Angela Bassett In Elisabetta Franchi – 2014 Emmy Awards

Angela Bassett In Elisabetta Franchi - 2014 Emmy Awards

Looking like a goddess, Angela Bassett glided down the red carpet for the 2014 Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Monday (August 25) in Los Angeles, California.

The beautiful actress worked a Grecian vibe wearing a pure white Elisabetta Franchi Fall 2014 long-sleeved gown accented with gold chain detailing on the wrists and a gold leather waistband.

David Yurman jewels, an Oroton ‘Freize’ gold clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti heels accessorized her look, with wild wavy tresses providing the finishing touches.

Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett & Sarah Paulson – PaleyFest 2014 Closing Night Presentation Honouring ‘American Horror Story: Coven’

Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett & Sarah Paulson - PaleyFest 2014 Closing Night Presentation Honouring 'American Horror Story Coven'

Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett and Sarah Paulson attended The Paley Center for Media’s closing-night presentation honouring ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ in Hollywood, California on Friday (March 28).

Emma Roberts: The young actress, who hosted the Nicolas Kirkwood dinner the night before, went from sexy to chic wearing a chiffon layered Finders Keepers dress. Instead of opting for dainty sandals, she styled her pretty frock with Jimmy Choo ‘Tia’ mirror-rhinestone-embellished pumps, further opting for a selection of complementary jewels. A wavy bobbed ‘do added a retro-glam touch to her look.

Angela Bassett: The actress wore a black-and-white La Petite Robe by Chiara Boni boat-neck cap-sleeved dress, which was sadly upstaged by a distracting oversized green clutch.

Sarah Paulson: Opting for a head-to-toe Marc Jacobs look, she was on track with her co-stars, who also added white elements to their looks. The long-sleeved white dress was, like Angela’s look, let down with some odd accessory choices. The green-and-black snakeskin pumps don’t work with this dress, and I’m not too fond of the camel-and-black clutch either, especially when paired with those shoes. Side-parted locks and a red lip prevented her from looking too washed out.

Angela Bassett In Ines Di Santo – HBO’s Golden Globe Awards Party

Angela Bassett In Ines Di Santo - HBO's Golden Globe Awards Party

Angela Bassett attended HBO’s Post 2014 Golden Globe Awards Party held at Circa 55 Restaurant on Sunday (January 12) in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ actress wore a gorgeous black Ines Di Santo sequined floor-sweeping gown.

Her gown is breathtaking; I wanted to give her full marks for this look but I wish the sheer panel on the deep V had a bit more give as it’s squashing Angela’s lady lumps.

A black clutch and L’Dezen jewels rounded out her look.

Angela Bassett In Byron Lars – 2014 Film Independent Filmmaker Grant And Spirit Awards Nominees Brunch

Angela Bassett In Byron Lars - 2014 Film Independent Filmmaker Grant And Spirit Awards Nominees Brunch

Angela Bassett joined Melonie Diaz, Lupita Nyong’o and Emily Mortimer for the 2014 Film Independent Filmmaker Grant And Spirit Awards nominees’ brunch held at BOA Steakhouse on Saturday (January 11) in West Hollywood, California.

The beautiful actress wore a Byron Lars black-and-gold jacquard leaf-print dress with a sheer yoke accented with a gold bow belt, styled with black platform pumps and gold jewels.

There is a part of me that feels like this dress is too twee for Angela. Perhaps it would’ve worked better for me in a pencil silhouette.

Plus the pumps are too heavy for the look and she shouldn’t have worn the brown cami. If she had to wear the lining, it should’ve been black to blend better with black velvet placket of the dress.

Angela Bassett In Theia – 2013 Tony Awards

Angela Bassett In Theia - 2013 Tony Awards

Angela Bassett was one of the many stars who took the Radio City Music Hall in New York City by storm for the 2013 Tony Awards on Sunday evening.

The actress looked breathtaking, wearing a strapless amethyst chiffon gown featuring a silver-sequin-and-crushed-pearl bodice from Theia’s Spring 2013 collection.

I’m tempted to say that she probably didn’t need all those Lorraine Schwartz jewels with such a beautifully embellished gown, but she makes it work for her.

Angela Bassett In Theia – 2013 National Board Of Review Awards

Angela Bassett In Theia - 2013 National Board Of Review Awards

I refuse to believe that Angela Bassett is 54-years-old.

The actress looked outstanding taking the red carpet at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City yesterday evening, for the 2013 National Board Of Review Awards which was also attended by Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Bradley Cooper and Amanda Seyfried.

Sporting a spiked hairstyle à la Halle Berry, the actress wore Theia Fall 2012 black strapless gown.

The figure-hugging gown with a shimmer panel was styled with studded earrings and a black clutch.

Like Helen Mirren, Angela just gets better with age.

I need to find out what moisturisers she’s using asap.

2012 BET Awards

The 2012 BET Awards was held at The Shrine Auditorium in LA on Sunday evening with several stars taking to the red carpet.

Selita Ebanks: The model sported a sexy, futuristic look wearing a Falguni and Shane Peacock dress with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. The silver clutch doesn’t work for me, even with the silver bead work on her dress, but the rest of her look scores highly.

La La Vazquez-Anthony: The TV personality opted for a ‘Studio 54-esque’ look wearing a shimmering Lois London jumpsuit. Her top-notch styling included a vintage Versace belt, Jimmy Choo heels and complementary Loren Ridinger jewels. A side-swept ponytail completed her look.

Monica Brown: The singer looked sensational rocking a berry-coloured look which featured a structured blazer and sequin pants.

Who Wore Giorgio Armani Better? Gwen Stefani or Angela Bassett

This year Gwen Stefani attended her first Cannes Film Festival as a L’Oreal girl.

She grace the red carpet at the premiere for ‘This Must Be The Place’ wearing a Giorgio Armani Spring 2011 gown.

Her chic white silk gown with a black asymmetrical strap and an opening just above the waist was teamed with tri-colour Christian Louboutin peep-toes and a red clutch.

Angela Bassett wore the same dress to the Multicultural Benefit Gala to celebrate ‘An Evening of Many Cultures’ at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City last month.

She finished off her look with a sleek bob, a black clutch and black peep-toes.

This is a hard one for me because I didn’t like Gwen’s heavy eye makeup, but I preferred her accessories and I loved the red lips, so she eventually wins for me.

If you can’t make up your mind, click on the image above to see more pictures of these ladies in their Giorgio Armani dress.
