and Matt Bomer In Ermenegildo Zegna Couture who both attended Comic-Con.

There were plenty of laidback looks at Comic-Con, but Ashley’s was oozing with chic finesse making her stand head-and-shoulders above the rest.

The suit and sneakers pairing isn’t always my favourite combination, but going sans tie helped Matt pull of this look.
