Who Wore Michael Kors Better…Myleene Klass or Alicia Keys?

Back in January, Alicia Keys took to the red carpet at the NRJ Music Awards wearing a Michael Kors Spring 2013 black cut-out gown, which she styled with a Vhernier black-and-white statement necklace and a chic updo.

Four months later, British TV presenter Myleene Klass wore the same gown to The Laurence Olivier Awards, opting to go sans jewels, with her hair pulled back into a tight bun.

Myleene wins for me. Firstly, I prefer the length of her dress; she’s hemmed it to just hit the floor rather than sit in a puddle like Alicia’s. Secondly, the decision to keep the look trinket free was the right one.

Met Gala 2013 Roundup

Here is a roundup of the rest of the ladies who took to the red carpet for the 2013 Met Gala on Monday evening. Models @ The Met post will follow.

Brooklyn Decker: The actress wore a custom Peter Pilotto look inspired by the Spring 2013 collection. While the look is custom I feel like I have seen this look several times before, so there is nothing fresh or new about it, unlike other custom looks as showcased by Karolina Kurkova and several others. Her Sergio Rossi ‘Hypnos’ sandals, however, are a work of art.

Alicia Keys: The singer took to the red carpet wearing a custom Jason Wu gown. Her black leather and bordeaux sequin embroidered halter gown is beautiful, but I wish Alicia had pushed the punk vibe with the styling a bit more; the red streaks in her hair aren’t enough for me, especially when we know Alicia isn’t afraid of taking a fashion risk. Robert Lee Morris jewels and a vintage clutch completed her look.

Maggie Gyllenhaal: The actress wore a beautiful custom Calvin Klein scarlet gown for the occasion which was punked up as far as she would go with a studded choker and a Tod’s black studded clutch with a gold frame. While I do love this look, I wish Maggie had gone bra shopping before this event.

Alicia Keys In Hervé Léger By Max Azria – NBA All-Star Game 2013

Alicia Keys pumped her fist in the air and waved it around like she just didn’t care while performing during half time at the 2013 NBA All-Star game at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, which was attended by Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z.

The singer ripped a look off the runway, wearing a Herve Leger Fall 2013 look which had been presented during New York Fashion Week that same week.

Shunning the baseball cap, she showed off her abs, once again, wearing an embellished long-sleeved crop top with slouchy leather pants which I adore and must own.

I love the urban sex appeal of this look, especially when styled with Reebok classic AKW sneakers.

Pumps just wouldn’t cut it with this look.

Alicia Keys In Azzedine Alaia – 2013 Grammy Awards

Fresh off her performance at Super Bowl XLVII, Alicia Keys walked the red carpet at Sunday’s 2013 Grammy Awards where the singer was nominated for the producer of the year award.

With just a week post-Super Bowl, the singer chose to sport another body-con Azzedine Alaia design to the music awards.

The black formfitting dress hugged the singer’s curves in all the right places thanks to a fishtail silhouette. As if the snug fit wasn’t sexy enough, a midriff-baring crisscross bodice in a dramatic crocodile embossing amped up the sex appeal.

To complete the look, the singer styled her gown with matching black and white, snake-detailed earrings and a cocktail ring. A deep red lip and manicure topped off her glamorous style.

Alicia Keys In Azzedine Alaia – Super Bowl XLVII

Ahead of the Super Bowl XLVII game between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers, Alicia Keys got the party started at the Superdome New Orleans, Louisana yesterday evening.

The singer gave an amazing rendition of the national anthem while giving us a glamorous look which was red carpet ready.

Alicia wore a scarlet-hued body-con Alaïa gown with a fishtail hemline, which she adorned with a gold Marina B choker.

Smoky eyes, nude lips and a slicked-back hairdo provided the finishing touches to her sultry performance look.
