Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Least Flattering Award
It looks like Amber Riley still hasn’t recovered from her Grammy’s disaster, because she continues to make strange choices on the red carpet.

This weekend at the 2011 NAACP Image Awards she wore a Jennifer Salzman strapless bustier gown.

The colour is pretty, but I don’t get the tiered frill around the waist.

I’m guessing the intention was to take focus away from the hips, but I think it actually does the opposite because that is all I can focus on.

I hope Amber regains her mojo, because it’s has be M.I.A. for a while now.

Chopard jewels completed her look.

Jayma Mays attended the 2011 SAG Awards last night with her ‘Glee’ co-stars.

She was my favourite as she looked stunning wearing a Jenny Packham Spring 2011 peach silk chiffon draped gown with a beaded sleeve.

Jimmy Choo ‘Glamour’ sandals and a Swarovski ‘Orfevre’ jeweled box clutch completed her look.

Jane Lynch opted for an Ali Rahimi dress which she teamed with a Swarovski purple velvet crystal ‘Power’ clutch.

I love the lilac colour on her, but I wish her gown didn’t have that extra tier.

Heather Morris looked ethereal wearing a Romona Keveza blush silk chiffon strapless gown with rosette bodice.

She accessorized with a Swarovski crystal ‘Dream’ box clutch. Read more…

The girls from ‘Glee’ are always well dressed, so this post is dedicated to their gorgeous looks on the red carpet at last night’s 2011 Golden Globe Awards.

Jayma Mays wore a stunning Alberta Ferretti black plunging v-neck gown with a matching sequined clutch.

I loved how she evoked old Hollywood glamour, but the red lippie was a tad too much for my liking.

Jenna Ushkowitz looked radiant wearing a custom Rebecca Taylor gown.

The petrol blue gown had a tiered ruffled skirt and was accented with a bejeweled belt.

I’m loving her voluminous waves.

Dianna Agron wore a J. Mendel beige silk chiffon pleated beaded strapless gown with peplum.

Her soft sophisticated look was paired with Cathy Waterman jewels and a gold Salvatore Ferragamo minaudière.

Naya Rivera and Jayma Mays wore very different silhouettes to the 2010 Teen Choice Awards.

Naya, who was one of my favourites on the night, wore a gorgeous strapless vintage dress with an A-line silhouette.

I love the ruffled neckline, the print, the volume in her skirt and her nude pumps – which I’ll take over black any day.

Jayma opted for a fitted yellow pleated dress.

Her bronzed Raven Kauffman Couture clutch and matching belt contrasted nicely with her dress.

Brian Atwood gold ‘Perry’ pumps completed the look.

Jenna Ushkowitz opted for a champagne silk chiffon Tadashi Shoji Spring 2010 dress with illusion beaded lace insets.

Unfortunately Jenna’s choice of accessories make this look a tad boring for me.

Amber Riley stood out in her fuschia pink dress.

I love the colour, but the fit under the bust ruins this look.

Lea Michele attended the “Glee” Academy Event in LA this week wearing a Reem Acra Resort 2011 dress.

Her stunning off-the-shoulder taupe and gold leaf print chiffon cocktail dress was paired with matching Casadei shoes.

She really gives this dress so much personality. It’s kinda blah on the model.

I’m glad she’s finally managed to get her bangs under control.  The sweeping style is better suited.

Jenna Ushkowitz walked the carpet wearing a cute Tadashi Shoji Spring 2010 dress.

The “Glee” actress looked gorgeous in a slate blue one shoulder draped dress with she paired with suede grey peep-toes.

Amber Riley wore a gorgeous yet simple summery LWD.

A gold belt and rose suede peep-toes were the perfect complements for this look.

Jayma Hayes wore a body-conscious grey Elie Saab dress with Jimmy Choo ‘Quiet’ platforms.

For me this look isn’t quite summery for such a ‘Glee-ful’ occasion in July.

It amazing how all grown-up Lea, Jenna and Amber look.

Their style has really evolved on the red carpet in such a short space of time.

I hate to be predictable but Lea is my favourite here.

As promised here are the rest of the looks from the 9th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball.

As always Sophia Bush is giving me an A-list look.

The “One Tree Hill” actress looked breath-taking wearing a Lorena Sarbu gown.

The nude flutter sleeve beaded gown delicately caresses her curves, as she teams her look with a Judith Leiber gold clutch and stunning gold earrings.

Jessica Stroup opted for a black Azzaro gown with an exquisite beaded neckline.

With her hair piled up high Mila Kunis wore a dove grey RM by Roland Mouret Bora dress with Brian Atwood Marlo pumps.

I love the ruffled detail on her skirt.

New mom Rebecca Gayheart radiates in a Catherine Malandrino print asymmetrical gown with side draping.

Amber Riley would have stood out in a sea of nude and dove grey wearing a red strapless Dalia MacPhee Fall 2009 gown with a cascading ruffle skirt.

Maria Menounos wore the Alice + Olivia sequined bodice strapless dress which is becoming very popular with celebrities.

I love her silver strappy sandals.

Sporting lighter locks Ashley Greene looked gorgeous wearing a Lela Rose Fall 2010 pearl-beaded shift dress paired with Loewe bow clutch and dove grey heels.
