Emma Roberts In Lanvin - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Roberts owned the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles tonight (January 12).

The ‘American Horror Story: Coven” actress wore a custom Lanvin gown, turquoise chandelier earrings and a Kotur clutch.

The only appropriate response to this dress is, ‘Wow.” It would be all too easy for a black, unembellished dress to come across as boring but this is pure perfection with a dramatic mermaid hem and striking neckline.

Emma’s clean, swept back hair, smoky eye and dramatic earrings are the perfect complement.

This young actress has truly come into her own and we’re expecting big things on red carpets to come.

Hayden Panettiere In Tom Ford – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Hayden Panettiere went for a black and white theme on the red carpet of the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this evening (January 12).

The ‘Nashville’ star and nominee wore a graphic Tom Ford gown with a bejeweled halter detailing.

Simple black pumps, diamond-encrusted earrings and a white box clutch completed the on-trend look.

Her slicked back hair, nude lips and voluminous lashes are smart and sexy.

Despite lots of strong components, I’m still not completely crazy about this look. Are you?

You may remember that Jourdan Dunn wore this same gown to the Harper’s Bazaar Party late last year.

Olivia Wilde In Gucci Première – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Olivia Wilde had a serious moment in green on the red carpet of the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this evening (January 12).

The pregnant star dressed her baby curves beautifully in a long-sleeved, shimmering Gucci Première gown.

She accented the look with a Emm Kuo clutch, Charlotte Olympia shoes and Forevermark diamonds.

Her ombré hair was left down in beachy waves, and she rocked smokey eyes and a nude lip.

This is being pregnant on the red carpet done right.

Allison Williams In Alexander McQueen - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

As we’re coming to expect from this young star, Allison Williams made a splash at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 12).

The ‘Girls’ star wore a dress from Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 and Jimmy Choo ‘Mariah’ sandals.

Allison has developed a signature style for herself, favoring clean lines and unusual details and this McQueen certainly fits the bill. Love it or hate it, the fuzzy, nautical, architectural top of this dress will have everyone talking tomorrow.

The smoky eye, slicked back hair and drop earrings pull the whole look together.

It’s a solid look for Allison, reinforcing her reputation as a rising fashionista not afraid to take risks.

Ariel Winter In Mikael D – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Ariel Winter took a dramatic turn down the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this evening (January 12).

The ‘Modern Family’ star wore a burgundy Mikael D gown from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

The young star tends to lean toward sophisticated looks on the red carpet, but I think this one really works for her. The gold clutch and colorful Brumani earrings are a playful touch that really work.

Va-va-voom lashes and nude lips complete the look.

Taylor Swift In Carolina Herrera - 2014 Golden Globes

Taylor Swift made a sweeping entrance onto the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, hosted at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday night (January 12).

Nominated for best original song for the upcoming film, ‘One Chance,’ the singer took her own chance by debuting a new look for her. On this night, gone was the predictable sparkle and shine, the girly-glam and the occasional Grecian goddess-influenced flair.

In its place, a drama-filled Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2014 strapless gown—delightfully coloured in cherry-red, save for the slice of edgy black that outlined the sweetheart bodice.

The bustling, ball-gown skirt, which extravagantly trailed behind her, was asymmetrically gathered and draped at the right side, leaving me to wonder if this might present a bit of a challenge once seated.

No matter, it was a lovely entrance that still came across as rather effortless—perhaps due in part to the fact that it wasn’t cluttered by one-too-many jewels. Beautiful gemstone earrings peeked through behind her retro curls, while a statement ring provided an edgier sparkle. Her standard kohl-lined cateye and ruby-red lip were also present and accounted for.

Did Taylor’s slightly new style direction win you over?
