Alicia Keys In CD Greene – BET Honors 2013

Singer Alicia Keys, the ‘Girl on Fire,’ shined on the red carpet at the 2013 BET Honors at the Warner Theatre in Washington DC yesterday.

She wore a bold black CD Greene floor-length dress with a cutout shoulder and leather accents.

This dress is simple yet statement-making. The asymmetrical shape of the top is right on trend and adds some interest to the simple black piece.

She accessorized with basic gold hoop earrings and barely noticeable black heels. I think this look would have stood out and looked more polished with bolder jewels and a bright clutch.

Her slicked-back bun, a cat eye and red lips looked great and finished off her look nicely.

Alicia Keys In Marc Jacobs – Late Night With David Letterman

Alicia Keys made a guest appearance on Late Night With David Letterman on Tuesday night where she talked to the host about her family and Christmas.

The singer then went on to set the Ed Sullivan Theater stage ‘On Fire’ with a soul-baring performance of her hit song on Tuesday night which brought the 2012 season of ‘Live On Letterman’ to a conclusion.

She opened the show with ‘New Day’, before going on to perform a reggae mash-up of her new track ‘Limitedless’, ‘You Don’t Know My Name’, her current track ‘ Girl On Fire’ and the epic ‘Empire State of Mind’, much to the crowd’s delight.

Alicia’s voice wasn’t the only thing to stand out.

The singer was dressed in a bright-yellow Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 ensemble with blue sequin stripes on both the crew-neck sweater and knit pencil skirt.

Vanity Fair’s best-dressed woman of the year followed the number one rule of wearing a crop top by wearing a high-waisted skirt to cover her stomach.

The look was completed with gold pointy pumps.

Alicia Keys In David Koma – Wetten, Dass…?

Alicia Keys was also one of the guest performers joining Rihanna on the hit German TV show, ‘Wetten, dass…?’ on Saturday evening.

Performing her hit single, ‘Girl On Fire’, the American singer donned a David Koma Spring 2013 frock.

Ensuring she was kept cool in her temperature-rising performance, her black-and-blue dress with a patterned bodice and fitted skirt had cut-out details at the waist.

A silver linked waistband, which complemented the toecaps on the Giuseppe Zanotti pumps, ensured this modified version of the runway look still had an edge.

Alicia Keys In Stella McCartney – 2012 MTV EMAs

Alicia Keys sported a very familiar silhouette on the red carpet at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday evening held in Frankfurt, Germany.

The singer, who also performed on the night, wore the Stella McCartney tri-colour ‘Miracle’ dress.

While many of you are so very over this dress, I have to say I loved the green and the stunning choker which gave this look a fresh twist.

The let down was the illusion panel, which didn’t create so much of an illusion around the shoulders.

Gianvito Rossi silver metallic pumps and a sleek bob hairstyle completed her look.

Alicia shared, “Getting ready for an event like this often involves a long time in a chair getting my hair and make up done, then warming up for my performance.”

Alicia Keys In Cushnie Et Ochs – Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Last week Alicia Keys kick-started her promo tour for her fifth album, ‘Girl On Fire’ (out on November 27).

She made a guest appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, which aired in the US on Friday evening, where she performed the title track wearing a Cushnie Et Ochs Fall 2012 dress.

The black long-sleeve fitted dress had a futuristic feel with silver crackle patent-leather panelling at the front and back.

A silver choker perfectly complemented her LBD with red nails, a rouge lip colour and side-swept locks completing her look.

Alicia Keys In Victoria Beckham – ‘The Journals of Mama Mae & LeeLee’ Interactive Storytelling App Launch

Alicia Keys joined Bento Box Interactive to launch ‘The Journals of Mama Mae & LeeLee’ interactive storytelling app at the Apple Soho store in New York City yesterday evening.

The singer, who Vanity Fair ranked on their International Best Dressed List, wore a Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 dress.

Alicia’s perfectly tailored dress with a military-inspired edge was styled with black pumps with a silver toe-cap and a punchy pink lip colour, but sadly not the leather belt.

You may remember that Victoria Beckham wore this dress to the Viva Forever press conference back in June.
