Amber Tamblyn attended the “Whitney Museum Annual Art Party and Auction” in New York last month looking cute wearing a black and white Alice + Olivia fan dress.

The actress accessorized with black tights, a black clutch and YSL Trib Two’s.

Khloe Kardashian wore the same two-tone dress when she attended the “Three-O Bubble Vodka Launch Party” in New York last week.

For some crazy reason Khloe tried to individualize her dress by not wearing the black belt that comes with the dress.

As much as she tried to save her look with a stunning pair of Giuseppe Zanotti open-toe booties, she looks terrible.

The dress has no shape without the belt so it just looks like material wrapped around her body.

Amber wins for me even with her tights.

This Alice + Olivia dress is available to purchase from Net-A-Porter US for $367.  Net-A-Porter International for £340/€417 and Shopbop.com for $367.

Ali Larter looks very sexy in her white printed Herve Leger Fall 2009 mini dress with a plunging neckline and padded shoulders.

Ali tried to diffuse the uber sexiness of this dress by adding a stunning statement necklace by Erickson Beamon with a large orange pendent.

Love the dress, hate the heels.

They’re so clunky for this dress, plus I would have preferred a taupe strappy sandal.

A Nancy Gonzalez gold clutch completed her look.

Alexis Bledel also wore a plunging neckline Herve Leger Fall 2009 bandage dress. Hers was in chocolate brown with shimmering gold panels.

Alexis always seems quite shy so I’m really shocked that she’s wearing such a sexy piece and without the runway blazer.

She completed her look with a sparkling Judith Leiber clutch and pewter Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Lake Bell opted for a futuristic look wearing a red BCBG Max Azria Resort 2010 dress with grey embroidered details which is a cross between Star Trek and Spidergirl.

She wore her dress with silver sandals and a lemon Herve Leger Spring 2009 clutch.

The dress will grow on me, but the shoes and the clutch. No.

I really wish Maggie Grace hadn’t held her clutch so close to her skirt because I love the tulip shape on the skirt of this teal blue Christian Siriano Fall 2009 asymmetrical dress.

I’m glad Maggie opted for something we haven’t seen from Christian Siriano, as I’m so tired of seeing the same dresses in various colours.

Maggie is looking fantastic lately which makes me ask the question. Does she have a new stylist?

Her look was complete with Christian Louboutin Carnaval heels with a leafy embellishment at the rear.

Hilary Rhoda looked sexy but sweet wearing a pale blue Max Azria Spring 2009 plunging draped toga dress.

Silver sandals were the perfect complement.

The red carpet always lights up when Camilla Belle graces it with her presence.

Wearing a green one-shouldered Max Azria Resort 2010 dress with ruffles cascading from the shoulder the actress looked simply gorgeous with seemingly not much effort.

Amber Tamblyn wore a black and white Alice + Olivia fan dress, which I blogged about recently, saying it looked very much like the Gianfranco Ferré dress Anne Hathaway wore to the Critics Choice Awards.

I would have really liked this look if it wasn’t for the tights.

Yes I know I go on about disliking tights so much, but it’s a real bug-bear of mine. You all must have something that you really dislike too.

Max Azria’s BFF Melissa George was of course at this MaxAriza event.

The actress wore a white haltered Herve Leger Resort 2010 bandage dress with matching heels, a gold clutch and a gold stack of Samantha Wills bangles.

As much as I want to say I don’t like it, Melissa really makes it work surprisingly.

Selita Ebanks is such a pretty woman so I’m dumbfounded as to why she opted for so much make-up.

It really takes so much away from her natural beauty.

What a magnificent way to start the week, with an amazing burst of colour.

Michelle Obama wore a Michael Kors magenta wool crepe gown, with an exquisite necklace, which had a magenta matching floral piece.

This is the second time within a week, Mrs. Obama has worn Michael Kors. The black gown she wore to the TIME 100 Gala last Tuesday in New York, was also by the American designer.

Kerry Washington arrived wearing a navy blue pleated J.Mendel Fall 2009 strapless gown, with stunning gold accessories.

