Alexa Chung In Valentino - 'It By Alexa Chung' Book Launch

Alexa Chung attended her ‘It by Alexa Chung’ book launch in New York City yesterday, showing off yet another dark floral look.

She donned a short floral Valentino Fall 2013 frock with contrasting white collar and cuffs, and paired it with black tights and black Louis Vuitton bow-front pumps. As per usual, Alexa wore her signature cat-eye and her hair very casually — this time, partially pulled back.

If you feel like you’re having dress déjà vu, you may remember that Anna Dello Russo wore this same dress during Paris Fashion Week.

Alexa Chung In Erdem - The Standard Hotel

Alexa Chung was spotted leaving The Standard, High Line Hotel in New York City on Friday, to promote her new book, ‘It,’ looking every bit the dark flower child.

She wore a sleeveless navy blue and multicolour floral-print Erdem Resort 2014 dress for the occasion. Even with the shorter hemline, the dress erred on the side of modesty, thanks to its slightly higher neckline. A ruffled, Victorian-esque white collar, to be exact.

Alexa completed the look with simple flourishes: black Nicholas Kirkwood booties, a dash of pink lipstick, barely-there makeup, and her usual no-fuss hairstyle.

Alexa Chung In Louis Vuitton - 2013 Whitney Gala

Alexa Chung enjoyed a second night out in a row for the Louis Vuitton 2013 Whitney Gala held at Skylight at Moynihan Station in New York City yesterday evening.

The presenter’s Louis Vuitton look felt very casual for a gala.

She teamed a black sleeveless top accented with a velvet ribbon with a grey dual-printed mini skirt, styled with a Louis Vuitton ‘Catalina BB’ bag in a rose-pink hue and black pumps.

While the overall look doesn’t feel dressy enough for a gala, I do love her hair and makeup.

Alexa Chung In Christopher Kane - 30th Annual Fashion Group International Night Of Stars

Alexa Chung presented the ‘Fashion Star’ award to Christopher Kane during the 30th Annual Night Of Stars presented by The Fashion Group International at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City yesterday evening.

She was, of course, wearing said designer, selecting a black suit from his Spring 2014 collection which featured jewelled details accenting the waist and holding up the hem of the blazer for a refreshing twist on a classic look.

Opting for feminine footwear, she styled the look with black sandals, with copper eye makeup enhancing her green eyes, and a soft-pink lip colour and wavy tresses rounding out her look.

Alexa Chung Flare November 2013

Alexa Chung graces the cover of Flare’s November 2013 issue, shot by Jason Kim, wearing an Erdem lace-accented magenta dress with black Ralph Lauren Collection heels.
In the rest of her editorial she wears J Crew, Chanel, Burberry Prorsum, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, and in one shot she dons the Valentino T-bar pumps that were the fashion pack’s favourite during Fashion Week.

The Brit TV host and model drops the F bomb a few times when opening up to the mag about everything from dating in New York City to her love life and her upcoming 30th birthday.

Here are a few extracts from her interview.

On dating in New York City: “There’s a richness of incredibly intelligent, talented and f*cking interesting women in New York and far fewer men… I’m always helping out girlfriends and then I’m wondering, who’s going to look after me? But it’s because I seem like I have my shit together. That’s not necessarily the case.”

On her love life: “I’m a serial monogamist. I can’t just casually sleep with boys. It’s just not for me. Call me old-fashioned. I don’t sleep with people I don’t find interesting, or whose brain isn’t the main turn-on for me. It’s not like I just get all, ‘Oh, he’s fit.’ It’s often there’s a deeper connection, so it just means it lasts a bit longer.”

On her type: “Rock stars! It’s becoming a f*cking joke at this point.” Read more…
