Alexis Bledel In J. Mendel – ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 2 Premiere

Alexis Bledel joined Elisabeth Moss for the premiere of Hulu’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 2 on Thursday (April 19) in Hollywood, California.

Like Jennifer Nettles, Alexis opted for a burnt velvet look from J. Mendel’s Fall 2018 collection.

The actress is known for her love for girlie frocks in fresh colours, so this darker mood is a huge change of direction, but one that I found just as successful as Jennifer’s outing.

Would I wear this dress in summer? No, but I love the end result thanks to the sleek styling which included Nicholas Kirkwood Lola Pearl sandals and a complementary clutch.

Alexis Bledel In Rasario – 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards

Alexis Bledel attended the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday (January 11) in Santa Monica, California, where ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ celebrated a win for Best Drama Series.

The actress looked elegant in a two-toned Rasario number.

There is a modernity to the gown with the black juxtaposing the silvery grey, yet it still has a timeless quality.

I’m pleased she shortened the dress as it created a sharper silhouette. Plus, it showed off her Sophia Webster Lilico Crystal pumps which tied in the bow detail at the waist.

I hope the ensemble’s grace doesn’t get forgotten about because this is a charming look.

Alexis Bledel In Oscar de la Renta – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Alexis Bledel stunned on the 2018 Golden Globe Awards carpet wearing a one-shoulder jumpsuit from the Oscar de La Renta Resort 2018 collection.

It was all about the details with this piece featuring applique leaf-like design and a satin sash that draped down the side of the jumpsuit. With Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ pumps, the actress gave the otherwise fun piece a tailored workwear vibe.

The actress finished the look with simple dangly earrings and her rich brunette hair in a side-parted straight style, adding a sophisticated tone to the look.

While her natural makeup is her signature style, a bold lip would’ve worked well with this monochromatic jumpsuit.

Alexis Bledel In Armani Prive – 2017 Emmy Awards

We didn’t see Alexis Bledel on the red carpet for the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) in LA, but she was captured in the press room following her Emmy win for the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’.

Armani Prive is synonymous with an elegant and lavish aesthetic, and this black strapless gown is a fine example.

It’s such a simple design elevated by the stunning embroidery, that is worthy of an Emmy winner.

Forevermark jewels added that perfect final touch.

Alexis Bledel In J. Mendel – 2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

Alexis Bledel picked up the Emmy for ‘Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series’ for ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ on Sunday (September 10) at the 2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, and she used the platform of her acceptance speech to speak about the show’s partnership with Change.org. A move she said was designed “to encourage us all to take action…sign up, speak up and stay awake.”

This explains why she wore the blue ACLU ribbon, which a lot of celebs wore in support of the American Civil Liberties Union during this year’s Oscars.

I love the ethereal feeling of her J.Mendel Resort 2018 gown which looks like she’s floating on a blush-pink cloud.

Cut to a beautiful floor-skimming silhouette, this really has a dream-like quality to it.

Opting for a deep-rouge lip, her award-winning look was complete with the ‘Lilla Venetian’ brocade Hayward clutch and CSARITE by Nak Armstrong ‘Lotus’ dangle earrings which accessorized.

FYC Event For Hulu’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’

A trio of lovelies were at the FYC event for Hulu’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ on Monday (August 14) in LA.

Elisabeth Moss: We often feel Elisabeth Moss can do so much better when it comes to her style, and while this sequin pussy-bow Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2016 dress was very much in keeping with her fashion wheelhouse, it seemed to resonate with a slightly more playful femininity that was refreshing to see on the actress. Her golden curls and luminous makeup added to the effect.

Samira Wiley: I would have loved to have seen this floaty, floral Zimmermann jumpsuit styled with a more delicate sandal.

Alexis Bledel: Anything blue will forever be Alexis’s colour, as even the blue bird print of this Christian Siriano Pre-Fall 2017 dress brought out her own piercing baby blues. I almost want to remove the jacket, but as presented, it held true to the actress’s sense of modest whimsy.

‘Paint it Black’ New York Premiere

A trio of starlets were in attendance at the premiere of ‘Paint It Black’ in New York City on Monday (May 15).

Blake Lively: I always look forward to seeing Blake on the red carpet, as I’m generally in adoration of her chic style. With this Michael Kors Fall 2017 ensemble, however, I was only half-sold. The white tank underneath the embellished sheer top threw me for a loop, as it took away some of the shimmery radiance.

Alexis Bledel: Alexis delighted us the last time out in her medley of vibrant hues, and she stayed true to that spirit in this Saloni Spring 2017 vivid-print frock. The colours are so striking, but I do think she could have had more fun with her shoe choice with a sandal in the same palette.

Amber Tamblyn: Like Blake, Amber also opted to paint it black in her suited-up ensemble. The creamy, lace blouse brought a flourish of femininity to the look. But her lace-up brogues certainly played more into the menswear-inspired influences. With her tapered-leg trousers, I would have preferred a more delicate sandal or stiletto, though. What about you?
