The PEOPLE Magazine Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The PEOPLE Magazine Awards

Here is a roundup of the other attendees who took to the red carpet for the PEOPLE Magazine Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday (December 18) in Beverly Hills, California.

Jennifer Aniston: Still not able to fully break away from her favourite colour black, the actress collected her ‘Movie Performance of the Year’ award for ‘Horrible Bosses 2′ wearing a black and white fit-and-flare Fausto Puglisi Spring 2015 dress. The silhouette may be different, but why does everything feel the same?

Karlie Kloss: The catwalker took home the ‘Model of the Year’ award looking very beautiful and statuesque wearing a sexy Zac Posen bustier and laser-cut pony-skin Marchesa skirt styled with sexy Giuseppe Zanotti Design criss-cross strap sandals and a signature Marchesa clutch.

Kate Upton: The model picked up ‘PEOPLE’s Sexist Woman’ award wearing an all-black all-leather look, selecting a Tamara Mellon bodysuit and a Thomas Wylde ‘Topsy Turvy’ skirt styled with Brian Atwood satin ‘Besame’ pumps and a vintage corseted belt from The Way We Wore. While my mind boggles at how uncomfortable a leather bodysuit must be, this isn’t such a bad look for Kate.

Ariel Winter In Black Halo Eve – 2014 Emmy Awards

Ariel Winter In Black Halo Eve - 2014 Emmy Awards

Ariel Winter attended the 2014 Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Monday (August 25) in Los Angeles, California alongside the cast of her hit TV show, ‘Modern Family’.

Hitting several high notes when it came to style, youthfulness, and event-appropriateness, the actress wore a Black Halo Eve two-piece look featuring a black crop top and striped maxi skirt.

Ariel accessorized with Vita Fede jewels, Ferragamo heels and a pop of colour courtesy of her Swarovski ‘Nirvana Star’ red satin clutch.

I prefer this for Ariel over a big frothy gown any day.

2014 Young Hollywood Awards

2014 Young Hollywood Awards

There was a host of other young stars who joined Chloe Moretz on the red carpet for the 2014 Young Hollywood Awards held at The Wiltern on Sunday (July 27) in Los Angeles, California.

Belle Thorne: The Disney star opted for a head-to-toe all-pink look, wearing a ’60s-style mini dress accented with emerald crystals which she styled with platform pumps that also had a crystal accent to the heel. The only thing not blinging here was her Edie Parker clutch.

Vanessa Marano: The young star, who hosted the show, shunned the expected cutesy dress in favour of something more tailored, wearing a Skaist Taylor suit featuring a pink blazer with black peaked lapels. It takes a lot of great styling and finesse to pull off this look and to prevent it from coming off too mature, especially for someone so young. So going sans top and adding sexy Oscar Tiye sandals ensured this look was kept youthful.

Ashley Tisdale: The actress worked an all-silver look, donning a tulip-hem halter V Label London dress with metallic Casadei sandals and a matching clutch. Ashley’s style can often be très predictable, but the style of dress here, especially the length, is a refreshing change, edging her in a more grown-up direction.

Ariel Winter In Parker – ‘Mr. Peabody & Sherman’ LA Premiere

Ariel Winter In Parker - 'Mr Peabody & Sherman' LA Premiere

Ariel Winter attended the premiere of ‘Mr. Peabody & Sherman’ held at the Regency Village Theatre on Wednesday (March 5) in Westwood, California joining Leslie Mann and Lake Bell.

The young star opted to add two pops of pink via her lips and Shoemint pumps while wearing a Parker ‘Ebony’ fit-and-flare textured optic-print dress featuring topstitched panels and fashioned with cutaway shoulders.

It feels like Ariel is slowing opting for a more grown-up look, ditching the uber-girlie frocks she was once known for. While I really like the dress, especially the sporty vibe, it’s the shoes which keep me interested in the overall look.

Ariel Winter In Glamorous – ‘Mr Peabody & Sherman’ Sydney Premiere

Ariel Winter In Glamorous - 'Mr Peabody & Sherman' Sydney Premiere

Breaking away from the red carpet gowns we’ve grown to love from this young starlet, Ariel Winter added another string to her bow this weekend at the Sydney premiere of ‘Mr Peabody & Sherman’.

Wearing a feather print shift dress with white collar detailing by Glamorous, the look was altogether more young and creative for Ariel.

With her hair and make-up adding polish, Ariel finished with some killer ShoeMint ‘Marcell’ leather sandals which really notched the look up several gears.

I’ve enjoyed seeing her red carpet gown choices but it’s great to see her try something more modern and fresh and see some more of personal style shine through. And now that we’ve seen her trial print, don’t you think something by Miu Miu or Carven would be great on the actress?

‘Modern Family’ Sydney Photocall

'Modern Family' Sydney Photocall

Sarah Hyland was joined by her ‘Modern Family’ co-stars for the photocall held at The Sebel on Thursday (February 20) in Sydney, Australia, where the cast are filming their Australian vacation episode.

It appears that Sarah, who wore white, didn’t get the ‘wear all black’ memo.

Ariel Winter: The young starlet was looking very grown up in her Bec & Bridge one-sleeve frock with a side slit. I’m usually more impressed with her red carpet looks. Aside from the side slit, not a lot is going on here.

Sofia Vergara: Also going the LBD route, the actress wore a Herve Leger dress with scalloped edges. While this is a simple black dress I can get on board with, I can’t say the same for her shimmering accessories, which somewhat cheapen the look.

Julie Bowen: Rounding out a trio of black frocks, Julie’s not-so-little black dress featured a voluminous skirt which feels like its weighing down the dress. Once again, this is a no from me.

Each of these looks had potential and with the right accessories each would’ve been much improved.

Does anyone stand out for you here?