The gown had a tiered peplum at the waist, and a mermaid hem.

I don’t think this is the most flattering dress for Kerry – especially from the long shot – but she still makes it work.

This taupe one-shouldered Versace Pre-Fall 2009 gown is simply gorgeous, as it skims the well toned body of Demi Moore.

Her look was complete with a matching Roger Vivier clutch, with sparkles with the embellished details on her gown.

Katie Holmes opted an ivory ensemble, including a blazer, satin top, and full-length skirt, from her co-designed Holmes-Yang collection.

Her event appropriate look was accented with gold Boucheron accessories.

Eva Longoria wore a frothy gown, with tiny spaghetti straps in this seasons hottest colour -nude.

The Ports 1961 gown is outstanding, but it feels like it’s completely swamping Eva’s tiny frame.

Mariska Hargitay wore an off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera Spring 2009 black, white and grey lace chiffon gown, covered in floral appliqués.

Her sweeping updo, gave this gown the final touch of elegance, to complete this perfect look.

Alicia Keys wore a black and white Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2009 cocktail dress, with the signature black criss cross detail on the bodice.

Alicia lets the dress speak for itself, by only adding a black clutch to complete her look.

Amber Tamblyn would have been the center of attraction, wearing a vivid red Carolina Herrera Spring 2009 gown.

I love the way the ruffles cascade down the gown, plus the ruby drop earrings, but she lets herself down with her hair.

Natalie Portman wore a very interesting black Balenciaga Fall 2004 halter-neck gown.

The halter part is attached to the rest of the dress with 2 very thin straps.

Keisha Whitaker arrived with her husband Forest Whitaker, also wearing a vivid red gown, from the Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2009 collection.

Rashida Jones wore a LBD with flutter sleeves, and a ruffled detail going across the skirt.

She completes her look with a silver jewels, and Manolo Blahnik Pepe sandals.

Say what you want about Donatella Versace, for me she’s always impeccable.

This outstanding paillette covered nude self designed halter gown, is case in point. Already a contender for Best Dressed Of The Week.

Elizabeth Banks opted for a very subtle, understated look, wearing a teal one-shouldered Alberta Ferretti gown, accented with a silver bejeweled belt, which matched her leaf earrings and box clutch.

Tyra Banks’ look was too office chic for me. In a room full of luscious gowns, I expected much more from her.

I will say that her hair is a huge improvement from the Met Gala last week.

Glenn Close was so graceful wearing a white Giorgio Armani Spring 2005 gown, covered with black Asian text.

Wanda Sykes was one of the guest speakers of the night. She arrived in a navy blue silk suit, and her trademark hairstyle.

She had the guests rolling on the floor with laughter with her risky jokes. You can watch the video’s here.

I was really loving Ciara’s look until I saw the red gloves !?!?

I have often wondered what to pair with this grey 3.1 Phillip Lim layered ruffle skirt, as I must preferred the dress version.

Ciara did well here, with the ivory blouse and black leather jacket, but again, why oh why did she wear those gloves??

Here is 15 year old Taylor Momsen attending another party in New York last night.

She changed – not for the better – into a silk mint green dress, with a lace cardigan and black pants.

In a recent interview, Taylor revealed that she doesn’t have a stylist. I suggest she hires one immediately, as this look isn’t fooling anyone.

Adrienne Bailon wears a red strapless dress, with a large bow detail on the hip. Although she looks good, this is a look we’ve seen a hundred times on her.

Hopefully she steps out of her comfort zone at some point in the future.

Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel posed on the red carpet together.

Alexis was in her preferred casual non-fussy style, whereas Amber wears a grey knit dress, and a black cropped jacket with some red accessories to punch up her look.

Lydia Hearst wears a silver Blonds Spring 2009 corseted dress.

You may recognise this dress from the artwork within Britney Spears Circus CD.

“What Happens In Vegas” Premiere, Japan

Cameron Diaz looks gorgeous, and very much on the LWD trend wearing a white pleated bubble hemmed mini dress by Fendi.

