Louis Vuitton Monogram Celebration

Louis Vuitton Monogram Celebration

A host of stars joined Nicole Kidman on the red carpet for the Louis Vuitton Monogram celebration held at the Museum of Modern Art on Friday (November 7) in New York City.

Miranda Kerr: As you know, the model has been trying to shake off her known for style and present much edgier red carpet looks. While Miranda might be just wearing a sheer top and printed skirt from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2015 collection, she’s not selling this look to me as she doesn’t strike me as an LV girl under the helm of Nicolas Ghesquière. The LV Fall 2013 or LV Spring 2013 collections are more suited to her ultra-femme style.

Jennifer Connelly: The actress is still going full steam ahead with the Louis Vuitton Spring 2014 collection, wearing a trompe l’oeil mini dress with lace tights and boots while carrying an LV minaudière. While I can’t deny how great she does look, I can’t help thinking how terribly bored her stylist must be at the moment to be working in such narrow confinement.

Charlotte Gainsbourg: Between Jennifer and Charlotte this LV Spring 2015 collection will be used up by Christmas, which might not be such a bad thing. Like a true Ghesquière disciple the French actress wore the runway look in its entirety, and while I have a been-there done-that feeling about this look, she’s working the hell out of it, therefore forcing me to buy what she’s selling.

Adèle Exarchopoulos and Chloe Sevigny In Louis Vuitton – Louis Vuitton ‘Series 1′ Shanghai & Tokyo Events

Adèle Exarchopoulos and Chloë Sevigny In Louis Vuitton - Louis Vuitton 'Series 1' Shanghai Events

Adèle Exarchopoulos and Chloë Sevigny were both on-hand for the Louis Vuitton ‘Series 1′ back-to-back events in Shanghai and Tokyo, celebrating designer Nicolas Ghesquière’s debut collection for the house, as well as the brand’s legacy. Outfitted in Louis Vuitton—natch—the girls made for a dynamic duo.

Shanghai

Adèle Exarchopoulos: The young French starlet was lovely in a Resort 2015 pink dress with a feminine flounced hem, paired with graphic, black-and-white pumps and a black Epi Petite-Malle clutch. The black accessories and the sporty zipper detailing on the dress keep this bubblegum look from venturing too sweet and twee. And, those shoes are everything here.

Chloë Sevigny: She also turned pastel-pink on its head, donning a Resort 2015 suit that had a retro-mannish appeal that I loved, what with with its buttons, exposed pockets and seaming. The galactic silver Vuitton bag and metallic pumps only added more quirk appeal, with the contrasting red belt and red lip the oh-so-right cherries on top.

Adèle Exarchopoulos In Louis Vuitton – Vogue Foundation Gala

Adele Exarchopoulos In Louis Vuitton - Vogue Foundation Gala

Adèle Exarchopoulos attended the Vogue Foundation Gala during Couture Fashion Week held at the Palais Galliera on Wednesday (July 9) in Paris, France.

The young actress wore her favourite brand, Louis Vuitton, selecting a colourful, delicately embroidered piece with a black flounce skirt from the Resort 2015 collection.

Like Adele, this frock was full of plenty of flair, vibrancy and intrigue; she styled the look with black and white LV ankle-strap pumps.

While she does wear other designers from time to time, Louis Vuitton – especially with Nicolas Ghesquière at the helm – appears to be her best fit.

Who Wore Louis Vuitton Better…Adele Exarchopoulos or Fan Bingbing?

Who Wore Louis Vuitton Better Adele Exarchopoulos or Fan Bingbing

Adele Exarchopoulos wore a sheer Louis Vuitton Spring 2014 gown with embroidered beaded and feathered appliqués to the 2014 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards back in January. This could’ve been a great look for the young French actress, had she not opted for that unfortunate pair of cycling shorts.

The look was much improved when worn by Fan Bingbing a few months later to the Power Of Film’ charity event, as she wisely added a simple black dress with additional styling including a Louis Vuitton clutch and black heels.

Yep, Fan wins for me.

Louis Vuitton Resort 2015 Front Row

The Place d’Armes in Monte Carlo, Monaco proved just the glossy venue for the Louis Vuitton Resort 2015 show, Nicolas Ghesquière’s second collection for the label, which was held on Saturday (May 17). A chic group of the designer’s darlings—many of whom have also been sighted at the Cannes Film Festival—were seated front and centre for the colourful, eclectic presentation, all correspondingly decked in looks from Vuitton’s Fall 2014 runway.

Jennifer Connelly: The actress trotted out a monochromatic dress with flared sleeves and skirt, accessorized with a small box clutch and patent-black statement booties. The mix of geometric shapes and cutouts, in addition to the armor-like collar overlays, was a lot to manage. Do you think she pulled it off?

Adele Exarchopoulos: Opting for a slightly sportier entrance, the French starlet wore a light lemon-hued zippered blouse with a statement white collar and black detailing. Shiny black leggings, a mini handbag and ankle-strap platform sandals completed her look.

Zhang Ziyi
: Bringing a bolder splash of colour to the proceedings, the Asian actress paired her cerulean-blue and black collared, zipper blouse with a deep eggplant A-line skirt, accented by a burgundy wrap belt.

Adele Exarchopoulos In Valentino Couture – Trophée Chopard

Adele Exarchopoulos In Valentino Couture - Trophée Chopard

Adele Exarchopoulos was the recipient of the annual Trophée Chopard, which was presented to her by Cate Blanchett during the Trophée Chopard event this evening (May 15) in Cannes, France.

The young French actress can add this to her trophy cabinet alongside the Palme d’Or award she won last year, and her Critics’ Choice ‘Best Young Actress’ Award.

Like Cate, Adele also wore Valentino, selecting a gold embroidered long-sleeve gown from the Spring 2014 Couture collection.

I don’t know if it’s the hair or the Chopard necklace, but as beautiful at the gown is, the actress looks much older than she did last night.

And is it strange that Cate’s ready-to-wear gown feels more Couture-like than this actual Couture gown?
