Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Earlier today Angelina Jolie joined her partner Brad Pitt for the premiere of ‘Moneyball’ in Japan.

The beautiful actress wore an Atelier Versace cocktail dress.

When you saw the title Atelier Versace, you were expecting more, right?

I know I was, but, just like Jennifer Aniston earlier this week, we have to appreciate that the actress is not that interested in fashion, plus she was supporting her partner, so she opted for a low-key approach despite the colour.

The spaghetti strapped red silk cadis dress, which matched her lippie, has a metallic zipper down the entire length of the back.

Hair, makeup and shoes are all pretty standard for Ange.

This is not a bad look, but not quite BDOTW worthy either.

Angelina Jolie supported husband Brad Pitt at the premiere of his new movie “Moneyball” during the 2011 Toronto Film Festival on Friday.

The actress wore a Vivienne Westwood ‘Savannah’ black satin couture gown.

Her black silk cowl-neck gown was accessorized with a stunning gold Louis Vuitton Lockit PM Devotion clutch, which is attached to a gold cuff wrapped around her wrist.

She also wore a pair of plain black Stuart Weitzman pumps so I’m glad her clutch was exciting enough to spice up this simple look.

Glossy, wavy hair and flawless makeup completed her look.

Angelina Jolie walked the red carpet with Brad Pitt during the closing ceremony of the 17th Sarajevo Film Festival on Saturday at the Sarajevo National Theatre in Bosnia.

The actress accepted the Honorary Heart Of Sarajevo award for bringing attention to refugees in the country.

Considering the nature of the award I think Angelina – who often wears a lot of black – struck the right balance by showcasing her beauty whilst being respectable and tasteful.

There were no plunging necklines, no OTT jewels, just a beautiful Elie Saab Spring 2011 blouson gown teamed with nude glossy lips, sleek straight hair and a gold bracelet.

The silk loose fit gown with three-quarter length sleeves gathers at the waist plus it has a large overlap on the skirt which reveals a split when she walks.

Jimmy Choo nude peep-toes and a matching clutch completed her look.

Angelina Jolie didn’t join Lucy Liu and Jack Black for the “Kung Fu Panda II” New York Premiere yesterday, because she was in LA supporting her beau Brad Pitt at his “The Tree Of Life” LA Premiere.

The beautiful actress selected a Jenny Packham gown.

Her red one shoulder silk chiffon draped gown with a velvet waistband was a surprising colour choice.

Whilst not being blown away by this look as Ange isn’t breathing much life into it, I am grateful that the look isn’t predictable.

On a more important note, Brad has finally shaved off that god awful beard.

I would like to think that they made a deal. She wore a colour other than black, and he would finally shave.

Everyone’s happy.

Stuart Weitzman nude satin ‘Hiturn’ platforms completed her look.

Angelina Jolie was joined on the red carpet today for the “Kung Fu Panda 2″ LA Premiere by her co-star Jack Black and beau Brad Pitt.

I was surprised that most of you didn’t like Angelina’s Atelier Versace Cannes gown, because it was the first time in a long time she’d stepped out of her box.

On this occasion she was very firmly in the box, but looking stunning nonetheless wearing Michael Kors.

Her Fall 2011 look included a simple black satin short sleeved top paired with a simple black skirt with a thigh-high split.

The look was accessorized with a Michael Kors leather buckle belt and her favoured Ferragamo heels.

Those emerald green jewels she wore to the “Kung Fu Panda 2″ photocall in Cannes would’ve worked better with this look.

But simple always works best for Angelina.

There was no point guessing who Angelina Jolie was going to wear tonight at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “The Tree Of Life” Premiere; it was always going to be Atelier Versace.

Angelina glided down the red carpet wearing a gorgeous Atelier Versace rich chocolate strapless silk gown.

Normally Angelina opts for something more fitted, but on this occasion she went for a lot of volume, a thigh-high split and a long train.

I love that she opted to go big at this Premiere, as the 2011 Cannes moto is, “Go Big or Go Home.”

Utterly breath-taking.
