Ashley Madekwe Front Row @ London Fashion Week

Ashley Madekwe has been my fashion darling of London Fashion Week, hot on the strappy heels of Solange Knowles who took the crown for New York.

We’ve seen Ashley looking super slick and sexy at her first-ever Burberry Prorsum show; here is a look at the rest of her looks.

Topshop Unique: Quite the master of the high-low mix, the British actress kick-started her LFW adventure at the Topshop Unique show, where she wore a simple black top with an attention-grabbing forest-green Topshop sequin skirt styled with a Chanel shoulder bag and Charlotte Olympia sandals with a gold platform.

Matthew Williamson: Wearing a fuchsia shirt dress with a tweed wrap plaid skirt from the British designers Pre-Fall 2014 collection, she styled the look with her Burberry Brit leather jacket, that is working its way up my wish list, and her Chanel bag once again.

Whistles: Perhaps my favourite look from her this week (my mind keeps on changing) was her blush-pink strapless Whistles jumpsuit with a fitted bodice and loose-fit tapered pants. This elegant look was styled with Shamballa Jewels earrings and dusky-pink accessories. I love the dark-and-light-pink combo here. She has a keen eye for what works well together.

Which was your favourite look from Ashley?

It’s a Burberry-Whistles tie for me.

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2014 Womenswear Show

The Burberry Prorsum Fall 2014 fashion show took place during London Fashion Week this afternoon (February 17).

As we’ve come to expect, the hottest ticket in town attracted a lot of celebrity faces, some of whom also attended the menswear show last month. Bradley Cooper didn’t take to the red carpet, but you can see him seated next to Anna Wintour below.

Paloma Faith: After working a summery BDOTY-worthy look for the menswear show, Paloma was in a more Fall-like mood. Wearing pieces from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection including a London landscape printed tee and green jacquard pencil skirt, she wore the same maroon hat she wore for her last red carpet appearance, but it worked much better on this occasion when styled with a matching coat.

Naomie Harris: While the coat-and-open-toe-sandals fashion police may not favour this look, I have to say I’m loving the chic combo of the velvet devore coat with the chartreuse velvet sandal. Did I say love? Yes, LOVE.

Ashley Madekwe In Roksanda Ilincic - InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards Party

Ashley Madekwe added a bold splash of colour to the red carpet of the InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards post-party held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 12).

Opting for a geometric neon Roksanda Ilincic column dress, Ashley Madekwe made what could be a difficult dress, look so effortless and elegant.

A directional ear cuff, a bright yellow Alexander McQueen clutch, Saint Laurent stilettos sandals and swept back hair were all she needed to finish the look, and she did with ease.

The Golden Globes proved to be a night wear colour reigned, and Ashley was just one of the many stars who managed to pull of such a vibrant look.

I think it’s so refreshing to see such a stand-out dress make an appearance on the red carpet, but what do you think?

Ashley Madekwe In Monique Lhuillier - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Ashley Madekwe attended the Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala held at Skirball Cultural Center on Saturday (January 11) in Los Angeles, California alongside Camilla Belle, Jennifer Morrison and Kate Bosworth.

Looking as stunning as ever, the actress wore a Monique Lhuillier Resort 2014 black-and-white abstract-print strapless gown, keeping the styling simple with a grey clutch and dazzling earrings.

Considering its dramatic nature I love how effortless this look is.

Ashley Madekwe In Giorgio Armani - Audi Celebrates The 2014 Golden Globes Weekend

Ashley Madekwe joined Elisabeth Moss and Michelle Dockery for Audi’s celebration of the Golden Globes Weekend hosted at Cecconi’s Restaurant on Thursday (January 9) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress, who recently curated a new jewelry collection for BaubleBar, wore a Giorgio Armani Fall 2007 frock.

Her strapless dress features a PVC dominatrix-style bodice, which is countered by a sweet striped skirt with horizontal lines – which is often regarded as a no-no, but does nothing to dent the actress’s style credentials.

Metallic Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps, H. Stern jewels and a gold clutch accessorized her look, with a hot-red pout providing the finishing touches.

I love the way she simplified the runway look.
