Who Wore Bibhu Mohapatra Better Ahna O'Reilly or Adriana Lima

Ahna O’Reilly was the first to wear this Bibhu Mohapatra Resort 2014 mixed scroll-print pattern dress with a plunging bodice with bandeau bralette detail to the Who What Wear and Cadillac’s 50 Most Fashionable Women of 2013 event back in October.

Last month, Adriana Lima wore the same dress to the IWC Schaffhausen event, styling her look exactly the same, with black ankle-strap sandals, plus she added the sponsor’s timepiece.

There isn’t much in it, but Adriana’s undeniable sex appeal wins me over here.

Tory Burch Rodeo Drive Flagship Opening

Tory Burch hosted a party on Tuesday (January 14) to celebrate her newly opened boutique on Rodeo Drive, which is her first flagship on the West Coast.

Celebrities came to check out the new store – of course, dressed in Tory Burch pieces, mostly from the Spring 2014 collection, which will banish your winter blues.

Kiernan Shipka: The ‘Mad Men’ actress was by far my favourite at this event. She’s only 14, but I’m always inspired by her red carpet looks. On this occasion she donned a pretty floral embroidered Tory Burch Spring 2014 tunic-style top with matching pants styled with a mirrored Tory Burch minaudiere to round out her uber-chic look, which wouldn’t look out of place on the French Riviera.

Hailee Steinfeld: While I love Hailee’s Tory Burch Spring 2014 ‘Emily’ A-line embellished dress, I wish she’d opted to go sans tights, especially considering she styled the look perfectly, giving it an edge with Tory Burch mirrored ‘Sadie’ slingbacks and a ladylike top-handle bag. The beehive ‘do was a great finishing touch to her ’60s-inspired frock.

Jessica Alba: I often see Jessica wearing Tory Burch pieces in her everyday life, so I was not surprised to see her show her support. Keeping the metallic theme going, she wore a striped cropped top from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection styled with a green freckled-print single pleat skirt from the Spring 2014 collection with the celeb-favourite white pumps.

Ahna O'Reilly In Thakoon - InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards Party

After a busy weekend which saw her attend the Art of Elysium gala and Diane von Furstenberg’s Journey of a Dress Exhibition, Ahna O’Reilly attended several Golden Globe Award after-parties on Sunday (January 12), including the one hosted by InStyle and Warner Bros. in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress, who has been showcasing a lot of love for print and colour lately, opted for a black Thakoon Pre-Fall 2013 strapless dress on this occasion.

Wearing an LBD with a twist, the A-line silhouetted piece features an abstract flutter peplum and floral embroidery at the front panel.

Keeping accessories to a minimum, she wore dual-colour black-and-white Sophia Webster ‘Nicole’ strappy sandals and onyx earrings, completing her look with a half-up, half-down hairstyle.

A refreshing twist on an LBD or a tad overworked?

Diane Von Furstenberg's Journey Of A Dress Exhibition 1The opening-party premiere of Diane Von Furstenberg’s ‘Journey of a Dress’ exhibition brought out a constellation of fashionable femmes (and fans) to preview the show at the Wilshire May Company Building in Los Angeles, California on Friday (January 10). Naturally, all the girls had on the best DVF designs.

Gwyneth Paltrow: Putting some sizzle into her strut, the actress vamped it up just a bit in a wrap jumpsuit, accented with a satin ribbon tie at the side. I found myself liking this sexy and streamlined approach from Gwynnie, especially with that magenta-pink lip. Yes, the plunge neckline is significant, but she’s perhaps one of the few that can make it work to her advantage.

Allison Williams: Looking as classically chic as ever, the ‘Girls’ starlet was oh-so-mod in a monochromatic ‘Amelia’ wrap dress with a flirty, graphic-patterned twirl skirt, from the Spring 2014 collection. She put a twist on the still-trending white pump with her Jimmy Choo ‘Madien’ pumps that were accented with a black ankle-strap and heel. Raising the girly look to a vintage-glam level, she styled her hair into a retro faux bob and painted on a deep-red lip.

Rooney Mara: The actress stayed in her black comfort zone in an asymmetrical dress topped off with a black satin ribbon. A tightly swept-back ‘do and oxblood lip added a more severe note to the loose frock—so, too, did the strange, one-shoulder jacket sleeve.

Ahna O'Reilly In Osman - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Ahna O’Reilly joined Nina Dobrev, Ashley Madekwe and Camilla Belle at the Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala held at Skirball Cultural Center on Saturday (January 11) in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Fruitville Station’ actress wore a strapless column Osman gown from the Spring 2013 collection.

The white backdrop on the carpet isn’t doing Ahna any favors here, because it seems to wash her out, but the simple white and gold aesthetic of the gown actually look quite lovely on her.

Pairing the look with simple gold jewelry and a gold box clutch let the gown’s texture be the focal point.

A sleek but casual updo, bold brows and her coral lips are the perfectly compliments to the white and metallic theme.
