Who Wore Lipsy Better? Alexandra Burke or Rachel Adedeji

Last year’s X Factor winner Alexandra Burke first wore this Lipsy fringe detail dress to “Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball” in London on 6th December.

I must say I love her hair. The blunt fringe really suits this look.

And then she ruins it with the ankle boots *sigh*.

This dress gives Alexandra a really nice shape but I wish she’d worn something a bit more festive.

X Factor contender Rachel Adedji then wore this dress last week to “Capital Rocks” in London.

Where to start? Those boots? If you insist on wearing boots on the red carpet at least wear some that fit.

Rachel’s boots are baggy around her legs, which makes this look sloppy and badly put together.

I’m not crazy about the earrings either and in fact think that both girls are lacking some much needed accessories.

Alexandra wins this round for me, although I’m not blown away by either.

“Cheryl’s Night In”

On Saturday night before the X Factor final on ITV, we got see more of Cheryl Cole on her one-off show “Cheryl’s Night In”.

She was still fighting for this love wearing her favourite Alexander Wang boots, she’d worn in her first performance on the X Factor a few weeks ago.

This time she swapped the military outfit for a pink ninja-style look.

My favourite look of the show as when Cheryl perform “3 Words” a duet with Black Eyed Peas rapper Will.I.Am.

She looked stunning wearing a her 3rd look from the Stéphane Rolland Fall 2009 Couture collection this year.

This black gown with a sheer yoke had a dramatic train which Cheryl used to full effect during her performance.

Last season Cheryl wore a pink Krystof Strozyna dress on the X Factor, so it wasn’t a surprise to see her wearing the same designer again.

Whilst Cheryl was being interviewed by Holly Willoughby wearing a teal Temperley London gown, Cheryl glowed in an orange and black Krystof Strozyna Spring 2010 pencil dress.

This digital print dress has geometric fabric panels which I absolutely loved.

Love her or loathe her, she’s given us some interesting fashion choices this year.

Alexandra Burke has worn many Emilio Pucci pieces.

When she performed her hit single “Bad Boys” on “Cheryl’s Night In”, she wore an exclusive ‘one-of-a-kind’ outfit designed by Emilio Pucci’s Creative Director Peter Dundas.

The white two piece was covered in studded eagle motif, which sparkled as she performed her energetic dance routine.

A big wow for Alexandra who after one year in showbiz already has big name designers making looks especially for her.

Who Wore French Connection Better? Stephanie Pratt or Alexandra Burke

You can’t walk 5 paces in any women’s clothing store without being dazzled by sequins at the moment.

Nothing works better than Christmas parties and sequin mini dresses.

‘The Hills’ star Stephanie Pratt wore this blue French Connection Spirit Catcher dress recently when she attended the US Weekly Hot Hollywood Party in LA.

She paired her mini sparkler with navy blue heels and a matching clutch.

Last years ‘X Factor’ winner Alexandra Burke wore the same dress with open-toe ankle boots this weekend, when she walked the red carpet at the “Cash Money Records party” held at the Royal Exchange Building in London.

As much as I’ve sworn off ankle boots, I think this dress hangs better on Alexandra, so she wins for me.

You can purchase this dress is 3 different colours from French Connection’s website.

If you’re looking for something more festive, you can buy this dress in red in your local French Connection store.

Alexandra Burke Loves Lipsy London

Alexandra Burke may have the No.1 single in the UK – which was the fastest selling single of the year – but she still loves shopping the high-street.

This weekend at the ‘Girlguiding UK’s Big Gig’ at Wembley Arena the singer was spotted wearing two Lipsy London one-sleeved dresses.

She walked the red carpet wearing a Lipsy London mesh one shoulder dress which she paired with knee-high suede boots.

She later performed wearing a Lipsy London VIP asymmetric animal sequin dress.

My favourite of the two is the blue dress. It kind of reminds me of the one-sleeved blue sequined Balmain Fall 2009 dress.

What The X Factor Contestants Wore In Week 1

Yesterday we saw how stunning Cheryl Cole looked in her Atelier Versace dress, today we look at what the contestants, Alexander Burke and Dannii Minogue wore.

Rachel Adedeji – who Louis Walsh called the UK’s answer to Rihanna – wore navy skinny jeans, orange platform heels, with a sequin stripy top which I thought was from the Balmain Fall 2009 collection, but it’s just a very good copy.

Stacey Solomon wore a Dolce & Gabbana Marilyn Monroe motif tee with jeans, a leather belt and studded sandals.

Both are wearing KG for Kurt Geiger heels.

Lucie Jone wore a purple BCBG Max Azria silk dress with a drape on one side.

Her dress was paired with nude and black multi-strap sandals from River Island.

Reigning X Factor champion Alexandra Burke performed her new single “Bad Boys” on Sunday’s result show.

I was really surprised at how good the song was, and also how fabulous she looked.

The diva-in-training put in a very energetic performance wearing a gold paillette mini dress paired with matching Christian Louboutin Archidisco 120 T-bar sandals.

Dannii Minogue looked like she didn’t even want to try to compete with Cheryl as they are constantly in ‘Dannii vs. Cheryl style wars’ which must get very tiresome.

She kept her look very demure wearing a purple plunging dress paired with jewels from Kara Ross and Valerie Wade.
