Angelababy In Three Floor - 5th Anniversary W Hotel Celebration Event

Angelababy attended the 5th Anniversary celebration event held by the W Hotel in Hong Kong, China on Thursday evening.

After failing to impress – mostly because of her shoe choice – the last time out, the model/actress was back to her best, wearing a dress from a London-based brand which is gaining a huge celebrity following: Three Floor.

Her playful and seductive red-berry dress, with a flattering silhouette and swishing skirt that gently flares away from the hips, features nude mesh inserts and a bandeau neckline with black elastic contrasts on the shoulders.

Many of you weren’t fans of this nude insert on Emma Roberts’ dress by the same designer; however, I think the panel is closer to Angelababy’s skin tone on this occasion.

Thankfully hearing our pleas for regular shoes, she opted for a matchy pair with a cute bow-front design.

Angelababy In Masha Ma - 'Crimes of Passion' Press Conference

Angelababy attended the ‘Crimes of Passion’ press conference held in Beijing, China on Tuesday.

The model/actress known for her love of stunning gowns opted for a more laidback look featuring a chambray cropped shirt with a Masha Ma Spring 2013 skirt with a fishtail hemline.

As with most looks we observe from the East, the look was styled with a pair of quadruple-stacked platform heels.

Additional styling included a blue bead bracelet and both silver and gold rings.

Pretty girl, terrible look from head to toe. Especially the horse-hoofed toe.

Who Wore Alexander McQueen Better Elizabeth Banks or Angelababy

Elizabeth Banks looked breathtaking when she took to the red carpet for the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscars party back in February wearing an off-runway Alexander McQueen Spring 2013 gown with a low-cut bodice.

She styled her poppy-print organza gown with an Alexander McQueen tortoise-shell belt with a gold buckle, Dior jewels, Brian Atwood heels and a gold McQueen clutch.

Angelababy wore the same gown when she attended the 2013 Huading Awards Ceremony in Hong Kong last month.
Opting to style her gown with the solid gold belt, I felt the jewels were too much for this gown; Elizabeth was right to keep her jewels simple.

Also, the excessive boobage was off putting. For letting the gown do all the talking, Elizabeth wins for me.

Angelababy In Alexander McQueen - 2013 Huading Awards Ceremony

Angelababy joined Fan Bingbing on the red carpet for the 2013 Huading Awards Ceremony, held at the Kowloonbay International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong yesterday evening.

The stunning actress wore an Alexander McQueen Spring 2013 strapless gown.

While the red floral bustier gown accented with a gold belt is stunning, it would be remiss of me not to point out the excessive boobage and the needless silver jewels.

Simplicity was the direction in which she should’ve strode; instead, she over-accessorized the look.

Does Angelababy win you over with this look, or are you not feeling it for the reasons I have listed above?

You may remember that Elizabeth Banks wore this same gown to the 2013 Vanity Fair Party.

Dior Shanghai Spring 2013 Couture

As Asia is such an important market for fashion brands, Christian Dior headed east to present their Spring 2013 Haute Couture collection at Five on the Bund in Shanghai, China on Saturday, inviting several of our favourite Asian actresses who all wore looks from the Dior Spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection.

Zhang Ziyi: The Asian superstar took her front-row seat wearing a look from the Spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection, which has been so successful on the red carpet. She selected a yellow-gold paillette dress with a layered tulle overlay. This look would’ve been amazing if she had worn the runway belt. As presented, Zhang looks very boxy.

Shu Qi: Taking a more masculine approach, Shu Qi wore a Dior charcoal-grey tuxedo dress with notched lapels and a pleated skirt with shimmering blue and pink panels. Not only do I not get the dress, but I also don’t understand the styling choice of adding patterned tights. A very rare miss for Shu Qi.

Angelababy: Even Angelababy can’t make this collection work. All I see here is a lot of fabric posing as a tri-coloured strapless Dior dress, and a solid effort to lift the look with pink Dior sandals and a grey Miss Dior bag; sadly, those efforts are to no avail.

Sun Li: The actress is the only one who gets a pass from me. While we have seen this Dior strapless tuxedo dress before on Allison Williams, this is the only dress that worked on this red carpet; of course, it is hard to go wrong with an LBD.

Do any of these looks work for you? In answer to my own question, “No.”

WWIB Chanel

Queen of Cannes Film Festival 2013, Diane Kruger attended the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala back in May wearing a Chanel Resort 2013 dress.

Her short-sleeved embroidered white dress accented with lavender floral details was styled with an old Hollywood marcel-wave hairdo, teardrop earrings, a white clutch and silver-glitter Christian Louboutin pumps.

Sporting newly-dyed light-brown hair, Angelababy wore the same dress to the Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards in China in early January.

Giving her look an edge, she styled her pretty frock with spiked Louboutins and an oversized cuff.

While I appreciate Angelababy’s efforts to take this look up a notch, Diane’s impeccable styling ensures her win.
