Alexa Chung In Max Mara - Glastonbury Festival

Alexa Chung attended the Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm on Sunday (June 29) in Glastonbury, England.

The weather wasn’t that great in England over the weekend, but that didn’t stop the presenter donning this Max Mara Spring 2014 metallic-silver romper.

While it may be a bit d.i.s.c.o. for the mud fest which is Glastonbury, it was one of the few looks from this festival that I really liked.

Styled with a grey cardi wrapped around her waist and Glasto staples such as Hunter wellies and a Barbour jacket, was her romper too glitzy for the festival?

Alexa Chung In Carven - Out In New York City

Alexa Chung was back stateside where she was spotted taking a stroll in New York City on Wednesday (June 18) afternoon.

The brunette TV personality wore a thigh-skimming dress featuring striped blouse-like sleeves and side panelling, plus an maroon lace body from Carven’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection.

Alexa is a huge fan of Guillaume Henry’s flirty feminine designs, so while this is a transitional Pre-Fall 2014 dress, the stripes give the look a height-of-summer wear-right-now appeal.

Bionda Castana ‘Nicole’ ankle strap pumps completed her look.

Alexa Chung In Saint Laurent - MyTheresacom and Anya Hindmarch Dinner

MyTheresa.com and Anya Hindmarch hosted a dinner in London on Tuesday (June 10) at the Royal Academy of Arts.

Alexa Chung was in attendance wearing an impeccably tailored Saint Laurent Pre-Fall 2014 red velvet sharp-lapel suit paired with a no-fuss co-ordinating mini pencil skirt.

Keeping the look effortlessly cool, she wore her fiery suit with a simple black tee.

Not one to opt for too much jewelry, she did add some bling to her look via her Tabitha Simmons ‘Heart’ black flats with a contrasting embellished front panel and T-bar fastening plus a Anya Hindmarch shoulder bag.

Barely there makeup and a simple updo completed her look.

I must be coming down with something. I like this look too. Especially the shoes. I am having a moment with flats right now.

Alexa Chung In Chanel - Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Preview Party

Alexa Chung attended the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Preview Party held at the Royal Academy of Arts on Wednesday (June 4) in London, England.

Having worn Dior to the Glamour Women of the Year awards the night before, she returned to her favourite French fashion house on this occasion: Chanel.

She paired a white ruffled tiered crop top with a twee biscuit-hued midi skirt from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection.

No surprises that I would’ve loved her to have opted for different accessories to the black patent-leather booties and black Chanel clutch she styled her summery look with, but I will take these over the cowboy boots we saw on the runway.

Alexa Chung In Christian Dior - Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Alexa Chung attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards held at Berkeley Square Gardens on Tuesday (June 3) in London, England, where she picked up the Entrepreneur of the Year award.

The other surprising thing is that the TV presenter didn’t wear Chanel, instead opting for a Christian Dior Resort 2015 fit-and-flare black frock with a sheer embroidered bodice – which shatters my theory that if you are considered a Chanel ambassador (as she is) you can’t wear Dior.

My surprise is three-fold as I don’t find myself disliking the look.

Something has shifted when it comes to Alexa’s style. Perhaps she’s finally attempting to live up to her fashion icon status, as the hair looks good, I love the dress, the clunky mannish shoes have given way to dainty sandals, and she’s even sporting a tan.

Did hell freeze over, because I really love this from head to toe.

Alexa Chung In Nina Ricci - 2014 Met Gala

Alexa Chung attended the ‘Charles James: Beyond Fashion’ Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

Surprisingly, she didn’t wear her go-to designers Christopher Kane or Erdem, selecting a Nina Ricci piece instead.

I was also surprised to see her wearing a gown because, as you know, she loves to keep it short and sweet.

The blue-grey silk-radzimir strapless gown accented with bow detailing down the front was also a rare homerun for Alexa.

While the silver embellished clutch was the perfect accessory, I can’t get on board with the black pumps with gold-studded toecaps.

I’m picturing silver sandals with this gorgeous look in my mind’s eye.
