Anya Taylor-Joy In Elie Saab – Empire Awards 2018

It may have snowed in London this weekend, but Anya Taylor-Joy didn’t let that divert her summery choice for the Empire Awards on Sunday (March 18), where she joined Daisy Ridley.

I love how her fair skin created the perfect canvas for her shimmering mint-hued Elie Saab Spring 2018 gown.

It’s clear her skin tone was taken into consideration when selecting this colour, as she looks radiant here.

Even though I prefer the emerald, midnight-blue and green tones in the look book, it may have translated as too heavy for Anya.

Front Row @ Burberry Fall 2018

None were eager to miss the Burberry Fall 2018 show on Saturday (February 17) as part of London Fashion Week, judging by a front row that was overflowing with fans of the iconic British label.

Sienna Miller:
If you thought you knew Burberry plaid, you might be challenged to think again given the actress’s fearless combo of the checquered patterns that maintained her free-spirited, boho style.

Keira Knightley: I will have to admit to not recognizing Keira at first. This play on proportions, between the boxy jacket and the frilly skirt, left a lot to be desired when it came to its figure-flattering qualities.

Zendaya Coleman:
Even when covered up in an oversized check coat, somehow Z still commands this look—and leaves me wanting to see the brashly bold, graphic ensemble beneath it all the more.

2018 BAFTA Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Black gowns dominated the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, but the red carpet was by no means boring with celebrities showing their support for the Time’s Up movement in a wide array of striking looks.

Letitia Wright: Showing a darker side of Gucci, the ‘Black Panther’ actress, who was one of the presenters on the night, looks charming in a belted dress. The bug-like embroidery perks up the black velvet base. Some have remarked how the brands looks sometimes suffer from too many details, but this one has the balance right.

Sally Hawkins: The Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee for ‘The Shape of Water’, shone in a Ralph & Russo gown. This is a more sensual look for her with the slashes in the bodice revealing a coquettish hint of skin. I wish she played into the theme more with romantic wavy hair.

Anya Taylor-Joy: Last year’s Rising Star Award nominee embraced the sexy glamour of Dolce & Gabbana in a black lace dress and golden crown. I can already hear the chants of people wishing the skirt was lined, and I must agree.

Anya Taylor-Joy In Dolce & Gabbana – EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party

Anya Taylor-Joy enchanted at the EE British Academy Film Awards nominees party on Saturday (February 17) in London, England where she joined Natalie Dormer.

I’m sure that there will be many Madonna comparisons given the flirty nature of her Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2018 tulle dress.

I was so pleased that the BAFTA presenter added more layers to the skirt and opted for coordinating undergarments, as opposed to the black pants seen on the runway, as it allows the alluring boning on the corset and frothy layers of tulle to be further appreciated.

Of course, I think the ensemble would have been most successful had there not been any visible underwear at all as some might perceive it as a mistake.

She enhanced the whimsical quality of the look with an embellished crown and Malone Souliers ‘Maureen’ shoes.

Anya Taylor-Joy In Gucci – Newport Beach Film Festival Annual UK Honours

Anya Taylor-Joy made a dramatic statement at the Newport Beach Film Festival Annual UK Honours on Thursday (February 15) in London, England.

The actress ensured all eyes were on her in a sweeping Gucci Resort 2018 dress.

Given the modifications, I wouldn’t be surprised if some mistake the new look for Chanel.

She opted for the black and white above-the-ankle style dress over the billowing pink and purple maxi dress we saw on the runway.

It still presents a whimsical charm with the black bows while the full cape sleeves provide drama.

It was a successful turn, but I am still intrigued to see how she would have carried off the original.  The actress doesn’t shy away from bold gowns, and she has worn Gucci to much success in the past.

Which version do you prefer?

ALINKA jewels completed her look.

Anya Taylor-Joy In Dolce & Gabbana – 61st BFI London Film Festival Awards

Moments of unquestionable glamour always captivate me on the red carpet.

And, that is exactly what Anya Taylor-Joy delivered, in spades, as she joined Hayley Atwell for the 61st BFI London Film Festival Awards on Saturday (October 14).

Glittering from top to toe, she stunned in a Dolce & Gabbana gown that was simple in silhouette, but oh-so-dramatic in effect.

I was entranced by the flared skirt that formed a moderate train behind her—and how the light scintillated against the sea of nearly holographic sequins.

Allowing the sequins to speak for themselves, she finished the look with the alluring side sweep of old-Hollywood waves and minimal jewels.
