Anna Dello Russo In Chanel - Bulgari Cocktail Event

Anna Dello Russo attended the Bulgari cocktail event held at Apicius during Couture Fashion Week on Tuesday (July 8) in Paris, France.

The editor-at-large wore a Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 red, white and blue dress featuring a tiered raw-edged skirt.

As per, she overcooked it with the accessories; the Fendi bag gets a pass, but the shoes are perhaps a tad OTT for this look.

You may remember that Alicia Vikander wore this same frock to the BAFTAs.

Anna Dello Russo Front Row @ Milan Fashion Week Mens Spring 2015

Anna Dello Russo was front and centre during Milan Menswear Fashion Week Spring 2015 this past week, where the ‘Vogue’ Japan editrix was on her standard stylista behaviour, which is to say that she grabbed stares in a few rounds of flashy and splashy statements, whilst marching to the beat of her own fashion drum. Just another day on the front row for Anna.

Versace Show: ADR jump-started the collections on a shiny note, wearing a sequinned Ashish Spring 2014 colourfully striped mini-dress with Sophia Webster’s strikingly graphic ‘Riko’ sandals and a happy-face clutch. Did one of her first looks of men’s fashion week have you smiling?

Iceberg Show: Continuing the leggy theme, she sauntered out an Anthony Vaccarello Spring 2014 navy-blue, barely-there dress—a rather ironic choice for the Iceberg show. The frock featured the designer’s signature cutouts and sexy appeal, along with the spring collection’s triangular-shaped hem and cabochon buttons. Black booties and a gold Saint Laurent bag were mere afterthoughts to the pieced-together, skin-is-in dress.

Missoni Show: Switching from her Anthony Vaccarello edge to something a bit more sweet, she wore a Nina Ricci Spring 2014 flowery pastel dress, popped with a bolt of colour complements of Sophia Webster’s bold ‘Chiara’ butterfly sandals. A whimsical Yang Du clutch completed the look that actually wasn’t so innocent, given the see-through status of the dress that had her undies peeking through.

Anna Dello Russo Milan Fashion Week

A front row just wouldn’t be complete without Anna Dello Russo. And over the final days at Milan Fashion Week, she didn’t disappoint our expectations in an array of colourful, tactile, embellished and printed pieces.

Gucci Fall 2014: Wearing the same Saint Laurent Spring 2014 white one-shoulder lip embellished top and black cigarette pants that Hailee Steinfeld wore late last year, Anna channelled the 80s front row at the Gucci fall 2104 show by layering her pants over a pair of kitten heel ankle boots and accessorising with a mini metallic duffle bag. I find the single long glove an odd addition, but then this is Anna Dello Russo, and I much prefer the look styled with patent courts as it was on the runway.

Aquilano Rimondi: Channelling Spring’s global traveller trend, Anna wore an intricately and heavily beaded Emilio Pucci Spring 2014 dress to the Aquilano Rimondi Fall 2014 show. In true Anna Dello Russo style, she teamed one of her signature wide leather waist belts over the dress and added a pop of colour with a turquoise BVLGARI bag. While this is quite colourful and not your average day-look, the dress is actually quite stunning and the shoes are exotically wonderful. I think the belt is unnecessary but overall this is one of her more restrained and carefully thought-out looks.

Dolce & Gabbana: A high-shine red Dolce & Gabbana dress with Roman gold coin belt ensured Anna Dello Russo was one of the stand-out guests on the front row of the aforementioned designer’s Fall 2014 show. With ruche detailing and billowing round shoulders, this was certainly a statement-making dress that only someone with Anna’s long, lean figure could wear but it still isn’t the most flattering on Anna. The colour does however complement her deep tan and I love the fact she went for a mini bag – clearly a new favourite shape for Anna.

Marni Fall 2014: After dipping into the 80s and tribal trends, Anna pulled out all the stops for the Marni Fall 2014 show in a stand-out sports luxe look. Wearing a magnificent embellished bomber and matching pencil skirt from the Marni Spring 2014 collection, Anna teamed with chunky black zip-front ankle boots. I loved this look on the catwalk but styled with a slogan cap just makes it look slightly ridiculous. The turquoise BVLGARI bag also jars with the sportiness of the rest of the look, so altogether this is not a great look from Anna.

Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2014 Front Row

Just like the understated luxury seen on the runway, the front row at Salvatore Ferragamo’s Fall 2014 show was suitably elegant and star-studded and helped bring Milan Fashion Week to a close in true Italian style.

Hilary Swank: Hollywood mega-star Hilary Swank brought the star power to the Italian powerhouse’s front row. Wearing a beautiful Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2014 cream satin pleated dress with belt buckle, she oozed glamour and grace. Cut perfectly, the dress was kept understated with a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo python pumps which although pretty uninspiring, helped to keep this look suited for the day.

Alison Brie: Also wearing a top-to-toe look by the iconic Italian label, ‘Mad Men’ actress Alison Brie added a pop of spring to the front row. Opting for a Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2014 white strapless pleated dress, Alison looked refreshingly modern and injected a welcome dose of colour with Salvatore Ferragamo pink suede heels and a Ferragamo pink, black and orange leather clutch. I think this is a great look for Alison and a great front row look for Milan.

Anna Dello Russo In Moschino - Moschino Dinner

We’ve always known Moschino for its fun approach to fashion, but Jeremy Scott took that to a whole new level for his first runway show for the Italian brand yesterday morning.

The tongue-in-cheek, quirky pieces included a wedding gown covered in nutritional facts, a chocolate-brown Hersey-bar wrap gown, a Cheetos gown – which someone needs to send Britney Spears’ way – and several pieces giving an ode to McDonalds.

No surprises that Anna Dello Russo was wearing a red sweater as a dress and a red quilted clutch, both featuring a modified version of the famous golden arches.

Taking the styling even further than the runway, she added high-heeled red open-toe lace-up sandals and a french-fries phone cover – and of course, no ADR look would be complete without a fanciful headpiece, so on this occasion she completed her look with a feathered fascinator.

Anna Dello Russo and Giovanna Battaglia In Prada - Miu Miu Women's Tales 7th Edition -'Spark & Light' Screening

Anna Dello Russo and Giovanna Battaglia attended the Miu Miu Women’s Tales 7th Edition -’Spark & Light’ screening, held at the Diamond Horseshoe on Tuesday (February 11) in New York City.

Had these two fashion mavens not been besties, I would have believed their meeting on the red carpet to have been quite awkward.

But, I think it is pretty safe to say that this double dose of Prada was pre-planned.

If your question is who wore it better,I would have to say Gio Bat.

She wasn’t a slave to the runway styling like ADR, opting for tights instead of the runway knee-high striped socks.

Also, the fact that she didn’t wear a ridiculous feathered head-piece also scores in her favor.
