Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Anna Wintour co-hosted the Barack Obama fundraiser with Gwyneth Paltrow at Mark’s Club in London yesterday evening, which was also attended by Cameron Diaz.

The editor-in-chief of American Vogue, like Gwyneth, also wore a Tom Ford dress.

Her Fall 2011 long-sleeved brown dress with floral embroidery and a pleated skirt was styled with her two favourite accessories; Manolo Blahnik kitten heels and her beaded antique Georgian collet necklace.

Having a case of the déjà vu?

You should do, because Anna wore this same dress and accessories to the Versace Étoile De La Mer sunglasses collection launch party in Paris back in January.

Last week ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy revealed that Sarah Jessica Parker will guest star in a few episodes of the hit series next season.

She will be joining the cast as an online editor of US Vogue and mentor to Kurt Hummel played by Chris Colfer.

Yesterday the blogs were abuzz that Anna Wintour will be hand-picking SJP’s wardrobe for the series, so I was super excited that things appear to already be in the works as Anna and Sarah were spotted lunching at Balthazar in Soho, New York, yesterday afternoon.

Anna was in full editor-in-chief mode wearing a Carolina Herrera Fall 2012 abstract-print cap-sleeved dress with a hot flash of pink.

With her signature accessories – Manolos, beaded necklace and shades – Anna added a cream belt to her dress when the black runway belt is much preferred.

SJP opted for a very laidback look which included a black Steven Alan ‘Tristan’ pleated silk v-Back dress with her bra straps visible at the back, black shades, sparkling Jimmy Choo ‘Walker’ flats and a Roger Vivier ‘Prismick’ mini python shoulder bag with a gold chain and ‘RV’ accent.

The inclusion of SJP on ‘Glee’ is just the tonic I needed to get me watching the show again.

Avid tennis fan Anna Wintour attended the Wimbledon men’s singles final between Roger Federer and Andy Murray on a rainy Sunday afternoon in London.

My friend just asked me if Anna would’ve been torn between her friendship and admiration for Roger Federer and her support of fellow Brit Andy Murray.

Whilst I’m sure they both had her support, I think Roger would’ve had the edge considering Anna attends a lot of Roger’s matches; plus she’s even featured the tennis champ in American Vogue.

Before taking her seat in the Royal Box with the Beckhams, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Pippa Middleton, she was spotted heading to the match with her partner John Shelby Bryan wearing a Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 coat.

The summery orange printed trench coat, with modified sleeves, was styled with a Louis Vuitton bag and her favourite Manolo Blahnik kitten heels.

I’m sure Anna has more than one pair of these shoes.

Well, at least I hope she does.

Celebrities, editors, designers and even royalty were seated in the front row of the Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture presentation held in Paris, France, this afternoon.

Mélanie Laurent: The French actress was my favourite from all the attendees at this event. I’m most in love with the printed bell-shaped tiered skirt which she styled with the same satin blush sleeveless top from the runway. I’m not missing the necklace, but I would’ve preferred it had she tied back her beachy wavy locks.

Princess Charlene of Monaco: Dressed in head-to-toe pink Dior, the Princess looked uber chic even though I wish she opted for a belt.

Anna Dello Russo: The editor-at-large for Vogue Nippon has always been fearless when it comes to fashion, but I’ve never seen her show off so much skin. Dressed in a hot-pink Fausto Puglisi Spring 2012 dress with cut-out details and an elaborate gold-embroidered detail, the look is styled with all pink accessories including a Valentino clutch and YSL shoes. It would not be a true fashion awards show without an Anna Wintour sighting.

The Editor-In Chief of American Vogue attended the 2012 CFDA Fashions Awards in New York City on Monday night wearing a Marc Jacobs dress – as she did last year – from the Resort 2013 collection.

While the collection debuted just yesterday, Anna had first dibs on the brightly coloured collection; adjusting her chosen floral dress into one of her beloved sheaths.

The sparkling floral print is a festive spin on Anna’s signature look, but in the styling department, it was business as usual.

Flawless bob? Check. Sunnies at night? Check. Favourite Manolo Blanhik heels? Check. Beaded necklace? Check.

Anna certainly has her signature style, and she is sticking to it.

I love the addition of the maroon belt and the beige croc clutch which is as rare as seeing Jessica Chastain carrying a clutch.

As host of the ‘Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations’ Costume Institute Gala, held in New York this evening, Anna Wintour was the first to arrive on the red carpet with her daughter, Bee Shaffer.

Anna surprisingly didn’t wear Chanel this year; instead she opted for a Prada custom-made gown with a gold lobster motif.

Wearing her favourite beaded necklace, and Manolo Blahnik kitten heels, no doubt, the Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue completed her look with a white fur cape.

Bee, who always wears a dramatic gown for this event, didn’t let us down by looking equally beautiful wearing an Erdem Fall 2012 gown.

The blue, black and white gown with embroidered lace had a V-necked line and a beautiful train.

Bee lets her beauty shine through with minimal makeup and stunning chandelier earrings.

What a great way to kick-start proceedings.
