Who Wore Reem Acra Better? Emma Roberts or Anna Kendrick

Back in March, Emma Roberts attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party wearing a royal blue Reem Acra Resort 2010 dress.

She added a beautiful statement necklace, bronze peep-toes and a Chanel clutch to complete her look.

Anna Kendrick opted for a more minimalist look when she wore the turquoise version of this Reem Acra dress to Elle’s 17th Annual Women In Hollywood Tribute in LA last month.

She let the dress do all the talking by simply adding Sergio Rossi pumps.

Emma wins for me as I love her necklace, I prefer her hair is style better and I adore the royal blue against her skin-tone, whereas Anna’s dress washes her out slightly.

17th Annual ELLE Women In Hollywood Tribute Event – Anna Kendrick In Reem Acra

My eyes immediately went to Anna Kendrick’s Sergio Rossi heels when she walked the red carpet at the 17th Annual ELLE Women In Hollywood Tribute Event.

I feel like I’m typing the same thing everyday now, but why can’t celebs get shoes right on the red carpet when they have a huge amount of styles and brands on offer?

I don’t like the colour and I dislike how heavy they feel with her turquoise Reem Acra Resort 2010 strapless dress.

Her beautiful deep V cocktail dress with tulle detailing at the bust was shortened from the runway to give the dress a more youthful vibe.

Anna and Kate Hudson may have used the same hairstylist, because Anna’s hair is equally lackluster, but her make-up is beautiful.

The wow factor was considerably lacking at this event which I find very surprising considering who attended.

“Scott Pilgrim vs The World” London Premiere – Anna Kendrick In Elise Øverland

We’ve seen a lot of grown up glamour from the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts over the past few days.

So I was relying on Anna Kendrick to inject some youthful fun onto the red carpet at the “Scott Pilgrim vs The World” London Premiere tonight.

The “Twilight” actress wore a black off-the-shoulder Elise Øverland Spring 2010 dress.

It’s not quite what I was hoping for, but I don’t hate the look.

What saves her black pleated dress with sheer panels down the sides is her Jimmy Choo ‘Darcy’ sandals.

I noticed her striking metallic pony caged sandals before her dress.

A black croc clutch and a sophisticated updo completes the look.

“Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World” Dublin Premiere – Anna Kendrick In Juicy Couture

It wasn’t only Angelina Jolie who was promoting her new movie overseas last night, Anna Kendrick was too.

Fans waited patiently in the rain to catch a glimpse of the “Twilight” star who was joined by Jason Schwartzman, Michael Cera and Edgar Wright on the red carpet at Dublin’s Cineworld for the Irish premiere of “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World”.

Anna wore a black mini skirt paired with a Juicy Couture polka dot blouse, a cropped leather jacket and black strappy sandals.

This look works for a low-key premiere or a TV appearance, but it has me worried for tomorrow’s London Premiere.

Stars have recently started dressing down in London until Jolie last night.

I understand that Anna is surrounded by guys who happily walk the red carpet in jeans and tees, but I hope she dazzles tomorrow night.

BlackBerry Torch Launch Party – Anna Kendrick In Alice + Olivia

It’s not often we see Anna Kendrick in black, but she’s been trying to add some attitude to her looks recently.

I think after living in fairytale gowns during Awards Season, she’s deliberately opting for shorter sassy styles.

That was definitely the case that the “BlackBerry Torch Launch Party” last night.

Her Alice + Olivia LBD with leather shoulder pads was quite sheer because it exposed to her black bra.

I can’t say I’m excited about this look.

Some statement accessories would’ve made this look more interesting.

“Scott Pilgrim vs The World” Toronto Premiere – Anna Kendrick In Marc Jacobs

This weekend Anna Kendrick was in Toronto, Canada for the Premiere of her latest flick, “Scott Pilgrim vs The World”.

I was hoping we wouldn’t have to wait too long to see a look from Marc Jacobs Resort 2011 collection, and here we have our first look.

Anna’s eggplant cap sleeve slightly off-the-shoulder dress with a tiered skirt is decorated with plastic polka dots.

I would say it’s modified, but since the dresses differ so greatly, it would be proper to say that the dress was simply from the same collection but was edited out of the 38 pieces on

Sparkling Jimmy Choo’s and an elegant updo complete the look.

I love the dress. Anna picked the right look to suit her style and personality.

The other dress may have been to matronly on her because of the length and her height.

The only thing I’m missing is some lip colour.
