The WGSN Global Fashion Awards

The WGSN Global Fashion Awards

The WGSN Global Fashion Awards, which recognise achievement in fashion and retail design on an international scale, took place at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London yesterday evening.

Winners on the night included Erdem Moralio?lu (Womenswear Designer), Acne (Menswear Design Team), Nicholas Kirkwood (Accessories and Footwear Designer) and Topshop (Best Multi-Channel Retailer).

Laura Whitmore: The Irish TV presenter wore a feather-festooned Nicholas Oakwell Spring 2012 Couture white-collared frock accented with a silver belt and silver pumps, opting to mix metals with a gold clutch which looked like it weighed a ton. You may remember that Tali Lennox wore this same dress back in May 2012.

Ella Catliff: ‘La Petite Anglaise’ blogger, and my seat mate for the evening, Ella wore a Nanette Lepore ‘Spaceship’ dress with a stunning vibrant floral print with leather insets. Not afraid to mix prints, she added a leopard-print clutch to her look. Loved that matte-red lip.

Amber Le Bon: The model wowed in an Ermanno Scervino white embroidered gown with a floor-sweeping train which couldn’t have been a more fitting look for the elegant model. With her hair teased into a top knot to showcase those dazzling earrings, she styled the rest of her look with a white Stark clutch with gold hardware and a dark manicure.

Amber Le Bon In Christopher Kane – 2012 British Fashion Awards

Amber Le Bon joined many other fashionable folks on the red carpet at the 2012 British Fashion Awards held at the Savoy Hotel in London yesterday evening.

She wore a Christopher Kane Resort 2013 look.

In the look book, the ensemble consists of a rose-nude corseted bandeau with a matching princess skirt, but Amber’s look appears to be a dress.

The model, who is the spitting image of her supermodel mother, styled her look with a selection of ethnic jewelry and nude strappy sandals, with an emerald-green satin clutch providing a pop of colour.

Nude lips and long ombre tresses completed her look.

Who Wore Peter Pilotto Better? Amber Le Bon or Alesha Dixon

Amber Le Bon was one of your best dressed at the 2011 British Fashion Awards which took place in London back in November last year.

The model wore a Peter Pilotto compass printed cotton-blend dress from the Resort 2012 collection with nude pumps and a matching clutch.

She wore her hair back and opted for kohl-rimmed eyes and a nude lip colour.

Alesha Dixon finds herself on yet another WWIB? poll.

On day two of the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ auditions she wore the same dress and also opted for nude pumps.
It’s really hard to pick a winner and there isn’t much difference.

I eventually went for Amber as she wore her hair back to show off the racer-front neckline.

2011 British Fashion Awards Red Carpet Up

Here are the rest of the stars who attended the 2011 British Fashion Awards.

Kristen McMenamy: The American model wore an ice-white Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 organza pearl embroidered dress to go with her ice-white hair.  Her matching McQueen accessories included a filigree skull clutch, python boots and fur scarf.

Stella McCartney: The designer was, of course, in a look from her recent Spring 2012 collection. Her printed jumpsuit epitomizes her chic, laidback style of dressing. Iron-straight hair and black sandals provided the finishing touches.

Caroline Sieber: Like Alexa Chung, the stylist also wore a look from the Christopher Kane Spring 2012 collection. Her iridescent plunging floral-print mini dress was unimaginatively paired with black pumps.

Amber le Bon In Jonathan Saunders – Diesel Fragrance Launch Party

Amber le Bon attended the Diesel “Loverdose” Fragrance Launch Party held at The Box Soho in London last night.

The gorgeous model chose a wine-coloured Jonathan Saunders Fall 2011 V-neck dress with a black sequinned front panel.

She accessorized her chic dress with matching peep-toe heels and an assortment of bracelets on each wrist.

I love this dress on Amber as she kept her look youthful by adding bold pink streaks to her hair, a trend that continues to grow.

The only thing I would change is the heavy eye makeup.
