Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Because of the bad economy their isn’t an official Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week. This didn’t stop Kevan Hall showing off his Fall 2009 collection yesterday. His collection was shown as part of a charity event with The Colleagues, benefiting The Children’s Institute.

Kevan presented First Lady worthy sheaths, along with structured dresses in tweed and wool.

The red carpet gown had a colour palette of earthy shades of ruby, bronze and brown.

The stand-out piece was the red one-shouldered gown.

Molly Sims wore a bright cranberry coloured one-shouldered dress custom-designed by Kevan Hall for the event. The dress was decorated with real, freeze-dried cranberries to promote a new cranberry body wash by Dial. I kid you not.

This event was full of colourful pieces and Angie Harmon kept that going wearing a fuschia pink satin dress.

This colour was all over the Fall 2009 runways, so Ms Harmon is getting on the trend train very early.

I’m not sure about those two shades of blue Garcelle Beauvais is wearing with her yellow cowl-neck dress. The shoes would have been enough.

Lisa Rinna wore a belted taffeta v neck shimmering green dress. This is a surprisingly sophisticated look for Lisa, after her shameless campaign to get herself back on Melrose Place.

Virginia Madsen wore a form-fitting leopard print Kevan Hall Fall 2008 dress, with gold strappy sandals, and a Mary Norton clutch. Gorgeous.

Actress Melissa George wore this edgy Todd Lynn Fall 2008 dress, when she arrived at the Annual Oxfam party in Hollywood last year.

This sexy dress has an open back with a low v-neck, and fur sleeves, which Melissa wore with black pumps.

Angie Harmon wore the same dress with her hair tied back, and black peep-toes, to the Diamonds in Africa Benefit, last month.

Although I prefer Angie’s peep-toes, I love Melissa’s hair, and this dress suits her mystic. Angie is a bit miss goodie-two-shoes for this dress.

Valentino Reception Honoring New Yorkers For Children, New York

Heidi Klum was the first to wear Victoria Beckham Collection earlier this week, now her fellow Victoria’s Secret supermodel pal Selita Ebanks has.

Selita wore this Spring 2009 strapless dress, which I tried on and fell in love with last year.

The strapless tulle trimmed corseted navy pencil dress, has sequined hip panel and a matching sash at the waist.

It looks like these models may start to out do Mrs Beckham in her own designs.

Women’s World Awards, Vienna

Elle Macpherson wore the same Roberto Cavalli green gown, with gold details that Carla Guginos had worn to the LA Watchmen premiere earlier this week.

Her gold accessories included a Jimmy Choo Kase oval clutch.

Taking a break from her much favoured black, Monica Bellucci shows us how beautiful she is wearing a lilac satin Christian Dior Spring 2008 gown, which hugs her gorgeous womanly curves.

The Alliance For Children’s Rights Annual Awards Dinner Gala, LA

Angie Harmon wore a red and black printed Behnaz Sarafpour Resort 2009 dress, with a contrast black jersey tank.

A.R.T-JOY-LOVE Charity Gala For Association Hadassah, Paris

It seems like Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has put the high heels away for good, even then her shorter husband is not around.

With her kitten heels, Carla wore a black Chanel dress, with an ivory bib.

I wasn’t going to pay Elsa Zylberstein much attention, until I clocked her Balenciaga studded gladiator heels. ?

Julianne Moore was the host of this event.

She arrived wearing a Lanvin Spring 2009 ensemble consisting of a blue asymmetrical blouse with a puffy sleeve, and a black skirt, which tied at the waist.

Her look was complete with YSL criss-cross strappy sandals.

Angie Harmon wore this edgy Todd Lynn Fall 2008 black halter dress, which had furry details on the shoulder.

I love how fierce she look here. Totally unexpected.

Camilla Belle’s sequined sheath dress is divine.

I love the pop of colour on her lips, and the way the black peplum at the waist kicks back.

I got really excited to see Dita von Teese again, but for what might be the first time ever, she really lets me down with this dress. Talking about aging.

The dress is too boring, too plain and too safe for Dita. I just can’t believe I am typing those words with reference to her.

Sharon Stone wore a black silk chiffon Christian Dior Spring 2009 halter top embellished with gold paillettes.

Her look was complete with black pants, a black blazer and a Lady Dior ‘Cannage’ bag.

Love her or hate her, Kim Kardashian continues to impress. This time she kept her look simple in a black gown, whilst showing off some stunning diamonds.

Who would thought an event hosted by Julianne Moore would have Kim as an attendee?

Debra Messing was one of my red carpet faves for a while, but I feel lost looking at her here.

I don’t know what I love more. Natalia Vodianova’s strappy sandals, or her mint green dress. ♥.

Monique Lhuillier looks stunning in her own self designed ruffled strapless dress.

Helena Christensen is purplicious in her stunning plunging gown.

Lily Collins has been making many red carpet appearances, despite what she actually does still not being entirely clear.

She wore a crushed BCBG Max Azria taupe dres, with gold heels.
