Anna Wintour Loves….Her Prada Spring 2013 Coat

Anna Wintour Loves Her Prada Coat

Back in October, not long after the Prada Spring 2013 presentation, Anna Wintour was already wearing a coat from the very same collection.

Several months on and the Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue cannot be parted from her mink floral-appliqué coat – in fact, she loves the coat so much she also owns it in three colours; black, green and navy.

For most of the sightings, the coat it has been paired with a floral-print or appliquéd Prada dress, but on Monday you could’ve knocked me down with a feather when she arrived at the Saint Laurent Fall 2013 show wearing tights – a first I think – with her Prada coat and Prada floral print dress.

Unlike fellow Prada lovers Anna Dello Russo and Elle Fanning, Anna isn’t ready to commit to wearing those hideous platform shoes from the same collection.

Now I’m wondering which piece from Prada’s Fall 2013 collection will become Anna’s can’t-live-without piece over the next 6 months.

My guess is Look 17.

Anna Wintour In Calvin Klein – ‘In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye’ Screening

Anna Wintour attended HBO’s ‘In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye’ screening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City yesterday evening.

The editor-in-chief of American Vogue wore a custom Calvin Klein dress designed by Francisco Costa.

This geranium-coloured cashmere sleeveless shift dress with a flared skirt is very much a signature look for Ms Wintour.

What is shocking here is that she’s not wearing her Manolo Blahnik kitten heels. Yes, it is winter, but I was beginning to think those heels were super-glued to her feet.

Her favourite beaded necklace and signature bob come as no surprise, however.

Anna Wintour In Rochas – LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala

Anna Wintour was the party pooper at the LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala honouring Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick on Saturday evening in LA.

That’s because she opted not to follow the dress code, but this is nothing new.

The editor-in-chief of American Vogue, as always, made her own rules by wearing a Rochas Spring 2013 dress.

I adore this fiery red print, which is more suited to fall than spring, don’t you think?

Anna’s sleeveless dress with a gathered detail on the waist was perfectly in tune with her signature style, but I adore the strapless runway version and hope to see it on a red carpet too.

Deciding not to change a habit of a lifetime, she wore her favourite Manolo Blahnik kitten heels and her beaded neckline.

The only thing surprising here is the addition of a clutch, as she has a worse phobia of clutches than Jessica Chastain.

Anna Wintour In Christian Dior – WSJ Magazine’s ‘Innovator of the Year’ Awards

It was a busy Thursday night for Anna Wintour as she attended both the WSJ Magazine’s ‘Innovator of the Year’ Awards and Bergdorf Goodman’s 111th Anniversary celebrations in New York City.

The editor-in-chief of American Vogue becomes the second person, after Marion Cotillard, to wear a look from the Christian Dior Spring 2013 collection.

As someone who wasn’t too enamoured by this collection, on the one hand I’m grateful to see her wearing one of the few pieces I actually liked, but on the other hand that leaves one less of my few favourites to hit the red carpet.

Anna’s dress with a black top and iridescent nude, gold and yellow floral-print skirt was of course styled with those nude Manolo Blahnik kitten heels.

That’s three looks this week and one pair of shoes.

Anna needs a shoe intervention….soonish.

Anna Wintour In Prada – Mario Testino Exhibit

Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles were at the Museum Of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts, yesterday evening for the Mario Testino Exhibit preview.

The editor-in-chief of American Vogue was all smiles wearing the first look, not surprisingly, from the Prada Spring 2013 collection.

She teamed a pale pink satin dress with a black panel adorned with two floral tributes, with white daisy appliqué black crushed velvet coat.

Sadly she wasn’t adventurous enough to wear the complete look including the runway heels, instead sticking, maybe literally, to her favoured Manolo Blahnik kitten heels.
