Menswear Red Carpet Roundup 26 august

There were plenty of fellas taking to the red carpet this week, spanning the globe from Brazil, London to Australia.

Armie Hammer: The handsome actor attended the premiere of his latest movie, ‘Man from U.N.C.L.E’ at the Cine Odeon in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Monday (August 24). Showcasing his sartorial style once again, the actor wore a blue Ermenegildo Zegna Made-to-Measure peak lapel suit which he of course styled with tan shoes.

Hugh Jackman: The Australian actor opted to tap into contemporary suiting with this all black look from fashion powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana. The look was worn while attending the press conference to announced the ‘Broadway to Oz’ press conference in Sydney, Australia on Monday (August 24).

Joel Edgerton: The actor joined his co-star Crystal Reed on the red carpet for ‘The Gift’ Sydney premiere on Monday (August 24) in Sydney, Australia. Like Crystal, the actor also opted for a rich maroon hue wearing a suit from Salvatore Ferragamo. While the vibe is semi-formal, he presents a sleek appearance.

Between premieres, parties and BAFTA tributes, there were a few good men who took to the red carpet this week.

Zac Efron: The first of two Zac Efron looks came at the London premiere of ‘We Are Your Friends’ alongside his gorgeous co-star Emily Ratajkowski. While she went glam in David Koma, he opted for a cool laidback look featutring a Lanvin bomber jacket injected with masculine charisma via the leather patches. I’m really thankfully he didn’t wear sneakers with this look.

Zayn Malik: Style wise Zayn is very much the man of the moment. He was looking as handsome as ever headed to Kylie Jenner’s birthday party in LA this week, wearing a Louis Vuitton camo bomber jacket paired with skinny jeans and simple tee to ensure the look stayed cool and stylish.

Armie Hammer: The actor wore a sharply tailored Thom Sweeney suit to the Toronto premiere of ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ alongside co-stars Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Debicki . With the polka dot shirt buttoned up the way it is, the look has me feeling like something is missing; namely, a tie.

Mens 11 august

Here is a quick look at some of the fellas attending premieres last night (August 10).

Armie Hammer: The actor styled his Tom Ford beige linen suit with a contrasting navy knit tie and tan shoes to the New York premiere of ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’. While I like the look, I think I would’ve liked the tie in a lighter hue.

Zayn Malik: Taking to the red carpet for the ‘Straight Outta Compton’ LA premiere, the former boybander showed off his tattoos wearing an Alexander McQueen ‘Truth’ motif shirt with slouchy jeans and Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers.

Henry Cavill: Joining Armie on the red carpet, the British actor continued his love affair with dunhill suits. His bespoke three piece peak lapel suit was styled with shades of yellow via his patterned tie and white paisley pocket square to attempt to add some summery flare to his look.

Even with two very well-tailored suits, Zayn is by far my favourite of this trio. I’m bowled over by his swag.

July menswear

Here’s a quick roundup of some of the fine gentlemen who hit the red carpet this week.

Jason Segal: I was in awe of how dapper Jason looked in his Etro navy suit while making a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (July 29).

Chris Hemsworth: The Australian actor joined his lovely wife Elsa Pataky on the red carpet on Monday (July 27) for the LA premiere of ‘Vacation’. Also going the navy suit and plum shoe route, the actor wore Prada, taking the formality out of the look by going sans tie. Such a shame about the ill-fitting trousers.

Jeremy Renner: The actor attended the New York premiere of ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’ on Monday (July 27) with Tom Cruise and Rebecca Ferguson. While this black Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit is quite a common look for Jeremy, I can’t help but marvel at the fine Italian craftsmanship.

With Comic-Con 2015 held last weekend in San Diego, California, plus the ‘Ant Man’ premiere across the country in New York, the guys were out in force for the events.

Henry Cavill
: Attending ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ Comic-Con panel on Saturday (July 11), the actor struck a casual-cool chord in a dunhill ensemble that riffed on nautical striping.

Armie Hammer: Taking the relaxed vibe even further, Armie joined Henry at the panel in an AllSaints ‘Ballast’ plaid shirt, gray denim, and boots for a handsome lumberjack effect.

Matt Bomer: Achieving the right balance between dressed-up and dressed-down, the actor ensured his polished Ermenegildo Zegna Couture navy suit still had a sporty, laidback edge at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con Party on Saturday (July 11) at FLOAT at The Hard Rock Hotel. For that reason, the unbuttoned white dress shirt and white sneakers worked on this occasion.

Before we close the week, here is a final look at the menswear options we have been blessed with courtesy of these fine gentlemen.

Michiel Huisman: ‘The Age of Adaline’ actor promoted his new movie on ‘Good Morning America’ the day after his co-star Blake Lively. Creating a splash in a much more muted manner, he donned a blue Salvatore Ferragamo look, which was utterly timeless and steeped in a suavity guaranteed to make me swoon. The look was complete with Lucchese Fico tan boots.

Michael B Jordan: The actor was looking as sharp as ever, going the extra mile by spicing up his look with a graphic print Public School blazer, while attending the 2015 CinemaCon ‘Pioneer of the Year’ dinner alongside Kate Mara. If this print is giving you a case of déjà vu, that’s because Hilary Duff owns a coat by the same designer with the same print.

Armie Hammer: Also going down the sleek Salvatore Ferragamo route for the CinemaCon 2015, the actor had an immaculately tailored moment working shades of grey with a hint of blue and brown for good measure. Shame about the beard though.
