Red Carpet Fashion Awards

When you think of Wimbledon you think of strawberries and cream, manicured green lawns and players wearing summer whites.

Now you can add Anna Wintour to that list, because she’s becoming quite a regular at the Wimbledon Championships.

She was of course there to cheer on Roger Federer who unfortunately crashed out of the competition yesterday.

She looked lovely wearing a Carolina Herrera Resort 2011 dress.

The dress – which was made of different fabric from the models gown – was of course fitted to her usual cap sleeved style.

I just love the multi-coloured fan prints and I adore her necklace once again.

As much as I prefer full length pics, it’s easy to guess both the length of her dress and the type of kitten heels she was wearing.

With Federer out, what will Ms Wintour do until Haute Couture Fashion Week starts on Monday?

Wish You’d Worn The Gown Award
When Anna Wintour at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards wearing the floral print from one of my favourite looks from Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2010 collection, I instantly wished she’d worn the gown.

We often see Anna wearing pencil dresses at this length with kitten heels, but I would’ve been blown away had she worn the gown.

Trademark sunglasses complete her look.

We were mostly attracted to floral prints this week when picking our winners for BDOTW.

You were still head-over-heels in love with Sarah Jessica Parker’s Vivienne Westwood Fall 2010 floral dress, whilst I was blown away by Anna Wintour’s Erdem Spring 2010 floral dress.

Both stood out at their events.

One for possessing a cute girlie charm we all fell in love with years ago, and the other for possessing classic sophistication in a modern fresh look.

Anna Wintour was seen walking the red carpet “Fresh Air Fund ‘Salute To American Heroes’” in New York last night.

The editor-in-chief of American Vogue was flying the British flag for London based designer Erdem last night by wearing a dress from his Spring 2010 collection.

This has to be one my favourite ever Anna looks.

Ms Wintour looked super stylist pairing her vibrant colourful floral embroidered dress with her favourite nude kitten heels and a gorgeous glass beaded necklace which is the perfect finishing touch.

Definitely a BDOTW contender for me.

LOVE, Love, love this necklace.

Veronica Webb looked spectacular wearing a dusky pink Rachel Roy Spring 2010 long sleeved dress with an asymmetrical hemline.

Long necklaces, a pink studded clutch and grey Manolo Blahnik heels designed by Rachel Roy completed her look.

Rachel Roy was also there to show how fabulous she can look on the red carpet.

She also wore her Manolo Blahnik heels with an aqua wrap dress from her Spring 2010 collection.

A black clutch and a stunning gold necklace completed her look.

Miuccia Prada’s biggest fan Anna Wintour stepped out wearing the same red velvet Prada Fall 2009 dress we’ve seen on Jessica Alba.

Michelle Harper struck a serious pose wearing a Zac Posen Fall 2009 dress, which she strangely paired with Trib Two’s.

I’m not liking the length of her dress, but then Lily is freakishly tall.

Ashley Greene continues to give us fabulousity by wearing a gorgeous black D&G ensemble which includes a sheer tank and black ruched skirt with embroidery detail.

She’s having a fabulous week.

I know a lot of you love Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, but at times like this I wonder what all the fuss is about.

The only thing worth drooling over are Ashley’s canary yellow Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps.

Rose Byrne opted for a sheer dress which had a sequin skirt and a criss cross sequin detail on the bodice.

When I first learnt of this event I was really excited to see some great red carpet action, then I saw Lindsay Lohan.

We’ll have to wait until the Ungaro Spring 2010 show on Sunday, but her black lace panel jumpsuit and sequined wrap could very well be a preview of her new collection.

Lindsay looks very happy here, but I wonder how happy she will be when she learns that many buyers have declined their invitations to the Ungaro show due to her participation.

It may not be the sisterly thing to do, but it’s the right thing to do.

Carine Roitfeld wore the same vintage YSL dress, black blazer and Alaia heels she wore to the Burberry Spring 2010 presentation.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld wore the same white Alexander Wang Spring 2009 white jersey dress we have seen on her many times before.

And Anna Wintour wore that snake-skin coat we have seen on her a few times recently.

So what I thought was going to be a great event, turned into a complete wash out.

Brown Freshman Emma Watson traveled from Rhode Island to London for the Burberry Spring 2010 presentation during London Fashion Week.

Burberry’s Fall 2009 campaign girl traded her air miles for a custom-made Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 golden dress.

Emma’s gold foil short sleeve front zip dress was paired with a black braided belt and black Burberry platforms.

Her hair was styled in a loose updo to complete her front row superstar look.

Despite only appearing in one movie Freida Pinto sealed her superstar status by not only being front row at the Burberry Spring 2010 presentation last night, but she also wore a dress from the presentation before it had hit the runway.

I adore this soft yellow twisted dress on her, as she is truly glowing.

She opted for a purple studded Burberry clutch and Rupert Sanderson Aspasia fuchsia leopard patent heels to complete her look.

Very interesting coloured accessories for her yellow dress.

Gwyneth Paltrow also opted for a twisted piece from the Spring 2010 collection.

Unfortunately her skirt/t-shirt/chunky boots combo doesn’t quite work for me.

Alexa Chung wore a classic Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2009 trench coat over her LBD.

Ankle boots as standard.

With her trademark Chanel sunglasses in check, Anna Wintour arrived at the presentation wearing a gold and bronzed Oscar de la Renta Fall 2009 dress, with bronze strappy kitten heel sandals.

How very chic Ms. Wintour.

Proving that she truly is the best ambassador for her brand, Victoria Beckham arrived in a black dress from her own Spring 2010 collection.

I’m grateful for this new silhouette, but I must ask how many Trib Two’s does Victoria own?

Lee Na Young wore the same Burberry Prorsum Fall 2009 gold floral dress/black coat combo Melissa George wore recently, which is leading me to believe that maybe if you buy the dress, you get the coat free.

Mary-Kate Olsen I believe traveled to London especially for this presentation.

The actress wore a black tulle dress under a black coat with black beetle bug brooch decorating her coat.

She accessorized with black suede Burberry wedge heels, dark sunglasses and an orange beaded bag.

Carine Roitfeld opted for an all black look which included a peaked shouldered blazer and a YSL vintage dress by Tom Ford.

As did Liv Tyler, who toughen up her look with Burberry Prorsum cut-out leather sandals.
