Best Dressed Award
Taylor Swift looked so graceful on the red carpet wearing a Kaufman Franco Resort 2009 one shoulder draped nude silver sequin gown.

I know many of you are rolling your eyes and saying “Not another embellished red carpet dress”, but you can’t deny who stunning she was on the red carpet.

Red Carpet Rebel Award
Leighton Meester doesn’t know what ‘play it safe’ means, and I love her for constantly keeping things interesting.

The red carpet rebel wore an interesting white and grey sequin Christian Cota Fall 2009 dress with petal sleeves.

Crazy studded Giuseppe Zanotti fan cut-out boots, a Bottega Veneta clutch, and Cathy Waterman jewelry completed the look along with smoky eyes and a single bangle.

Most Improved Award
Maybe it’s because she stopped trying so hard, or maybe it’s because her sister looked so bad but I liked what Solange was wearing for a change.

Her Armand Basi One LBD with a interesting folded details doesn’t scream “attention” for once.

De Ju Vu Award
Katy Perry does look amazing wearing this Blonds Spring 2009 strapless spikey dress which has been modified from the runway, but I’ve seen so many variations of this corset on Rihanna, Britney and Fergie that I’m starting to get a bit bored of this look.

As if her dress didn’t sparkle enough she added JudeFrances jewelery to her look.

It’s A Bit Formal, But I Love It Award
Nelly Furtardo’s Elie Saab Fall 2009 sheath dress with an embellished neckline may seem to formal for the VMAs, but I absolutely love this dress.

It reminds me of the dress Kelly Osbourne wore to the GQ Awards last week.

Best Mini Dress Award
Rose Byrne was the biggest surprised on this red carpet, but she got into the spirit of the event by wearing a cute Marc Jacobs Resort 2010 black mini dress with a purple floral print.

Best Balmain Award
Shakira’s sexy look was more fitting to this Balmain Fall 2009 dress than Pink, even though most of us are not fans of the thigh-high boots trend.

Best LBD Award
Alicia Keys who I would’ve expected to wear something more colourful, opted for a black sequin Dolce & Gabbana dress with silver circle details.

A sliver clutch and multi-coloured heels complete the look.

Best Jumpsuit Award
After Amber Rose’s hideous jumpsuit Keri Hilson couldn’t do any worse.

She looked stunning wearing a sexy - yet not trashy -black plunging Charlotte Ronson Fall 2009 jumpsuit with embellished wide shoulders.

Davidelfin showed for the first time in Bryant Park this week. Amerie attended the show and obviously became a instant fan of the collection.

Best Use Of Colour Award
Whilst a lot of stars opted for black Amerie brought a burst of colour to the red carpet, wearing an aqua Davidelfin Spring 2010 mini dress which was just off the runway.

She paired her caped dress with black pigalles and an ankle accessory.

Most Predictable Award
I knew Alexa Chung was going to walk this red carpet wearing a cute dress with ankle boots. She didn’t let me down.

I hate the boots, but I can’t deny how cute her Luella Fall 2007 dress is.

Best High-Street Award
Lauren Bosworth’s may have only spent $268 on her black and white embroidered French Connection Damask dress but it was one of the best on this red carpet.

Neither Hate It, Nor Love It Award
I’m not a fan of Lady GaGa’s style by many means, but this was one of her finer moments.  Mostly because she was not exposing her derrière.

Her look was very theatrical with her gold Phantom of the Opera mask, tilted hat and feathered neck brace.

Under all that was a Jean Paul Gaultier black gown.

Most Predictable Award
Their would’ve been no prizes for guessing that Beyonce Knowles would have worn Balmain to this event, as she’s worn so many Balmain pieces both on and off the red carpet.

She did pick a very colourful interesting piece with a swirling sequin pattern and a jagged hem.

I love the dress and the playful hoop earrings, but the hair I’m not fond of.

Worst Re-Run Award
Letoya Luckett wore a lace, crystal embellished, zipper dress from the Balmain Fall 2008 dress which we’ve already seen on the red carpet.

