Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Mens1

Here is a quick roundup from the fellas who took to the red carpet this week.

Andrew Garfield: The actor supported girlfriend Emma Stone at the premiere of her latest movie ‘Magic in the Moonlight’ yesterday evening. Donning a Dior Homme silver wool and silk two-button notched-lapel suit with a black silk tie, I am totally distracted by the bead he is sporting. I’m hoping it is for a movie role as me no likey. Christian Louboutin Trepeter flats completed his look.

David Beckham: The former soccer star attended the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards 2014 yesterday evening with his sons Romeo and Cruz wearing a printed short-sleeved shirt to show off his tattoos paired with dark denim jeans and brown laceups. He was there to picked up the ‘Legend’ award at the show before getting slimed in gold. His nickname is golden balls after all.

Met Gala Men 1The dress code at the 2014 Met Ball, themed ‘Charles James: Beyond Fashion’ was “white tie,” which meant the guys were on their best glam behavior—at least most of them. Tuxes were spotted at every turn among the handsome hunks on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 5). It takes a lot of sartorial strength to stand up to the rush of bustling, bold gowns that punctuate the evening, but let’s hear it for the men who made it work.

David Beckham: This hot topic was hotter than ever in a crisp, cool Ralph Lauren Black Label white shawl collar tuxedo jacket, black bow tie and black tuxedo pant. This is the way to rock formal wear, without a hit of fussiness. Swooning yet?

Douglas Booth
: The British actor took a regally traditional route, but put a refreshingly modern spin on his head-to-toe Burberry outing. He was positively dashing in a black tailcoat and dress trousers, worn with a white waistcoat, wing collar bib-front shirt, white bow tie and black loafers.

Andrew Garfield
: “The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ star looked sharp in silver, dressed in a Band of Outsiders metallic blazer with contrasting black shawl collar, paired with a white shirt, black bow tie and black tuxedo trousers. I love the touch of metal here.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Rise Of Electro’ New York Premiere Menswear Roundup

Here’s a quick look at the fellas who took to the red carpet for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro’ premiere held at the Ziegfeld Theater on Thursday (April 24) in New York City.

Andrew Garfield: Like his co-star/girlfriend Emma Stone, Andrew was also showcasing a new hairstyle for this premiere. Looking very dapper in this Alexander McQueen blue and purple blumed check single-breasted suit with Christian Louboutin ‘Education’ flats, I don’t think he’s ever looked so handsome. This buzz cut is a great look for him and the suit is one of my favourites from this promo tour.

Dane DeHaan: The actor and face of Prada’s Spring 2014 campaign wore a print-free look from said collection, selecting a green kid-mohair two-button notched-lapel suit with a light-blue and white thinly striped shirt with Prada shoes. While I love the colour and cut of the suit, just one button undone would’ve been preferred, but this is a style he rocks consistently on the red carpet.

Menswear RoundupA handful of handsome guys were on the scene this week. Here, a look at their sartorial statements.

Andrew Garfield: Joining Emma Stone at the Berlin premiere of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro’ at the Sony Center on Tuesday (April 15), the lead actor was all buttoned up in a refined Louis Vuitton double-breasted, grey plaid suit, accessorized with a dark micro-dot tie, lavender dress shirt and brown loafers.

James Franco: Alongside Leighton Meester, James was at the Broadway opening night after-party for ‘Of Mice and Men,’ held on Wednesday (April 16) at New York City’s Plaza Hotel. He took a classic turn in a black Gucci peak-lapel, two-button ‘Signoria’ suit with a white evening shirt, black silk tie and black leather lace-ups—worn with a side of facial scruff.

Dane DeHaan: Well-coordinated to his co-star at ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ premiere, Dane was also dressed in grey, wearing a Prada suit with a white popeline printed shirt and black calf lace-up loafers. Did you like his tie-less look?

'The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Rise Of Electro' Rome Premiere Menswear Roundup

The boys of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro’ are doing a very good job of keeping up with the stylish Emma Stone.

Last night in Rome, they once again showcased their savvy, individual styles.

Andrew Garfield: When in Rome, go sans socks? That is what Andrew did, wearing a Viktor & Rolf Monsieur burgundy suit from the Fall 2014 collection worn with an open-collar shirt and brown lace-ups.

Dane DeHaan: The actor, who is the current face of Prada’s Spring 2014 campaign, wore a light-brown suit from said collection with the most interesting part of the look being his floral-print shirt. While some might think the suit is too stuffy buttoned up, I think it’s better this way to prevent the look feeling like a Hawaiian vacation shirt.

Jamie Foxx: Solidifying his spot as the dapper one of the group, Jamie donned another Ozwald Boateng suit working the bow-tie angle. While the trouser length may not be perfect, this is still a very slick look.
