Tory Burch and Glamour Celebrate ‘Women to Watch’ in Television

Tory Burch and Glamour hosted a ‘Women to Watch’ lunch on Friday (September 15) in Beverly Hills, California, with a number of talented Tory Burch-clad beauties in attendance.

America Ferrera: This Tory Burch ‘Gabby’ sweater and ‘Alisha’ skirt was so in keeping with America’s classic, feminine style. I love the impactful combination of black and red here—a lovely pairing with her newly highlighted, wavy bob.

Priyanka Chopra:
She may have not been wearing Tory Burch, but I was still in full favour of this Vivienne Westwood, which manifested the designer’s signature sexy draping in a thoroughly fresh, retro-mod way with the contrast belt and Jimmy Choo ‘Vanessa’ pumps.

Alison Brie: With so much graphic patterning happening in this eye-catching Tory Burch ‘Anja’ dress, I wonder if a more streamlined sandal might have polished the look off better than the Tory Burch ‘Loretta’ platform sandals. The ‘Juliette’ mini top-handle satchel fit right in, though.

Alison Brie In Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, Roland Mouret & Wolk Morais – 2017 Toronto Film Festival

Alison Brie has been a regular at the Toronto Film Festival, allowing her multiple opportunities to experiment with her feminine style. She attended the HFPA & InStyle Celebration on Saturday (September 9), followed by a trip to the IMDB Studio on Sunday (September 10). Then it was off to the ‘The Disaster Artist’ premiere on Monday (September 11).

HFPA & InStyle Celebration: While many brought out the sparkles and metallics, the actress charmed in a plaid Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Pre-Fall 2017 dress. Kurt Geiger ‘Hermione’ sandals elevated the ensemble for evening.

IMDB Studio: Experimenting with an athletic take on glamour, Alison opted for a Roland Mouret Spring 2017 skirt, styled simply with a black Wolford ‘Jamaika’ bodysuit and Stella Luna ‘Bandana’ sandals. I enjoyed the fresh take, but would have preferred to see this ensemble switched with the tartan mini.

‘The Disaster Artist’ Premiere: Finally, she walked the transitional line between summer and fall with a Wolk Morais Spring 2017 black velvet dress with thigh-skimming hemline. I appreciated the pared-down accessorizing to let the draping on the mini shine. Sadly, it can sometimes get lost in photos.

Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet Red Carpet Roundup

Elisabeth Moss wasn’t the only one in attendance at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet on Wednesday (August 2) in Beverly Hills, California, as more stars joined her on the red carpet.

Jenny Slate: Jenny has had an amazing run lately, so I had high expectations for this outing. Unfortunately, my hopes were dashed a bit with her presentation of this Etro outfit that was styled with metallic Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Penelope Pearl’ heels and Ileana Makri jewels. The top half was reminiscent of a bathrobe with her bra peeking through, and it seemed a clunky pairing to the diagonal stripes in the skirt below. Her bedhead hair and makeup also seemed to be mere afterthought.

Alison Brie: Alison’s fringed, metallic Thai Nguyen Atelier Pre-Fall 2017 dress presented as far more polished effect with plenty of sultry, modern flapper appeal. Eva Fehren jewelry and Jimmy Choo heels completed the look.

Aja Naomi King: There was nothing so significant about the silhouette of this effortless, boho-flowy Reformation dress, but its sunny, yellow colour was positively radiant on Aja.

Who Wore Bella Freud Better? Sarah Paulson or Alison Brie?

Bella Freud may be known for her cult sweaters, but both Sarah Paulson and Alison Brie loved her striking red hued mid dress.

Sarah wore her frock to the Television Academy’s reception for Emmy nominees with Charlotte Olympia accessories, while Alison opted for lighter accessories for Spring styling her look with a white clutch and Alexander White ‘Brianna’ mesh pumps.

The playfulness of Sarah’s pumps and her flame red lip win me over. She totally nailed the look from head to toe.

Alison Brie In Sally LaPointe – Late Night with Seth Meyers

Alison Brie made an appearance on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ on Tuesday (July 18) to promote her TV series, ‘Glow’.

The actress wore a Sally LaPointe Resort 2018 seafoam printed dress that’s imbued with elegance, but dares to be contemporary.

Yes, the plunge is deep, however, I feel the bodice is balanced by the dramatically draped skirt.

Alison Brie In Jason Wu – SiriusXM & Glow LA Premiere

Alison Brie has been busy promoting ‘Glow’ over the past few days with the actress first headed to the SiriusXM Studios on Tuesday (June 20) in New York City, before attending the LA premiere the next day.

SiriusXM Studios Visit: Alison’s blunt bob looks endlessly cool and works well with the masculine pinstripes of her Jason Wu wrap dress. However, I wonder if the colour and blazer-style are too heavy. Some accessories would have elevated this look, but for the daytime, she didn’t really require any.

‘Glow’ LA Premiere: There couldn’t be a sharper contrast between Alison’s two look. Her second doesn’t have any hint of matronly vibes; instead, the silky Jason Wu gown is beautifully draped and looks impossibly polished. It would’ve been great to see her embrace something more adventurous, but I do love how classic and sophisticated she looks.
