‘Bold & Fearless’ Santos de Cartier Watch Launch Red Carpet Roundup

The ‘Bold & Fearless’ Santos de Cartier watch launch event on Thursday (April 5) in San Francisco, California brought out many celebrities. They joined Lily CollinsSienna Miller and Chloe Sevigny.

Sofia Boutella: The Algerian stunner brought to mind decades gone by in a Prada gown. I’m sure there will be many Marilyn Monroe comparisons given her blonde bob, red lipstick and the halter style. The look was still unique as it had a whimsical finish with the draped embellishment around the waist marrying with the down-to-there neckline.

Dave Franco: The actor uplifted a sleek black suit with a fiery printed button-down. With the shirt done up to the neck, it presented a crisp finish, making a tie unnecessary.

Freida Pinto: The actress opted for statement texture rather than surface embellishment in a Roland Mouret gown accented with a Gucci belt. It’s a look that one wants to see up close and far away. The open draped sides reveal a hint of skin, creating an alluring finish and helping to shed the tweed fabric’s suiting reputation. Salvatore Ferragamo shoes completed her look.

‘Le Bal Surrealiste’ Dior

The Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture show featured an imaginative surrealist mood, and I can only imagine that continued in force at Le Bal Surrealiste Dior that was hosted afterwards on Monday (January 22) during Paris Fashion Week with Dior’s constant fans dressed to impress in the label.

Bella Hadid: Black has been Bella’s Paris Fashion Week colour, and this sheer frock continued that trend whilst working right in line with Bella’s provocative style. I like the romantic, off-the-shoulder silhouetted and embellishment, which I feel brings a bit more composure to the see-through look. A ‘Lady Dior’ quilted bag and Dior shoes completed the picture, with a sculptural hairstyle to play to the party theme.

Gemma Arterton: Gemma balanced her sleek ’do and power red lip with the girlish sophistication of this sparkling, tea-length dress that was ladylike in silhouette yet dazzling in sequin embellishment.

Annabelle Wallis: It looks as if the fashion house’s logo briefs are back in action with this sheer corset gown. I was grateful for the chic moto jacket to bring some edge to the sultry, borrowed-from-the-boudoir look.

Front Row @ Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture

A couple of days after the Dior Homme show, more Dior-clad darlings descended on the Rodin Museum for the fashion house’s runway show, the first big one of Paris haute couture week on Monday (January 22).

Emily Blunt: Sleekly elegant styling was the only way to go for this ornately printed Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2018 frock, and Emily complied.

Annabelle Wallis: Statement shirts continue to be a relevant trend, and Annabelle’s fit the bill. I like how she styled it with the graphic jacket (which coincidentally reflected the show’s checquerboard set), high-waist, cropped trousers, and hat for a slice of Parisian rebel-chic.

Willow Smith: Perhaps taking a cue from the surrealist mood of the show in her white eye makeup, Willow offered a more girly perspective than we would expect from her urban-cool style in this sheer tulle gown juxtaposed with a tuxedo vest.

Who Wore Stella McCartney Better? Annabelle Wallis or Katy Perry?

I remember my immediate reaction to Annabelle Wallis in this Stella McCartney Spring 2018 dress was, “why did she belt it?”

Well, my question was answered when Katy Perry wore the same dress this week to the designers Autumn 2018 collection launch, and the answer is, “because otherwise you’ll look like you’re expecting quintuplets”.

If I was Annabelle and her stylist, I would be saying “I told you so” right about now.

Without question, Annabelle wins for me.

Annabelle Wallis In Stella McCartney – The Fashion Awards 2017

Following the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards, Annabelle Wallis was back on the red carpet for The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London.

You can’t help but be entranced by shape, colour and design of this Stella McCartney Spring 2018 dress which marries fashion forward sensibilities, with sensual femininity.

So I found myself a bit disappointed that Annabelle opted to temper the silhouette with waist tie.

We all know Annabelle does glamour like no other, so it would’ve interesting to see her try something new.

Thoughts?

London Evening Standard Theatre Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Many more stars were in attendance at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards were held on Sunday (December 3) in London, England, where all modes of elegance reigned supreme.

Annabelle Wallis: She was the very picture of modern glamour in this Stella McCartney black lace gown. I love how the perfect plunge neckline and semi-sheer, layered effect gave this dress a sultry yet sophisticated finish—juxtaposed with the classic elegance of old-Hollywood waves and a red lip.

Ophelia Lovibond: Not content to let her look go fully the way of monochromatic minimalism, Olivia enlivened this Emporio Armani Fall 2017 halter dress with a bright-pink clutch. It was unexpected, but gave the look its own unique flair.

Sonia Rykiel Dinner Party

Julie de Libran, creative director of Sonia Rykiel, hosted an intimate dinner party at the Chateau Marmont in LA on Thursday (November 9), where friends of the French label gathered to celebrate the latest collection created exclusively for the 2018 awards season.

Kirsten Dunst: The richness of midnight-navy really came to fruition in this Sonia Rykiel tonally patterned frock that met in the perfect middle of femininity and edge with her girly, berry-stained lip and tough-chic footwear.

Sofia Boutella: Speaking of edginess, there was no one flaunting it better than Sofia in this sultry-cool twist on menswear. I love how the hardware on this Sonia Rykiel suit really added so much distinct flair to the tailored pieces, with her accessories and bold lip fitting right in.

Annabelle Wallis: The silky allure of this flowy Sonia Rykiel gown was undeniable, with its cloud-blue hue and the open-back detailing adding even more impact to the equation.
