Olivia Culpo In Marchesa – 2017 Oscars

Fashion and philanthropy were both highlighted in Olivia Culpo’s 2017 Oscars look, which she debuted on the red carpet on Sunday (February 26) in Hollywood, California.

Her custom, one-of-a-kind Marchesa for Stella Artois gown, styled with Neil Lane jewels, was no ordinary gown.

Not only did it reflect the ethereally feminine quality for which Marchesa is known, it was also dripping in glass beads made from the Stella Artois limited edition chalices that benefit Water.org. Recycling and re-using never looked so stunning.

Olivia’s lavender-rimmed eyes and a sleek, long ponytail brought a modern finish to the beautiful, vintage edge of the dress that embodied the look-good, do-good spirit.

Isabelle Huppert In Armani Privé – 2017 Oscars

Isabelle Huppert attended the 2017 Oscars on Sunday night (February 26).

The nominee wore a custom Armani Privé gown with a few well-placed jewels.

Once again, Isabelle is wowing me. This gown is the epitome of elegance. It holds true to a color trend we’ll be seeing tonight–silvers and whites, and she looks so graceful with the long sleeves and draping of the gown.

I’m also completely swooning over her styling! Wearing such a dark manicure color is modern and edgy and that ear crawler is definitely something to write home about.

A total home run for me from head-to-toe!

Ruth Negga In Valentino Couture – 2017 Oscars

Ruth Negga was one of the first stars to hit the red carpet of the 2017 Oscars on Sunday night (February 26).

The actress wore a long-sleeved, red Valentino Couture gown with Irene Neuwirth and Gemfields jewels.

The high neckline and lace detailing on the gown are elegant and dramatic, and this total look is a stand-out, despite being quite understated.

I love Ruth’s Crown, earrings & ring are designed by Irene Neuwirth and feature responsibly sourced Gemfeilds Mozambican Rubies, and the blue ribbon in support of ACLU.

All in all, a truly lovely look, and a great way to kick off the night.

2015 Oscars & Vanity Fair Party Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Oscar men

The men were out in force at the 2015 Oscars and the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where there was plenty of handsome inspiration to go around from a fine group of fellows.

Jared Leto: Getting the evening started on a non-traditional note, the actor and musician was every bit the unorthodox Academy Awards dresser in his baby-blue Givenchy tux, accented by a white bowtie and white lug sole shoes. He let his hair down literally and made no excuses for it, saying that the Oscars was his going-away party for his locks. I wonder if the beard was also included in that party. While no one could pull this off like Jared, between the mane and the male pastels, this was verging on almost too much too handle.

Chris Pine: A stark contrast to Jared, Chris went for the all-out traditionally classic route and suited up in a Giorgio Armani black double-breasted peak-lapel tuxedo. It was impeccable and goes to show what transformative power a well-tailored tux can have.

David Oyelowo: Looking as if he was inspired by the red carpet itself, the ‘Selma’ actor dressed to impress in a crimson Dolce & Gabbana three-piece tuxedo word with #TackleEbola handcrafted pin by Jason of Beverly Hills. He does a great job pulling off this colour, yet I’m not completely sold on the satiny look of the vest and bowtie underneath.
