Which Was Your Favourite Amy Adams 2014 Awards Season Look

Amy Adams ditched the expected enchanting gowns for a sleeker look this awards season.

Favouring London-based designers, she rocked Roksanda Ilincic, Victoria Beckham, Roland Mouret and Antonio Berardi with breathtaking results.

She was at her best when working an old-Hollywood glam look. I just love the regal vibe from her Antonio Berardi gown, which was my favourite this awards season closely followed by her Valentino Couture Golden Globes gown and her Gucci Premiere Oscars gown.

The only looks I wasn’t too fond of were her Victoria Beckham BAFTA gown and, looking back, her Carolina Herrera Vanity Fair gown lacked fizz.

Amy Adams In Carolina Herrera - Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014

Amy Adams capped off an epic awards season run at the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday (March 2) in West Hollywood, California following the main event.

After giving us as much colour on the red carpet as Lupita Nyong’o, the actress dialled things down wearing a sweet ivory Carolina Herrera jersey pleated custom made Grecian gown.

The heavenly one-shoulder creation was styled with the most gorgeous pair of Tiffany & Co. earrings and Jimmy Choo ‘Mariah’ sandals.

Amy Adams In Gucci Première - Oscars 2014

Amy Adams looked divine taking to the red carpet for the 2014 Oscars on Sunday (March 2) held at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California.

I didn’t think she would do blue again after dazzling us so spectacularly at the SAG Awards, but lightening can indeed strike twice.

Amy took my breath away wearing a custom Gucci Première sapphire silk crepe tuxedo-inspired gown featuring a fitted bodice and train.

I love these classic screen siren moments she has been giving us; I will find it hard to pick my favourite from awards season.

Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Collection jewels, including ruby stone earrings, and a sweeping updo completed her look.

Amy Adams In Vivienne Westwood - Vanity Fair And Chrysler Toast American Hustle

Amy Adams attended the Vanity Fair and Chrysler toast to American Hustle at Ago Restaurant in West Hollywood, California, last night (February 27).

Following from cobalt blue Victoria Beckham to tomato red Elie Saab, the actress’ new-found love of colour doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon by the looks of this hot pink Vivienne Westwood bustier cocktail dress.

While this is quite a voluptuous look, Amy clearly loves the attention she’s garnering from her ‘American Hustle’ role and is oozing with confidence.

Amy’ slicked-back hair is a great choice as anything like a big wave would have been too reminiscent of a Christina Hendricks turn.

To finish, paired back make-up and nude python Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps ensure the dress is doing all of the talking.

Amy Adams In Frocktalk by Kristin Burke - 16th Annual Costume Designers Guild AwardsAmy Adams joined the chic set, including Crystal Reed, Olivia Munn, Mindy Kaling and Kiernan Shipka, at the 16th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday (February 22).

The ‘American Hustle’ actress, who received the 2014 Lacoste Spotlight Award, wore a Frocktalk by Kristin Burke long-sleeve dress in a rich teal hue that was punctuated by delicately embroidered flowers at the shoulder and waist with Irene Neuwirth jewels and Jimmy Choo ‘Vibe’ peep-toes.

With an ode to old Hollywood glamour, the sophisticated gown didn’t skimp on a touch of sultriness with its backless detail and thigh-high slit.

Completing the effect, she wore a light-pink lippie and curled her flame-red tresses into retro waves, which were only enhanced by the colour of the dress.

Pure elegance?

Amy Adams In Victoria Beckham - The Weinstein Company’s Post-BAFTA Party

Amy Adams attended The Weinstein Co. post-BAFTA party held at the Rosewood London on Sunday (February 16) in London.

Going from one Victoria Beckham dress to another, she wore another look from the British designer’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection.

While her red carpet dress was ‘meh’, this hugs-in-all-the-right-places frock packs a heavier punch with its vibrant blue hue and side slashes. I almost wish she had worn the gown version of this on the red carpet, but she has already done dramatic blue for the SAG Awards.
