Aishwarya Rai Bachchan In Malan Breton – Vogue Women of The Year Awards

All eyes were undoubtedly on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as she glided gown the red carpet for the Vogue Women of the Year Awards held in Mumbai on Sunday (September 24), where she picked up the Vogue Influencer of the Decade Award.

Mrs Bachchan never misses an opportunity to go big, so I love that she served up plenty of high drama wearing a sheer embellished and feather festooned Malan Breton Fall 2017 gown.

The runway faux bob wouldn’t been divine here, however, Aishwarya tends to favour wearing hair down, so I’m not surprised or disappointed on this occasion.

The one thing I love about Aishwarya is that she never rests on her laurels. We all know that she can wear a sack and still look gorgeous, so I fully appreciate her desire to always deliver on the red carpet.

Renu Oberoi jewels completed her look.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan In Nedret Taciroglu – Vogue Beauty Awards

If you’re surprised that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan picked up the ‘Beautiful Global Indian Icon’ Award at the annual Vogue Beauty Awards on Wednesday (August 2) in Mumbai, clearly you didn’t see her breath-taking Michael Cinco Couture Cannes gown which may just go down in history as one of the most stunning gowns to hit a red carpet.

Her Nedret Taciroglu black lace gown was classic Aishwarya: beautiful and elegant. Showcasing her gorgeous curves with hints of sensuality via the sheerness.

I adore the red lip, Jimmy Choo pumps combo, but when it comes to the half-up, half-down hair, I’m stuck on the fence.

Who Wore Yanina Couture Better? Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Malin Akerman?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan kick started her Cannes Film Festival campaign wearing a green Yanina Spring 2017 Couture gown fit for a queen.

I loved Malin Akerman in the black version of the frock she wore earlier this week, but Aishwarya wins for me.

Why?

I much prefer the green, the modified bodice and the voluminous structure of her tiered skirt.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan In Ralph & Russo Couture – ‘120 Beats Per Minute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Ralph & Russo reigned supreme on the ‘120 Beats Per Minute (120 Battements Par Minute)’ premiere with the queen of Cannes, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, closing her Cannes Film Festival red carpet appearances with a bang.

I’m sure comparisons will be made with Araya’s frothy confection, but this red strapless flamenco-inspired Couture masterpiece stands alone.

Predictably romantic and magical in its style and stature, I love that she opted for a deep rouge lip when cherry red would’ve been so clique.

I hope the fairytale adventure she took us on will live on even after her departure.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan In Michael Cinco Couture – ‘Okja’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Dear Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,

There has never been a more perfect red carpet moment than this.

In my 10 (-1) years of RCFA, I have never been so moved by one gown, one woman.

I knew you would bring the magic of Cannes back to the fore; and you did so in breath-taking fashion wearing a Michael Cinco Fall 2017 Couture dress from the Dream of Versailles collection this evening at the ‘Okja’ premiere.

For that I will be eternally grateful, as you will always be my Cannes Queen.

All bets are off. This is my favourite look of the year.

Lovingly,

Aishwarya Rai In Elie Saab Couture – 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Aishwarya Rai In Elie Saab Couture - 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Aishwarya Rai attended amfAR’s 22nd Cinema Against AIDS Gala at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday (May 21) in Cap d’Antibes, France.

As you know, I wasn’t a huge fan of her first Elie Saab dress, so I was delighted with take 2.

This gorgeous creation, which hails from the Spring 2014 Couture collection, may now be considered safe by some following her bold choice from last night, but I have to say this is Aishwarya at her best.
