Angelina Jolie In Versus Versace – 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Angelina Jolie In Versus Versace - 2015 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards

Angelina Jolie attended the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards held at The Forum on Saturday (March 28) in Inglewood, California, with her kids who looked ecstatic when she collected her award for ‘Favourite Villain’ in ‘Maleficent’.

The award winning actress wore a Versus Versace Spring 2015 black silk candy gown enriched by gold metallic spaghetti straps and gold studs.

Even though this was a Versus gown, where sex appeal is usually imbued, her dress took a simple, no fuss approach, which was typically Angelina.

Angelina Jolie In Atelier Versace – 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Angelina Jolie In Atelier Versace - 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Angelina Jolie was flying solo on the red carpet for the 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday (January 15) in Los Angeles, California.

Like Jennifer Aniston, Angelina didn’t go for tried and trusted black, instead working a silver metallic-silk gown with a plunging neckline and draped sleeves from Atelier Versace.

While there is a sense of familiarity about this look, the Atelier Versace–Angeline Jolie partnership is very much back on track after a few lulls at the end of last year.

For the first time in a long time I feel a softness from Angelina. This comes from the understated hue and fluid shape, all the while still maintaining a hint of seduction.

Outstanding Service To The Colour Black – Angelina Jolie

Outstanding Service To The Colour Black
Angelina Jolie put the bold in the colour black this year, giving the hue the VIP treatment on nearly every single red carpet she frequented.

The actress, who has somewhat stayed away from the spotlight, was back in action thanks in large part to her international promo tour for ‘Maleficent,’ which was where we really starting seeing her full embrace of the colour.

Relying heavily on the Atelier Versace design house for her black dresses, she debuted the dark shade in many renditions that not only suited her modest and slightly mysterious, red-carpet style, but also perfectly fit her sinister, fairytale character in the film—especially when paired with custom Christian Louboutin, ‘Maleficent’-inspired heels.

From a rubberized silk gown at the world premiere in Hollywood to a glittery Swarovski crystal-embroidered chiffon confection at a private reception for the movie, she worked every angle of the colour to dramatic and dimensional effect. And she gave me a whole new appreciation for the LBD with her structured Atelier Versace hourglass dress at the Japan premiere.

Perhaps one of the few times she wasn’t dressed in the colour was when she married Brad Pitt in an Atelier Versace white satin gown.

Repetitive it might have been, but her unapologetic adoption of the shade was intriguing and she worked it to captivating effect. Will 2015 be the year of another statement colour for Angelina?

Somehow I think she’ll stick to black.

Angelina Jolie In Ralph & Russo Couture – ‘Unbroken’ London Premiere

Angelina Jolie In Ralph & Russo - 'Unbroken' London Premiere

Angelina Jolie attended the premiere of ‘Unbroken’ held at the Odeon Leicester Square on Tuesday (November 25) in London, England.

The actress turned to her favourite British couturier: Ralph & Russo, who have been known to dress Angelina on several occasions, including her last visit to London to receive the Insignia of Honorary Dame Grand Cross from the Queen.

This white Spring 2014 Couture pencil dress with a bolero cape is not too dissimilar in that it’s also impeccably crafted using luxe fabrics with special attention made to even the smallest detail.

Some might deem this photocall worthy at best, wish she’d opted for the runway embroidered version or preferred this as a gown, I would simply state that this is her best look so far on this promo tour.

A simple updo, nude pumps – which perhaps didn’t work too well – and Beladora vintage earrings completed her look,

You may remember that Fan Bingbing wore the runway version back in May.

Angelina Jolie In Atelier Versace – ‘Unbroken’ Sydney Photocall

Angelina Jolie In Atelier Versace - 'Unbroken' Sydney Photocall

Following Monday night’s premiere, Angelina Jolie continued to promote her latest movie, ‘Unbroken’, with a picturesque photocall at Sydney Opera House this afternoon (November 18) in Sydney, Australia.

She was back to wearing her favourite designer – Versace – donning a custom-made Atelier Versace pale grey dress with a plunging neckline and draped detailing.

While it couldn’t have hurt Donatella to throw another colourway into the mix, this dress is stunning in its construction and breathtaking on Angelina. I’m tempted to say I love this more than the premiere gown.

I’m delighted we are seeing something different from both Angelina and Versace.

Nude Christian Louboutin ‘Decollete’ pumps accessorized her look, with barely any makeup touching that gorgeous face.

Angelina Jolie In Gucci Première – ‘Unbroken’ Sydney Premiere

Angelina Jolie In Gucci Première - 'Unbroken' Sydney Premiere

Following Friday’s Hollywood Film Awards, Angelina Jolie headed to Sydney, Australia where she took to the red carpet this evening (November 17) at the State Theatre for the world premiere of ‘Unbroken’ with husband Brad Pitt.

The actress wore a Gucci Premiere white silk crepe strapless gown featuring a black silk encrusted lace overlay and a delicate train, cut for a figure-flattering fit, which was a sure-fire way to make a grand entrance.

Yes, its strapless again, but I’m delighted it’s not a déjà vu outing in Versace.

With her hair in a simple updo and makeup enhancing that gorgeous face, she completed her look with just a pair of diamond stud earrings.
