2010 Toronto Film Festival “The Conspirator” Premiere – Alexis Bledel In J. Mendel

The adorable Alexis Bledel walked the red carpet at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival to promote her new movie, “The Conspirator.”

She gave us our first look from the J. Mendel Resort 2011 collection.

Alexis tends to pick cutesy safe dresses, but she went for something bolder on this occasion.

Her midnight blue J. Mendel Resort 2011 bustier dress has a beautiful draped jersey wrap skirt.

I had to warm up to this look, but I do like it. She carries it well.

She teamed her look with Giuseppe Zanotti heels, House of Lavande jewelry and a vintage clutch.

2010 CFDA Fashion Awards – Alexis Bledel In Behnaz Sarafpour

Sexy Shimmer Award
Alexis Bledel shimmered down the red carpet at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards last night.

I loved her asymmetrical nude Behnaz Sarafpour Resort 2011 dress, as it added a youthful touch to the red carpet which was dominated by gowns.

Christian Louboutin Anna patent leather sandals, a stack of gold bracelets and a gold clutch.

I really glad she didn’t opt to wear too much make-up.

Her look is flawless.

2010 Independent Filmmaker Project Spring Gala – Alexis Bledel In 3.1 Phillip Lim

Alexis Bledel looked stunning when she walked the red carpet at the “2010 Independent Filmmaker Project Spring Gala” in New York last night.

I like that she took a bit of a risk wearing this 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2010 dress.

It’s the first time we’ve seen one of these interesting pieces on the red carpet in the US.

This is not a easy dress to pull off as so much is going on with the lace and the organza pleats, but I think she looks perfect.

I know many of you are tired of nude heels, but I like the black trim on her Loeffler Randall Keira snap platform sandals.

A black clutch, Daniel Swarovski jewels and beautifully tousled hair completes the look.

Christian Siriano Spring 2010

Christian Siriano’s Spring 2010 collection is the only presentation I have seen this season were the designer got a standing ovation. He also received the loudest cheer.

The collection started off with nudes paired with pink pieces which was delicate and ultra feminine. The soft pink doesn’t really show in the pictures though.

Then the collection moved onto marine blues, starting with aqua then moving onto more dramatic blues for a real under the sea feel. Bold red and orange pieces followed.

The collection featured cute mini dresses which were strapless and asymmetrical. Shorts were paired with silk blouses, large brim hats we’ve seen in previous collections, and dramatic gowns. Hopefully Emmy bound.

Sessilee Lopez worked her flamenco style gown, whilst another model literally carried her nude and red tulle gown which had a magnificent train.

Both drew gasps, but not as much as the silk chiffon-layered goddess gown. It really was the wow moment of the show.

I was very impressed with this presentation.

Alexis Bleldel’s dress was a Christian Siriano Spring 2010 preview, but her look differs from the runway.

The runway version had one sleeve and a tulip shaped skirt.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Alexis Bledel In Christian Siriano & Kate Beckinsale In Jil Sander

So much happened yesterday so I closed the poll early.

Even had I given this poll a few more hours to run, I’m sure Alexis Bleldel would have still won.

You guys fell in love with her Christian Siriano Spring 2010 ensemble which she paired with red hot Dior heels.

I fell in love with Kate Beckinsale in Jil Sander.

The simple sophistication of the strapless navy dress and Kate’s flawless beauty won me over.
