Who Wore Valentino Better Lea Seydoux or Charlotte Ronson

For the Cannes Film Festival photocall of ‘Grand Central’, Lea Seydoux wore a beautiful Valentino Fall 2013 long-sleeved white dress featuring blue-and-silver contrasting beaded embroidery styled with silver Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals.

Last month Charlotte Ronson wore the same dress while attending the 11th Brazil Foundation NYC Gala.

Sadly, the orange lip and black pumps didn’t work for me. I much prefer Lea’s complementary styling, chic bob and flawless makeup, so she wins for me.

Who Wore Parker Better Olivia Munn or Jamie Chung

Back in June Alison Pill and Olivia Munn attended HBO’s ‘The Newsroom’ screening and panel held at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in California.

Showing off her golden glow, Olivia wore a summery Parker dress featuring a demure pleated skirt balanced by a chic keyhole detail at the neckline, and side-weave embroidery in black and white, offset by a cool watercolour print; she styled her look with nude pumps.

The equally beautiful Jamie Chung wore the same dress to the SPLASH event by Live Love Spa, styling her look with silver Zara sandals.

Between the sandals, the tumbling curls and the blue eyeliner, I much prefer Jamie’s styling of this look.

Who Wore Preen Better Helena Christensen or Jodi Kidd

Helena Christensen wore a Preen ‘Dawn’ citrus-flower-embroidered navy-and-lime-green three-quarter-sleeve dress featuring a solid lime-green back panel while attending Matches Fashion’s celebration of their Rika Magazine partnership.

Her demure dress with striking, vibrant embroidery was styled with simple black pumps.

Fellow model Jodie Kidd wore the same dress while attending the evening to celebrate the Global Fund last month.

This is a perfect example of how accessories can elevate a look. Jodie’s sexy lace Jimmy Choos, bracelets and a black clutch add so much more to the look than Helena’s simple pumps.

An easy win for Jodie.

Who Wore Victoria Beckham Better Carey Mulligan or Victoria Beckham

Carey Mulligan was the first to don a look from Victoria Beckham’s Fall 2013 collection when she attended the Tiffany & Co Blue Book Ball back in April.

While most, like Kate Hudson, donned beautiful gowns – as one would expect at a ball – Carey marched to the beat of her own drum wearing an uber-chic ‘Le Smoking’ tuxedo suit featuring satin shawl-collar lapels and a contemporary slashed-sleeves twist.

Victoria Beckham wore the same suit while attending the celebration of The Global Fund’s first Green Carpet Challenge last month.

Unlike Carey, VB wore her jacket over her shoulders, adding a black wrap top which is also from her collection.

Controversially, I’m going to go with Carey on this occasion as I love the way she wore the jacket as presented, making use of the slashed sleeves.

WWIB Stella McCartney

Alyssa Milano donned a black Stella McCartney jumpsuit to the 2013 Young Hollywood Awards back in August.

Between the fit, the creases and the length of the pants, I wasn’t too enamoured with this look, but I did love the yellow pumps.

A month later, the jumpsuit was given a whole new lease of life when Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore it to the Elle Magazine party.

Some might say that the jumpsuit is too short for her, but as a fellow girl over 5ft 10in I would take cropped and streamlined over bunched up at the ankle.

An easy win for Rosie.
