2015 CFDA Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 CFDA Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

An additional chic set of lovelies were among the constellation of style stars at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards, hosted at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on Monday (June 1) in New York City.

Katie Holmes: I really wanted to love the actress’s one-of-a-kind Ralph Lauren Collection deep-green silk charmeuse evening dress accented with Ralph Lauren vintage jewels. Shame about the wrinkles in the dress and the long, barely-styled hair that hid the beautiful earrings.

Abigail Spencer: It was delightful to see such a bright, patterned Novis dress, where the bold colour continued with royal purple Malone Souliers Dawn Mules heels and a magenta lip. The end result was captivatingly fresh and charming, even if it appeared slightly less formal than some of the other entrances.

Gigi Hadid: This Michael Kors Resort 2016 glittery jumpsuit had a distinct Studio 54 vibe, but the model wore it so well, creating a chicly modern appeal with Michael Kors ‘Jacqueline’ sandals, a metallic Michael Kors clutch, and Atelier Swarovski jewels.

Ashley Judd In Badgley Mischka – 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Ashley Judd In Badgley Mischka - 2015 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Ashley Judd took a Spring-like turn on the red carpet of the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last night (April 25) at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.

The actress wore a lavender, watercolor-print Badgley Mischka gown with a sweetheart neckline and waistline ruching with silver ankle-strap pumps and clutch and a few well-placed jewels.

Radiant skin with sun-kissed cheeks, glossy lips and soft curls accented with a floral fascinator complete the fresh look.

I just cannot get on board with this fashion statement for this event. While the dress is gorgeous, it doesn’t quite fit with the occasion, and by taking the theme so far with the floral headpiece, Ashley has stepped squarely into a costumey place she just doesn’t need to be. At another event, this could have been divine, but it feels out of place at a political dinner.

Do you agree with me? Or do you love Ashley’s celebration of  Spring?

Ashley Judd In Badgley Mischka – ‘Insurgent’ New York Premiere

Ashley Judd In Badgley Mischka - 'Insurgent' New York Premiere

Ashley Judd joined Zoe Kravitz at the ‘Insurgent’ New York premiere, held at Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (March 16) in New York City.

The actress impressed wearing a Badgley Mischka Spring 2015 floral-printed, plunge gown.

Not only does the lilac colour do her plenty of justice, she wore the captivating confection to perfection with a matching mulberry lip and soft waves that reflected the draping and movement of the dress.

I love how just the smallest detail of the architectural, statement shoulder subtly referenced a darker, futuristic spirit. That artistic embellishment took this gown to another level, putting a powerful edge on all that prettiness.

Ashley Judd In Elie Saab – ‘Divergent’ LA Premiere

Ashley Judd In Elie Saab - ‘Divergent’ LA Premiere

Shailene Woodley wasn’t the only one wearing Elie Saab to the LA Premiere of ‘Divergent’ held at the Regency Bruin Theatre on Tuesday (March 18) in Los Angeles, California; Ashley Judd was too.

Going for the less sparkly approach, the actress wore a blue draped-sleeve gown with a deep V-neck from Elie Saab’s Spring 2013 collection.

Her blue drop earrings couldn’t have been a more perfect way to style this look, plus she added a Dana Rebecca Designs ‘Agnes Fortune’ bracelet.

A sweeping updo and red lip completed her movie star red carpet look.

She totally nailed this look from head to toe.

Ashley Judd In Carolina Herrera – 2012 Emmy Awards

Ashley Judd took to the red carpet at the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening with a rather comical hairdo.

Dressed in a custom Carolina Herrera raspberry halter gown with a fishtail hem, the bow detail at the back reminded me of Nicole Kidman’s Balenciaga gown at the 2007 Oscars.

Now that we’ve covered the dress, on to the hair.

Actually, I have no words. That over-poufed pompadour must be some kind of very bad joke, which would explain why she’s laughing in every picture.

Silver satin Sergio Rossi ‘Chloris’ Swarovski crystal-embellished sandals and Martin Katz jewels completed her look.

Are you laughing with her or at her?
