The crosshatch fabric with beading may not be as bold as some embellishment, but it drew the eye around the long-sleeved style while enhancing her statuesque beauty.

A coordinating clutch and Dena Kemp jewelry presented a harmonized finish.

2018 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Black was of course the shade of the night at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) with celebrities putting their own interpretations on the dress code.

Kelly Clarkson: The singer’s custom Christian Siriano gown will likely draw comparisons to Mary J. Blige’s Alberta Ferretti look because of the contrasting one sleeve. The dramatically full skirt on Kelly’s matched the joy of the shimmering gold fabric. The pockets were a delightful addition.

Allison Janney: The Best Supporting Actress winner’s Mario Dice dress was captivating with the sleek fluidity of the skirt contrasting the beautiful detailing of the bodice. This reinvigorated cut-outs.

29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Red Carpet Roundup

The 29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala has always been a nice way to easy us into the new year. Here’s a look at the other leading ladies who took to the red carpet last night (January 2).

Jessica Chastain: A sensual statement that marries sheer, crystal embroidered lace and silk sable was made by Jessica in this Givenchy Fall 2018 dress. Like any starter, this left me hungry for more.

Allison Janney: This Lela Rose look had me swooning. Such a high level of elegance and sophistication was being served up by Allison here. Easily one of the best on the night.

Holly Hunter: The actress was serving up a perfect example of how simple often works best in Christian Siriano with Chopard jewels from the ‘Ice Cube’ collection, while collecting her Career Achievement award.

Allison Janney In Rani Zakhem Couture – ‘I, Tonya’ LA Premiere

Allison Janney joined Margot Robbie at the ‘I, Tonya’ LA premiere on Tuesday (December 5).

The actress turned heads in a Rani Zakhem Fall 2017 Couture gown.

The fluid style recalled the licks of a flame with the golden hem creeping up the rich red fabric.

I applaud the ‘Mom’ star’s posing for showing off the cocoon shape of the dress. Had she not known how to enhance the style, its details might have gotten lost and come across as messy.

9th Annual Governors Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The long list of stars continued at the 9th Annual Governors Awards on Saturday (November 11) in Hollywood, California. Here, a look at the rest of the glamorous ensembles that graced the red carpet.

Jessica Chastain: Flame-red locks and a flame-red gown made for a perfected, fiery match in this Alexander McQueen gown that was topped off with even more elegantly sultry attitude in her red lip.

Kristen Wiig: I’m not sure this Galvan London Fall 2017 velvet gown photographed as well as it could have. But, I still liked her embrace of the daring plunge and the pairing of the Atelier Swarovski by Christopher Kane jewels and Djula diamond hoops.

Sarah Paulson: Channeling a gothic twist on glamour, Sarah showed off the darkly sophisticated side of Miu Miu with this embellished, bold-shoulder gown that was finished in similar mood with an oxblood lip and a Tyler Ellis clutch.

Allison Janney In Tony Ward – 2017 Emmy Awards

I was really disappointed by Allison Janney’s look at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17).

My immediately reaction was that I wished this Tony Ward Spring 2017 gown was in another colour.

It’s practically bordering on bridal; she can do some much better.

I love her in jewel tones. This is just unflattering.

Lorraine Schwartz jewels completed her look.

2017 Tony Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The glamour of the 2017 Tony Awards red carpet continued with a number of stars of stage and screen, who all converged in New York City on Sunday evening (June 11).

Denée Benton: The darling ingénue was dressed in an equally charming Oscar de la Renta Resort 2018 frock that turned over a chic new leaf with its whimsical flutter of embellished foliage. Styled with Oscar de la Renta ‘Romy’ sandals and Fred Leighton jewelry, the look was at the height of fresh sophistication and just so happened to coordinate with the rose and grass wall behind her. Such a stylish coincidence.

Condola Rashad: Making a dynamic entrance, Condola’s Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood Spring 2017 dress had the signature sculpted bodice and silhouette we’d expect. The impactful addition of the bold metallic and orange paneling, plus her sleek long ponytail, created a strong, modern look.

Patina Miller: Outfitting her baby bump in bright fuchsia pink, Patina wore a Roland Mouret that was precision fitted and formed to her, as we’d expect from the designer. A silver Judith Leiber clutch and Graziela Gems completed the look.
