Allison Williams In Geoffrey Beene - 7th Annual Exploring The Arts Gala

Allison Williams attended the 7th annual Exploring the Arts Gala held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City yesterday evening.

We have been crying out for something new other than the fit-and-flare uptown-girl dresses she tends to favour, so I’m delighted to see her in this Geoffrey Beene vintage frock styled with Fred Leighton jewels and black Louboutin pumps.

While I do wish her black-and-cream halter dress had a more defined waist I find myself applauding this look.

Not only did she switch up her dress, she also sported a sleek bun with strong brows Lily Collins would be proud of, and vampy black eyeliner executing her baby blues.

Refreshing change or ‘be careful what you wish for’?

Allison Williams In Ralph Lauren - 2013 Emmy Awards

As opposed to her ‘Girls’ co-stars Zosia Mamet and Lena Dunham, Allison Williams kept her sartorial approach far more chic and effortless at the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California.

The actress dazzled simply by way of colour in her one-of-a-kind Ralph Lauren Spring 2014 strapless corset gown that fit her like a glove.

The deep cerulean-blue hue was definitely the star of the show, but she did add a few Fred Leighton jewels, including a giant pink gemstone cocktail ring and gold bracelet cuffs.

While Allison called her vampy black Roger Vivier stilettos ‘menacing’ when interviewed on the red carpet, her tousled, long waves and blush-nude lip were more on the girly side.

Allison Williams In Oscar de la Renta - BAFTA LA TV Tea 2013

Allison Williams attended the BAFTA LA TV Tea Party presented by BBC America and Audi held at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, California yesterday evening.

The actress’ Oscar de la Renta Spring 2014 pretty floral frock couldn’t be more appropriate for a British Tea Party.

Jacob & Co. jewels and metallic fuchsia-pink Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps added some pizazz to the look, but the most shocking thing here is the braid.

Long has she modelled her hair in the same simple straight and slightly teased style (a la Duchess of Cambridge) so this is a big step for her.

Allison Williams In Chloé - The Hollywood Reporter’s Emmy Party

Allison Williams joined Julianne Hough and Cat Deeley at The Hollywood Reporter’s Emmy Nominees Night party, hosted at SoHo House in Los Angeles, California yesterday.

The ‘Girls’ actress wore a Chloé Fall 2013 black dress and two-tone, T-strap wedge heels from the label’s Resort 2014 collection.

At first glance, this may have seemed to just be a standard-issue LBD. But upon closer inspection, the frock revealed its more interesting side, with a slightly cargo-inspired, asymmetrical shoulder detail, along with a panel skirt and a contrasting, waist-cinching belt.

Plus, Allison had some fun with her styling with gold earrings and bangles, not to mention statement nail art that highlighted her ‘Girls’ show on her ring fingers with a ballet-pink lacquer on the rest of her digits.

A soft, twisted-back updo and a light-blush lip added some fresh edge, as well.

Allison Williams In Oscar de la Renta - The Generation W October Issue Cocktail Party

Allison Williams was among the super-stylish set at The Generation W October Issue cocktail party, hosted in New York City last night.

For the occasion, where she posed with ‘W’ magazine editor Stefano Tonchi, the ‘Girls’ actress took a feminine stand in an indigo Oscar de la Renta Resort 2014 petite floral fil coupe silk gazar peplum dress.

The striking, exaggerated twist on the now-ubiquitous peplum silhouette and the colour really stood out here in a manner that was appropriately edgy, yet still with an unmissable glamour-girl sophistication.

Allison wore her brunette locks in long waves, whilst a blue-toned smokey eye complemented the saturated shade of the dress.

Toting a metallic clutch, she finished her look with a more subtle nude lippie and nude heels.

Allison Williams In Valentino - 2013 MTV Video Music Awards #VMAs

Alison Williams attended the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards hosted on Sunday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Wearing a romantic Valentino Fall 2013 ivory frock, the ‘Girls’ actress left the audaciousness to the other VMAs cool-kids, instead embracing the quietly elegant spirit of designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli’s collection.

The long-sleeve lace dress was intricately embroidered and embellished, lending a romantic touch to the stark lines and collar neck.

She accessorized with Paige Novick jewels, but those plain Bordeaux Christian Louboutin heels were a confusing letdown.

Allison Williams In Matthew Williamson & Missoni - 18th Annual Nantucket Film Festival2

Allison Williams attended the 18th Annual Nantucket Film Festival on Saturday in Nantucket, Massachusetts wearing two different frocks, one pair of pumps and one familiar hairstyle.

First up was a Matthew Williamson paneled floral brocade blue-and-green dress, with a red Missoni printed frock to follow.

The first look is very typical of Allison. I feel like I have seen her in this style of dress many times before.

The red pleated knit Missoni dress is far more interesting, mostly because it’s a step out of her floral-printed-sheath comfort zone.

While both looks are event appropriate, I would love to see Allison step out of her comfort zone every now and then.
