Andrea Riseborough In Elie Saab Couture - ‘Oblivion’ World Premiere

Andrea Riseborough took to the red carpet yesterday evening for the world premiere of ‘Oblivion’, held at the Village Recoleta Cinema in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

You may remember that this stunning Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture gown was on my wish list, so I’m ecstatic to see it grace the red carpet.

The gorgeous strapless ivory gown, which features black embroidery and watercolour floral sequin embellishment, unfortunately wasn’t captured well.

I wish someone had been on hand to pull that right side of the gown out for the photos so we could’ve seen this heavenly piece in all its glory.

Also, as gorgeous as Andrea’s chocolaty wavy locks are, I would’ve preferred her hair back in a bun or a ponytail.

It may seem like I have picked this look apart, but I do love the look as she managed to bring a supreme regal elegance to it. She looks like she just stepped out of an epic period drama.

My slight tweaks are a result of seeing this look a thousand times in my mind, only to see it looking different in reality.

One down, four more to go. Bring on Cannes Film Festival.

Andrea Riseborough made an appearance at the Chanel Pre-Oscar Dinner held at L.A.’s Madeo Restaurant on Saturday.

The actress wore a look straight from the Chanel Spring 2013 runway collection.

Andrea decided to go with a classic Chanel look this time around in a swingy, blue tweed dress with an oversized peter pan collar and red piping. I like that she really went for the classic Chanel style complete with a quilted clutch and cap-toed heels.

Andrea completed her look with a softly curled under ‘do pinned back just above the temple. I think the overall look is lovely, but as it is very sweet and demure, I would have liked to see a less schoolgirl hairstyle for a bit more edge.

What do you think: too sweet, or just perfect?

Andrea Riseborough In Matthew Williamson - 2013 Elle Style Awards

Andrea Riseborough hit the red carpet in a super textural design at the 2013 Elle Style Awards at London’s Savoy Hotel.

The ‘Disconnect’ actress looked effortlessly stunning in a silvery grey design from Matthew Williamson Pre-Fall 2013.

A casual v-neck cut and half-sleeve style was amped up thanks to a beautiful lace design and a soft and flowy feather hemline. Andrea definitely brought the glamour to the red carpet with this design.

The actress styled her cocktail-style dress with Christian Louboutin ‘Dufoura’ open-toe booties and a straightforward beauty style with her hair simply styled in a down look, a smoky eye and a pink lip.

I love the style on her, but would have loved a more delicate sandal and sleek low bun more. Do you agree?

Andrea Riseborough In Vivienne Westwood - 2013 BAFTA AwardsBritish actress Andrea Riseborough also opted for yellow to chase away the chill at the 2013 BAFTA Awards, hosted on Sunday at the Royal Opera House in London, England.

After her frou-frou- and floral-filled turn in a Chanel Resort 2013 frock at the BAFTA nominees party, Andrea took a harder line with her more straight-laced Vivienne Westwood Couture gown styled with De Beers jewels.

The strapless creation still had some frill factor, though, with the ribbon-like detailing at the bodice.

However, the overall effect wasn’t as polished as it perhaps could have been, as the dress appeared a bit rumpled and wrinkled.

The contrast between Andrea’s jet-black hair, which was haphazardly pulled into an updo, as well as her black handbag and black lacquered nails was all a bit harsh against the yellow.

Such a colour combination should perhaps be left to the bumblebee.

Andrea Riseborough In Chanel - EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party

Andrea Riseborough dusted off the winter blues and made a spring statement at the EE British Academy Film Awards nominees party, held on Saturday at Asprey London.

The British actress took an ethereal red carpet turn in a floral Chanel Resort 2013 gown.

When I first saw this frothy number on the runway, I wasn’t too keen on it.

The ample ruffles at the voluminous skirt and large bows with bold flower embellishments at the front came across way too sweet for my taste.

Surprisingly, Andrea managed to lift this look from eccentric to lovely vintage glamour with great panache.

The pared-down styling, minimal jewels and nude Jimmy Choo heels, were instrumental in making this ensemble work.

Her cascading dark curls, smoky eyes and pink pout looked effortlessly refined.