I love the gold touches, which are on her belt, her ruffled collar, and her gold Neil Lane jewels.

The actress had her hair casually tied back in a bun, and she completed her look with Sergio Rossi shoes, and a fan to keep her cool.

Demi Moore accompanied her husband down the red carpet wearing a Lanvin Fall 2008 dress, which has a tiered steel grey skirt and a satin asymmetric tiered navy top, with a sheer-panel and sheer straps.

Demi completes her look with a pair of white pointy heels.

Do you think Demi was there to chaperone her husband? To make sure there were no pda’s on the red carpet ala Charlize Theron and Will Smith when they promoted Hancock?

“Vicky Cristina Barcelona” Premiere, New York

Penelope Cruz sparkled in her Marchesa Fall 2008 ensemble which consisted of a strapless embellished dress with a feathered hem, under a sequined tuxedo jacket with satin lapels.

The actress with minimal make-up, completed her look with a pair of peep-toe heels, and a gold trimmed black clutch.

Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, was also in attendance to marvel at the film and also her ensemble on Penelope Cruz.

Of course Georgina is in her own design, but for once the Runway Regina is wearing a dress that she custom-made.

Maybe she read my blog on her always wearing her designs straight off the runway.

OK the hair and make-up might be a little off, but there is no denying how fantastic Zoe Kravitz looks in this 70s vintage Givenchy Haute Couture halter-neck black and red printed dress.

MTV TRL, New York

Blake Lively is steadily becoming my favourite Gossip Girl again, wearing this cute Vena Cava Resort 2009 printed playsuit with Christian Louboutin pumps.

She is again carrying the bag I have fallen in love with, the Miu Miu bowler bag.

America Ferrera was laid back, but still chic in her grey jeans and printed top.

Alexis Bledel is very much the shy one of the group, so she let her feet do the talking by wearing a lust-worthy pair of Jimmy Choo’s.

Amber Tamblyn’s legs were further accentuated in her short shorts, by wearing her favourite Christian Louboutin Altadama astrakhan platforms.

I never realised her legs were so long.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Penelope Cruz is sure working hard to promote this film.

The actress arrived at Letterman wearing a black knitted top with a black and white floral printed Oscar de la Renta Resort 2009 skirt.

For me this is her best look of the day.

After her appearance on Letterman, Penelope left the studio wearing a black one-shouldered Oscar de la Renta Resort 2009 dress, with a large bow on the shoulder.

Yesterday the stars of The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants 2 appeared on Good Morning America to promote their movie and reveal a few secrets about each other.

Blake Lively arrived wearing a halter-neck white top with an elasticized waist, with a pair of dark blue wash wide-legged jeans paired with grey cork platforms.

She accessorized with a selection of turquoise necklaces, and carried the same Miu Miu Fall 2008 bag, which appears in the ad campaign fronted by Vanessa Paradis.

Amber Tamblyn was the epitome of summer chic wearing an Oscar de la Renta Resort 2009 lemon and white cotton print dress with a cork buckled leather belt.

She accessorized with a pair of Christian Louboutin Altadama astrakhan platforms, and gold drop earrings.

America Ferrera was typically neutral wearing a tan taffeta wrap Burberry dress, which tied in a side bow on the waist.

She accessorized with tawny peep-toes pumps, a gold pendant and carried a chocolate brown YSL Downtown tote.

I could not find a good picture of Alexis Bledel, but she also appeared on the show wearing a black dress under a purple belted cardigan.

The film opens in the US on August 9.

If you missed the interview, you can watch the girls giggly appearance above.

As I have not seen the first film, I was curious to see how the stars looked for the first premiere.

The picture on the left is of the four girls at the premiere of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants back in 2005, whereas the picture on the right, is from last weeks The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 premiere.

It was Blake Lively’s first red carpet premiere, and it’s ironic that she wore orange again to the premiere of the sequel. I wonder if that was intentional or pure coincidence?

All of the actresses have changed a lot since the first premiere.

America is more tanned and slimmer, Alexis is not as pale, Amber appears more poised, and Blake is so much more polished and glossy.