She looks good in the dress, but those clunky gold Alejandro Ingelmo clown heels just ruin the look.

Sticky But Sweet Award
Leather on a hot sunny day?

I’m getting hot just looking at Ciara, but her ruched maroon leather Cynthia Steffe Fall 2009 dress does look amazing on her, plus I love the ruffled detail.

The singer kept both her accessories and make-up light and neutral.

Best Dressed Award
Alicia Keys really stood out in her Moroccan inspired embellished mini Jenny Packham dress, and her larger-than-life curly ‘do.

The singer completed her look with Christian Louboutin Spartenvol Strass 100 sandals and a matching nude clutch.

Best Minimalist Award
Whilst everyone seemed to be opting for lavish embellished pieces, Zoe Saldana looked stunning wearing a white one-sleeved Calvin Klein dress with a cut-out detail on the hip and a daring slash to the thigh.

Brian Atwood heels completed the look.

Most Ridiculous Award
In the attempt to grab headlines Melody Thornton comes of looking ridiculous in her Alexander McQueen dress.

This ombre fringed dress with a nude body-stocking would be great as a stage costume, but on the red carpet it just doesn’t work.

The asymmetrical fringed details don’t cover enough of the body-stocking leaving her exposed.

She really didn’t think her look through.

Most Safe Award
I’m really not liking Taraji P. Henson mullet, but I do love the elegant black Kaufman Franco one-sleeved gown with leather strapped detail on the back.

The unfortunately thing here is that the backless nature of the gown reveals her lower back tattoo.

I would’ve preferred her to wear something funkier for this occasion.

Trying WAY Too Hard Award
Cassie used to be so sweet, so this harder image to rival Rihanna just doesn’t work for me.

It’s so false from the hair cut to the peek-a-boo Mark Fast knit dress to the Giuseppe Zanotti fold-over booties

Screams wannabee.

Best Super Hero Award
Singer Keri Hilson channels her inner Wonder Woman wearing a black bustier dress adorned with multi-coloured stars and other interesting shapes.

Her look was a little more risky than the others which made her stand out.

She could have easily over done her look with lots of bling, but she knows her statement dress should do all the talking.

Casadei black satin pumps completes this look.

Best Heels Award
Amerie opted for a LWD with Alexander McQueen peep-toe booties.

Best Homage Award
Estelle paid homage to the late Michael Jackson by wearing a single white glove with her denim tiered Acne baroque peplum dress.

I love the cute nature of this dress with the contrasting silver spiked earrings.

Just OK Award
Actress Keke Palmer wore an embellished dress with sparkled in the LA sunshine.

Most Original Award
Tyra Banks could have been predictable and worn  Balmain or slinky dress instead she tired something new wearing a menswear-inspired satin ensemble.

I wouldn’t have thought Tyra could pull off an androgynous look but she totally works it.

Her look includes midnight blue satin skinny pants, a dove grey vest and satin pussy bow blouse, with suede Trib Two pumps.

Neutral make up and simply styled hair make this look work.

These R&B singers all known by one name.

They are now also known for all wearing the same Elizabeth & James Plume Feather Vest within 2 weeks.

Rihanna first wore the black feathered vest while shopping with her beau Chris Brown in LA earlier this month, with black jeans, a white vest and Christian Louboutin heels.

Cassie was spotted wearing the feathered vest last week at Vibe Magazine’s 15th anniversary party, sans top and with latex leggings.

Amerie wore the same feathered vest on Saturday night, when she attended the Hot In Hollywood event in LA, with black pants, and over-the-knee Gucci boots.

I would love to dare to wear this vest like Cassie, and I think she wore it best, so she wins for me.

You can buy this vest from Intermix in both white and black for $595.

Katherine Heigl looks to have returned from a very hot summer vacation, as she is very tanned, or she has had a heavy application of St Tropez. I will assume the latter.

Some people like to wear white when showing off a glowing tan, but Katherine opted for this nude/charcoal Diane von Furstenberg Pre-Fall 2008 dress.

