Meryl Streep: Like Julia Roberts – her red carpet pal – and Matthew McConaughey, Meryl opted for sunglasses on the red carpet, much to my chagrin. The actress wore a Stella McCartney embroidery-detailed navy dress with flared sleeves styled with black tights, Ferragamo pumps and a fold-over Louboutin clutch. I’m rarely impressed with her red carpet looks and this is no exception. I wish Helen Mirren’s stylist would take Meryl under his wing.
Oprah Winfrey: The TV host wore an emerald green Azzedine Alaia dress, belted at the waist to accentuate her hourglass shape, which she styled with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Abigail Breslin: Her pastel-grey Badgley Mischka gown makes her look much older and the colour is washing her out. The only thing I like here is the hair and makeup.
Abigail Breslin joined Hailee Steinfeld on the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California for the LA premiere of ‘Ender’s Game’ yesterday evening.
Despite being only a year older than her 16-year-old co-star, Abigail is already a veteran in this game.
The 17-year-old actress selected a Halston Heritage black gown with an open-back sheer yoke and embroidered sleeves, styling her look with vampy cat-eyes and adding a flourish via her green stone drop earrings.
Abigail is still experimenting with her style. Even though she opted for a glamorous gown, something tells me she’s a goth at heart.
Reese Witherspoon: The actress channelled this season’s androgyny trend wearing a classic Bocanegra pant suit with a feminine twist which comes courtesy of a lace top under her jacket. I love the emerald Irene Neuwirth earrings, but I’m not loving the exposed bra too much.
Amber Heard: Unfortunately the only thing I like about Amber’s look on this occasion is the pink Calvin Klein dress. Her makeup is considerably paler than the last time out, the lip colour is too dark for her petal pink dress and those Calvin Klein grey pumps are just ugly. All good runs must come to an end.
Jayma Mays: Opted for a very glamorous look by donning a gorgeous Malandrino gown. The sea-blue silk chiffon one-ruffled-shoulder gown was teamed with a black Hoss clutch and David Yurman jewels.
