Alicia Keys In Armani Privé – 2014 Grammy Awards

Alicia Keys In Armani Privé - 2014 Grammy Awards

Alicia Keys was also at the 2014 Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday night (January 26).

The songstress wore a custom Armani Privé silk-jersey column gown in an incredible shade of indigo blue.

Contributing a touch of sparkle to the form-fitting dress, which glided over her curves, was a black beaded, bow-accented belt, embellished in Swarovski crystals.

While some of you may be put off my the extreme, gaping plunge neckline, I was almost so distracted by the intensely beautiful, cobalt colour of the dress to even give it a second thought.

She topped off the look with some mandatory Grammys edge via a sky-high quiff, whilst keeping her makeup on more minimal territory.

Alicia Keys In Toni Maticevski & Manning Cartell – ARIA Awards 2013

Alicia Keys In Toni Maticevski & Manning Cartell - ARIA Awards 2013

Alicia Keys wore two more looks on stage while presenting and performing at the 27th Annual ARIA Awards 2013 held at the Star in Sydney, Australia on Sunday; both were by Australian designers.

Presenting: Her second look was a black Toni Maticevski dress with a black structural detail at the hip, which she paired with black Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and drop earrings. Open-toe shoes and a shorter skirt would have improved this look for me.

Performance: Alicia’s third look of the evening was a Manning Cartell printed ensemble which consisted of a crop top and a high-waist pencil skirt accented with silver zippers. An on-trend ear cuff courtesy of Ryan Storer and the same black pumps completed this look.

Which look do you favour? The red carpet, presenting or performing?

Sadly, the styling let down all three looks for me.

Alicia Keys In Stella McCartney – ARIA Awards 2013

Alicia Keys In Stella McCartney - ARIA Awards 2013

Alicia Keys attended the 27th Annual ARIA Awards 2013 held at the Star in Sydney, Australia on Sunday evening.

The singer, who presented the Best Female Artist award at the event to Jessica Mauboy, wore a Stella McCartney racerback vivid-yellow gown accented with a wide gold belt for the occasion.

I’m sure many of you are feeling somewhat fatigued by this gown – considering we first saw this dress on Gwyneth Paltrow at the 2012 Grammy Awards, a version of this gown was the most-worn dress of 2012, and Michelle Dockery wore the black version of this gown just last week – but this bold hue revitalizes the look for me.

I love the clean lines and figure-hugging silhouette, the flaw-free makeup and the sexy quiffed ‘do; however, I’m trying not to be annoyed by the needless necklace.

You can buy a Alicia’s Stella McCartney Gown from Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

Alicia Keys In Cushnie et Ochs & Armani Privé – Keep A Child Alive’s 10th Annual Black Ball

Alicia Keys In Cushnie et Ochs & Armani Privé - Keep A Child Alive's 10th Annual Black Ball

Alicia Keys hosted Keep A Child Alive’s 10th Annual Black Ball held at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City yesterday evening.

The singer wore one of her favourite brands, Cushnie et Ochs, wearing a red-hot sleeveless silk-crepe Resort 2014 gown featuring a bra-style underlay with a keyhole at the bust beneath the bodice and a deep V-neck.

Inside the venue Alicia did a quick change, performing wearing a custom Armani Privé purple beaded cocktail dress featuring a sweetheart neckline and a low-cut open back accented with a large strap.

Usually Alicia’s looks are very hit and miss. I’m pleasantly surprised that I love both looks. However, if I was to nitpick, I would’ve loved the Armani Privé look as a full-length gown.

Alicia Keys In Cushnie Et Ochs – TAO Downtown Grand Opening NYC

Alicia Keys In Cushnie Et Ochs - TAO Downtown Grand Opening NYC

Alicia Keys and hubby Swizz Beatz took to the red carpet for the TAO Downtown Grand Opening in New York City on Saturday evening, keeping it coordinated in black on black.

He was looking very dapper in his suit with satin lapels and a velvet tie, while she looked sexy wearing a Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2014 halter dress with a keyhole and cut-out detail.

While the dress might be considered too OTT or revealing, my issue is that I wish she had opted for a sexy pair of black sandals instead of those studded Saint Laurent pumps.

I can’t say I love the hair too much either. It feels a bit dated, like something out of an 80s music video.

Statement jewels completed her look.

Does the styling pull down this look for you, or don’t you like the dress to begin with?
