Allison Williams In Alexander McQueen - 'Girls' Season 3 London Premiere

Allison Williams joined Lena Dunham and Zosia Mamet for the UK premiere of ‘Girls’ Season 3 held at Cineworld Haymarket on Wednesday (January 15) in London.

With her co-stars opting for a cocktail dress and jumpsuit respectively, it’s fair to say that Allison is totally overdressed for the occasion.

Had the premiere been in Leicester Square for a movie this would’ve been perfect, but I feel that this Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 halter gown with a colourful embroidered neckline deserved a far grander occasion.

I will do a slight U-turn and say that Allison does look amazing in this gown.

That red lip was a perfect way to further enliven the embroidery on her frock, her body looks outstanding and I much prefer this look over the McQueen gown she wore to the Globes on Sunday, but I still feel like this was a terrible waste – especially when Alexander McQueen gowns are so few and far between on the red carpet.

71st Annual Golden Globe Awards - ArrivalsAt the Golden Globes, ‘Girls’ star Allison Williams cemented herself as a red carpet favorite. Her unique black-and-white Alexander McQueen gown was flattering and unique, and her makeup was stunning.

Avon’s Global Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Anderson created the glam look, and here’s how you can recreate it at home.

On Allison’s face, Lauren applied YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation, and then dusted on Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light. She defined her brows with Votre Vu Arch de Triumphe Brow Definer.

For the eyes, Lauren tightlined the upper and lower lids with Avon Glimmersticks Eye Liner in Blackest Black, and then she played up Allison’s blue eyes by creating a smokey eye with Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Urban Skyline, focusing the white shade (number 1) in the inner corners and the light gray (number 2) on the outer corners.

To finish the dramatic eyes, Lauren coated the lashes with Avon Mega Effects Mascara.

On the apples of Allison’s cheeks, Lauren swiped Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Rose Petal, and to complete the look, she used Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Ripe Rose (this colour will be available for purchase soon).

Allison Williams In Alexander McQueen - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

As we’re coming to expect from this young star, Allison Williams made a splash at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 12).

The ‘Girls’ star wore a dress from Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 and Jimmy Choo ‘Mariah’ sandals.

Allison has developed a signature style for herself, favoring clean lines and unusual details and this McQueen certainly fits the bill. Love it or hate it, the fuzzy, nautical, architectural top of this dress will have everyone talking tomorrow.

The smoky eye, slicked back hair and drop earrings pull the whole look together.

It’s a solid look for Allison, reinforcing her reputation as a rising fashionista not afraid to take risks.

Diane Von Furstenberg's Journey Of A Dress Exhibition 1The opening-party premiere of Diane Von Furstenberg’s ‘Journey of a Dress’ exhibition brought out a constellation of fashionable femmes (and fans) to preview the show at the Wilshire May Company Building in Los Angeles, California on Friday (January 10). Naturally, all the girls had on the best DVF designs.

Gwyneth Paltrow: Putting some sizzle into her strut, the actress vamped it up just a bit in a wrap jumpsuit, accented with a satin ribbon tie at the side. I found myself liking this sexy and streamlined approach from Gwynnie, especially with that magenta-pink lip. Yes, the plunge neckline is significant, but she’s perhaps one of the few that can make it work to her advantage.

Allison Williams: Looking as classically chic as ever, the ‘Girls’ starlet was oh-so-mod in a monochromatic ‘Amelia’ wrap dress with a flirty, graphic-patterned twirl skirt, from the Spring 2014 collection. She put a twist on the still-trending white pump with her Jimmy Choo ‘Madien’ pumps that were accented with a black ankle-strap and heel. Raising the girly look to a vintage-glam level, she styled her hair into a retro faux bob and painted on a deep-red lip.

Rooney Mara: The actress stayed in her black comfort zone in an asymmetrical dress topped off with a black satin ribbon. A tightly swept-back ‘do and oxblood lip added a more severe note to the loose frock—so, too, did the strange, one-shoulder jacket sleeve.

Allison Williams In Osman - Sean Penn 3rd Annual Help Haiti Home Gala

‘Girls’ actress Allison Williams made quite an impact at Sean Penn’s 3rd Annual Help Haiti Home Gala held at the Montage Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday night (January 11).

Not one to shy away from stand-out dresses, Allison once again opted for a daring dress, this time from British designer Osman.

The Fall 2103 dress is sure to split opinion but with a gold embroidered front panel and step hem it was understatedly quirky, and with Alison’s youthful and fun-loving natural style, she pulled it off with ease.

The metallic heels added a modern edge and made the look altogether young and cool while still ladylike.
