Who Wore Dundas Better? Alison Brie or Moran Atias?

Alison Brie was glowing on the red carpet at the 2018 SAG Awards wearing this Pre-Fall 2018 dress from Dundas.

I loved the vibrancy of the striking colour with the rainbow striped sequin trim completing my delight.

It would appear that Moran Atias was attracted to those same attributes when she wore the same dress less than a month later to the Dundas x Bergdorf Goodman Party.

As much as the vibe Moran is giving me wants to grant her this win, I’m not a fan of her shoe choice, so Alison wins for me.

Alison Brie In Ralph & Russo Couture – 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Alison Brie was on fine form for the 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (March 3) in Santa Monica, California.

I love how the feminine ruffles trail along the silhouette of her Ralph & Russo Fall 2017 Couture dress creating a romantic note.

Simple black Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals accessorized with look along with a finger wave hairstyle to heighten the 1920s vibe.

The ‘Glow’ actress’s style has been a bit of a rollercoaster this awards season, so I’m delighted that this penultimate look sees her go out on a high.

The CFDA, WWD & Variety Celebrate Runway To Red Carpet Initiative

To celebrate the inaugural launch of the Runway to Red Carpet initiative, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Variety and Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) hosted a star-studded luncheon on Tuesday (February 20) at the Chateau Marmont, which was sponsored by Karma Automotive.

A range of starlets were in attendance. However, if you had just looked at their ensembles, you’d never know they were at the same event—so diverse were their modes of dress.

Olivia Munn: I like the sunny outlook of this Veronica Beard Spring 2018 warm-weather-ready suit set, with the drawstring detailing adding an element of feminine allure. Obviously, the shorts didn’t stand up so well to the creases from sitting.

Lea Michele: Opting for a more romantically feminine offering, Lea wore a Zuhair Murad floral gown with a ruffled peplum. I can imagine this dress looked very pretty in the garden outside.

January Jones: I appreciate the directional, urban-forward mood the actress was setting with this Off-White Resort 2018 look—complete with that slick-back ponytail. However, I know the deconstructed, pinstripe skirt will have many saying it looks as if she wrapped a bolt of men’s shirting material around her waist.

Alison Brie In Vivienne Westwood – 2018 Writers Guild Awards LA Ceremony

On Sunday (February 11), Alison Brie joined Greta Gerwig for the 2018 Writers Guild Awards LA ceremony.

The one thing you can’t accuse Alison of in 2018 is being boring on the red carpet.

The ‘Glow’ actress has tried just about every style of look, hairstyle, now even her makeup has gone down a gothic path.

On this occasion she wore a grey Vivienne Westwood corset dress featuring the designers signature draped detailing which perfectly draws the eye to the smallest part of her waist.

We’ve all seen Westwood dresses in various forms, but I’m particularly taken by the construction of this one.

Some might think Alison is trying too hard here, but I love how the rebellious styling of this look perfectly fits with Vivienne Westwood’s ethos.

Alison Brie In Dundas – 2018 SAG Awards

Alison Bree was one of the first stars to make her way down the red carpet at the 2018 SAG Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 21).

The actress wore a Pre-Fall 2018 Dundas gown paired with Irene Neuwirth jewels.

There’s something to be said for being one of the first people down the red carpet, because everyone is fresh and eager and ready for fashion moments. Whether that comes into play here I can’t say, but I just love this dress. The vibrant red is such a striking color and the rainbow striped sequin trim is a complete delight.

I often think of Alison as a more demure actress, and I just love the fun she’s having with this look. Her bronze smokey eye and red lip offer the perfect complement to something so striking and fun.

Alison Brie In Roland Mouret – Los Angeles Confidential Celebrates ‘Awards Issue’

Alison Brie hosted the Los Angeles Confidential Celebrates ‘Awards Issue’ cover at The Jeremy Hotel on Saturday (January 13) in West Hollywood, California.

When it comes to this Roland Mouret ‘Primrose’ wide-leg jumpsuit with lightweight ruffled layers that add texture and volume, I only like the bottom half.

The top feels very restricting and I’m not a fan of that sheer panel.

I can’t say I’m 100% on board with the Alex Owens from Flashdance hairstyle either.

2018 Critics’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Following the 2018 Golden Globes black dress code, the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday (January 11) showcased a range of colours, styles and designers.

Reese Witherspoon: The actress’s most memorable looks often have bold colours, so I was surprised she opted for a black Prada dress. That being said, I thought the short length really worked for her, with the embellishment adding some vicariousness. The Roger Vivier shoes enhanced the playful mood.

Emma Roberts: Her choppy blonde fringe was certainly a talking point, but the elegant simplicity of her Giorgio Armani gown didn’t go unnoticed. The strapless column fit perfectly. She styled it in a very modern way with the gold-toned accessories and by leaving the neckline bare.

Emilia Clarke: Like Reese, the ‘Game of Thrones’ star opted for a shorter black dress. She wore a Dolce & Gabbana frock with Gianvito Rossi sandals. I would have loved to see the look completed with a red lip as it would have added some warmth while playing up the brand’s Italian film star aesthetic.
