Alicia Vikander In Chanel – 2014 BAFTAs

Alicia Vikander In Chanel - 2014 BAFTAsAlicia Vikander attended the 2014 BAFTAs today (February 16) at The Royal Opera House in London, England.

The Swedish starlet seized the slightly western-influenced spirit of the Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 collection with this dress, featuring a faded red-white-and-blue embellished sheer bodice and a tiered fringe white skirt.

Despite the flurry of fringe, this statement look did translate differently on Alicia than on the Texas runway of the Chanel show.

Daintier and more delicate, the frock was completed by blue strappy Jimmy Choo ‘Xenia’ sandals, along with a bright pink lip and loose, centre-parted waves.

Alicia Vikander In Chanel – Charles Finch & Chanel Pre BAFTA Party

Alicia Vikander In Chanel - Charles Finch & Chanel Pre BAFTA Party

Swedish actress and Chanel favourite, Alicia Vikander attended the Charles Finch and Chanel pre-BAFTA party yesterday evening (February 15) at London’s nightspot Annabel’s.

Wearing a black embroidered Chanel Spring 2014 top under a classic cropped evening jacket, Alicia kept her styling safe with a pair of rolled up skinny jeans and black courts.

I’ve seen this young actress in a variety of Chanel gowns in the past so this was a slightly disappointing turn from Alicia.

She’s an actress who really knows her own style and isn’t afraid to experiment just as she did with a stand-out Roksanda Ilincic dress at the Guldbaggen Awards recently, so although this latest look is lovely, I feel she could have done more.

Alicia did however add a kick of colour with her red quilted Chanel Boy bag. This is by far my favourite of the Chanel bag families and Alicia shows just how powerful a styling tool they can be. What do you think of this look?

Alicia Vikander In Roksanda Ilincic – Guldbaggen Awards

Alicia Vikander In Roksanda Ilincic - Guldbaggen Awards

Alicia Vikander attended the Guldbaggen Awards hosted in her hometown, Stockholm, Sweden on Monday (January 20).

Opting for a very colourful look, the young actress wore a striking blue Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2014 gown.

It’s the architectural sleeves and cobalt-blue hue of this ‘Waverly’ silk dress that make it a signature Roksanda Ilincic frock.

A two-tone slit puts a further contemporary spin on this look, with Nicholas Kirkwood wedges and a gold-and-blue Stark ‘Seductress’ clutch accessorizing the look and a simple ponytail and smoky eyes providing the finishing touches.

I’m captivated by it all. From the colour to the sleeve detailing, and especially the styling.

Alicia Vikander In Barbara Casasola – ‘The Railway Man’ Event

Alicia Vikander In Barbara Casasola - 'The Railway Man' Event

Alicia Vikander attended her second event during Toronto Film Festival, taking to the red carpet at ‘Live at The Hive’ on Friday evening for ‘The Railway Man’ event presented By Sodastream.

The Swedish actress wore a two-tone grey Barbara Casasola Fall 2013 dress with a bustier-inspired construction at the bodice, pleating and fringe detailing at the front and a contrast black back.

Barbara Casasola is fast establishing herself as a queen of modern elegance with her pared-back occasion wear and this look couldn’t be a more perfect example of that.

Black satin pumps with a colourful floral print and a silver bracelet accessorized her look.

I don’t think this girl has ever had a bad day on the red carpet. Long may that continue.

Alicia Vikander In Erdem – ‘The Fifth Estate’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Alicia Vikander In Erdem - 'The Fifth Estate' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) is finally here, and judging by the looks which took to the red carpet for ‘The Fifth Estate’ premiere in Toronto, Canada last night, it already puts the whole of Venice Film Festival (aka Snoozefest 2013) into the shade.

Alicia Vikander was the very definition of elegance in her majestic Erdem Pre-Fall 2013 jacquard gown, with her skin glowing against its rich shades of deep-water-blue and pretty pink florals.

The decision to make this all about the dress is what makes this look work so well, with a simple centre-parted ‘do and barely there makeup completing her look.

I know what you’re thinking. You’ve seen this before.

Well, Marion Cotillard wore the short-sleeved version of this dress and Keira Knightley wore the same Erdem strapless dress in a different colour with lace embroidery.
