Alex Curran In Victoria Beckham – Rose Club

It’s been a while since I featured any WAGs on the site.

Alex Curran, wife of England football team captain and Liverpool player Steven Gerrard, was spotted out in London yesterday evening hitting the Rose club with her friends and fellow WAGs.

Showing support to Queen B, Victoria Beckham, Alex wore a dress from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection.

The black, sleeveless, curve-enhancing dress with a pointy collar features sexy peek-a-boo broderie anglaise panels.

Wearing all-black accessories, Alex styled her look with a Valentino studded clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Malika’ perforated booties.

In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Victoria Beckham said “I don’t wear fake tan anymore.” She notes that she has been turned orange on too many occasions and that, in an anti-aging effort, she’s found it best to embrace her natural colouring. “Being overly tanned is very ageing and, dare I say it, a bit ‘footballer’s wife’.”

It looks like Alex is following suit as she’s not as orange as she used to look.

You may remember that Naomi Watts wore the same dress during awards season.

Alex isn’t the only WAG to have worn a Victoria Beckham frock. Abbey Clancey and former WAG Cheryl Cole have too.

Who Wore Lanvin Better? Chloe Sevigny or Alex Curran

I think “Style Stalker” Alex Curran reads my blog, because she this time she’s stalking Chloe Sevigny having previously stalked Cheryl Cole, Rihanna and Victoria Beckham.

Chloe wore her Lanvin leopard print mini dress and Christian Louboutin ‘Madame Butterfly’ booties to the HBO Emmy Party back in August.

She added an Ippolita gold necklace with a matching bracelet and a red Amanda Pearl roll clutch which matched her red hot lips.

Alex wore the same dress and heels to the 2010 MOBO Awards on Wednesday night.

The only difference was that Alex wore her hair down and carried an Alexander McQueen Hell’s knuckleduster box clutch.

As always Alex get nil points for originality and Chloe gets 10 out of 10 for her impeccable style so she wins.

Who Wore Julien Macdonald Better? Cheryl Cole or Alex Curran

Former WAG Cheryl Cole (Tweedy) and current WAG Alex Curran (Gerrard) have been spotted wearing the same Julien Macdonald chiffon lace pleated gown from the Fall 2010 collection within weeks of each other.

Cheryl wore the mini dress with a flowing train when she arrived at the 2010 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards in London 2½ weeks ago.

Her custom nude dress was accessorized with a sparkling grey VBH clutch and Jimmy Choo Quinze embellished booties.

When I first saw Cheryl in this dress I wished she had worn the runway version.

After seeing it on Alex I’m really glad she didn’t, as the all nude feels more delicate and ethereal, compared to the harshness of Alex’s look.

Alex was spotted leaving the Mayfair Hotel in London enroute to Elton John’s “White Tie and Tiara Ball” wearing the slightly modified runway dress last night.

This is not the first time Alex has been spotted wearing the same dress as a WAG further up the food chain.

She wore the same yellow RM by Roland Mouret dress 9 days after Queen WAG Victoria Beckham.

As these dresses are from the Fall 2010 collection, they are not currently in store so I’m guessing Alex had to request the dress.

I would like to think that Alex believes she’s wearing a totally different dress, but I’m sure she knows it’s essentially the same.

Every time I try to give Alex some credit for her style it seems that she copies the style of whoever it hot at that moment.

She done Victoria Beckham, Rihanna now she’s moved onto Cheryl. Damn even her hair swept to one side is the same.

I much prefer the dress and make-up on Cheryl, so she wins for me.

Who Wore Twenty8Twelve Better? Alex Curran or Danielle Lineker

WAGs were often criticized for not supporting British designers, but Alex Curran and Danielle Lineker did so by wearing this Twenty8Twelve chiffon shoulder pad playsuit from the Spring 2010 collection.

Alex wore this cute white Twenty8Twelve playsuit when she was spotted leaving the hairdressers in Liverpool last month.

VB-style oversized shades, Lanvin sandals, a House of Harlow 1960 necklace and a Hermes Birkin bag completed her look.

New WAG on the block Danielle Lineker was spotted in London yesterday shopping with her husband Gary Lineker.

She also wore the same playsuit in an olive green colour with large shade and strappy sandals.

It’s funny how they are starting to dress so alike. I wonder if they read Kickette to see what each other is wearing.

I love both looks, but Danielle wins for me. Her look feels more effortless compared to Alex who’s all too aware that the paparazzi follow her every move.

If I were to buy this playsuit I would definitely go for the olive green version, as I’m guaranteed to spill on the white.