The dress had a silk nude bodice, and a charcoal wool pencil skirt, in what is a sophisticated mix of fabrics and tones.

She accessorized with graduated pair of drop earrings, nude pumps, and a black diamond embellished Mary Norton clutch.

America Ferrera shows off more conservative side, in this emerald green taffeta cocktail dress with a full skirt. This dress very much has a vintage, 50s feel to it.

She completed her look with the very popular Christian Louboutin Very Noeud slingbacks.

Ana Ortiz’ Rachel Roy Fall 2008 dress is an interesting mix of colours and textures.

Her two-in-one dress has a black/nude abstract print top, a red/black woven skirt and a ruched black waistband.

I adore this dress. The colours suit Ana’s skin tone perfectly, and I have already added this dress to my Wish List.

She completes her look with a pair of black satin heels, and a black jeweled clutch.

Emily Deschanel was fashionably dressed in a purple wrap dress with short puffy sleeves, a a matching belt, which she accessorized her dress with black peep-toe pumps.

Her hair was loose and wavy, whilst she kept her make-up light.

Amerie does not read fashion blogs, because she is now the third person in 2 weeks to wear this Elizabeth & James Plume Feather Vest.

The singer spices up her Olsen creation with black pants, a pale pink v-neck top, black leather over-the-knee Gucci Fall 2008 boots and a Gucci ‘Hysteria’ tapestry bag.

“Hancock” Premiere, Paris

Charlize Theron looked every inch the red carpet superstar she is, in this white bubble skirted dress from the Christian Dior Fall 2008 collection.

The actress teamed her dress with a sexy pair of leopard print heels and a mint green clutch.

Perfection personified and she does not even look like she is trying.

Eva Longoria was also in attendance wearing a black embellished Chanel Pre-Fall 2008 dress with black heels.

This is a very chic understated look for Eva. I guess her the style and elegance of her second home is rubbing off on her.

“Get Smart” Premiere, LA

I love this strapless silver metallic Bill Blass Fall 2008 dress on Anne Hathaway.

Anne loves mixing it up at the moment, going from long elegant gowns, to edgier looks like this. I love the contrast, and the fact that she no longer feels the need to play it safe.

The silk eyelash skirt is stunning.

I love the colour of this strapless bubble hemmed dress on Jenna Fischer, but other than that the dress is just OK.

I wish she had worn a nice silver strappy sandal.

67th Annual Peabody Awards, New York

Heidi Klum is incredibly beautiful and statuesque in this RM for Roland Mouret Fall 2008 white structured dress.

I love the silhouette this sheath dress gives her and the strong detailing thought-out.

My only problem is with the shoes. The dress appeared on the runway with these shoes, but I would have preferred Heidi to have worn something not so heavy and clunky looking.

MTV TRL, New York

The adorable Taylor Swift arrived at a taping of MTV’s TRL wearing a white one-shouldered ruffled detailed Laila Azhar sheath dress with silver peep-toes.

“Mad Men” Season 2 Private Preview Screening, New York

Unless you have the style of Chloë Sevigny or Christina Ricci the Miu Miu Spring 2008 collection was not made for you.

January Jones please take note.

Nanette Lepore and Kerry Washington Host “Fashion Votes”, LA

Kerry Washington keeps it simple in a powder blue embroidered Nanette Lepore dress with a slit to the thigh.

Perrey Reeves goes for high glamour in a black shimmering, jeweled detailed Nanette Lepore Fall 2008 cocktail dress with a lace overlay.

Amerie works her Chanel classic flap bag with a cerulean blue shirt dress and animal print heels.

36th Lifetime Life Achievement Award Presented to Warren Beatty, LA

Eva Mendes wore a navy corduroy strapless dress to this event.

Corduroy is not a material we see a lot on the red carpet, in fact I can’t remember when I last saw anyone wear corduroy on the red carpet.

This dress is just OK for me. I much prefer Eva in brighter colours.

