Saorise Ronan opted for florals for the premiere of ‘Byzantium’ during the 2012 Toronto Film Festival.

The Irish actress wore a McQ Alexander McQueen dress with Eddie Borgo jewels for the event.

The panelling at the neckline and bust and slight peplum detail on Saorise’s dress are exquisite, but her hair is a bit messy for my tastes.

Rachel McAdams was a vision in green at last night’s ‘To The Wonder’ premiere during the 2012 Toronto Film Festival.

The actress chose a floor-length Elie Saab Fall 2012 gown for the event.

There is something so beautiful about this verdant shade – and it matches Rachel’s eyes and skin tone perfectly.

The soft updo is the right choice, given the high neckline, and I really like how the bare arm balances the long sleeve and pleated bodice.

Kate Hudson made an appearance at a photocall for her film ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’ during the Toronto Film Festival yesterday.

For the event, Kate chose a simple black sheath dress from Emilio Pucci’s Resort 2013 collection styled with Dana Rebecca Designs and Graziela jewels.

The actress looks confident and happy in this dress – and so she should. Kate has the toned legs for it and I love the hair and make-up.

I’m not sure, however, about the scarf and bright green shoes. Both pieces are great on their own, but when used together, it doesn’t really go.

Gemma Arterton went for black and light grey on the red carpet for the premiere of her film ‘Byzantium’ at the Toronto Film Festival on Sunday.

The actress chose an Antonio Berardi ensemble from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection for the event.

The British actress can be a bit hit and miss on the red carpet, but this time the gown is definitely working for her.

The under-wear-as-outerwear bodice is both pretty and unusual, though an updo would’ve been less of a distraction – as would a clutch instead of the white bag with its long chain strap.

Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted at the premiere of her film ‘Thanks For Sharing’ during the Toronto Film Festival on Saturday.

The actress wore a Tom Ford LBD with an open back.

Gwyneth didn’t appear to be her usual polished self.

The hair and makeup are fine, but the dress has a lot of creases around the waist and hips.

Her Giuseppe Zanotti shoes were a colourful addition, though it’s a shame they get lost on the multi-coloured carpet.

Gwyneth finished her look with a Baume & Mercier watch and Annoushka bracelet.

Lily Colins attended the ‘Writers’ premiere at the Toronto Film Festival last night.

For the event, the actress wore a dress from the Balmain Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

There’s something about the proportions that don’t work here. The dress on its own is stunning, though it’s shortening Lily’s neck – something I don’t think can be rectified by an updo.

The Casadei blade pumps are inoffensive, but a higher heel would’ve worked better.

There’s no denying her beauty, however, and the pink lip and strong brow are on point.