Amerie attended this event in a beautiful ivory plunge-neck Georges Chakra Fall 2007 gown, which is gathered at the hem.

ELLE Awards, Barcelona

Monica Cruz sizzles in this Elie Saab Spring 2007 beaded plunging gold gown, but Beyonce wore this dress better in my opinion.

Amber Valletta is shimmering in this cowl-neck sequined Stella McCartney gown.

Golden Nymph Awards, 2008 Monte Carlo Television Festival, Monaco

I like the idea of Becki Newton’s emerald green Rami Kashou Fall 2007 Grecian dress. I just wish she had adjusted it better as it looks a little off center.

Kim Kardashian for once does not look like a streetwalker wearing this navy blue Emanuel Ungaro gown with beaded turquoise straps and a chiffon train.

Lisa Edelstein also opted for a navy dress. Hers was a strapless pleated dress, which gathered at the hip with a jeweled brooch.

Opening of Beckley Boutique, LA

Ana Ortiz lets her hair down at this opening wearing a maroon body-hugging dress with a crossover detail on the front.

Eva La Rue keeps it simple in a white smock dress, with a matching tote and nude sandals.

Sarah Chalke wore all black, but her dress had ivory stripes for detail.

“The Rocker” Screening, Las Vegas

Cutey Emma Stone wore a turquoise Jay Godfrey strapless dress with a tonal ruffled trim, which she wore with gold peep-toes and a gold clutch.

“We Are Together” Premiere, New York

An overly moisturized Alicia Keys, wore this metallic sweetheart necklined dress with very large hooped earrings.

I am in love with the designer Hervé Léger at the moment. Tracey Edmonds looks fabulous in his design.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This is refreshingly light and beautiful from Rihanna also wearing Hervé Léger. She has been looking very hard lately, but this is really sweet.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

What an entrance. Diana Ross let’s everyone know she has arrived in this beautiful red gown.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

You would not expect Beyonce to attend an event in anything let than spectacular, which is why she wore this jaw dropping Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2007 dress.

She did not make the same rookie mistake Rosario Dawson made when she wore the same dress after Gisele Bündchen, nor did she choose the highly publicized Naomi Campbell dress. She wore a dress that would not draw any comparisons.

I am very thankful that she did not wear any of her mother’s tacky designs.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Kelly Rowland looks surprisingly good. I was so sure her and Beyonce would be on my Worst Dressed list.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Michelle Williams, forever the bridesmaid. If we cared to notice her we would have seen how incredibly skinny she is. She is going to give Nicole Richie a complex if she gets any skinnier.

She does look cute though in this Elie Saab Fall 2007 dress, shame about the boney arm.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Solange Knowles is another surprise. She looks fab it the strapless mini dress, although I am not sure about the shoes. Strappy silver stiletto’s would have perfected this outfit

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

What a beautiful Monique Lhuillier Spring 2007 dress. It is a shame Alicia Keys’ deodorant had run out.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I love Ciara’s hair. It looks like I have found my next style as the Pob is so over. Once Jenna Jameson wears the same style as you, it’s time for a change.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

From the back, to the side, to front, Selita Ebanks is perfection.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Amerie looks stunning in this Versace Spring 2007 dress.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I love this dress although it does look a little loose around the top half on Ashanti.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Queen Latifah reins supreme in this white gown.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Lil’ Kim was a dead cert for my worst dress list, but look, not a nipple or any type of exposure in sight. I am truly floored that Lil’ Kim could pull off demure. She almost looks pretty. ALMOST.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Very cute from Jordin Sparks wearing Diane von Furstenberg. I just can’t wait for her to acquire an underserved diva attitude.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Speaking about diva’s with attitude here is Jennifer Hudson. I was surprised not to see a sequin in sight on her dress. Very cute dress. I would wear this Michael Kors dress.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I do like the colours on Eva Pigford’s dress, although I am not crazy about the hair.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This is Lauren London. Now I don’t know who she is either but I just love the colour of this dress.
